Ghanaian rapper Flowking Stone is set to feature in the 2018 edition of 2018 edition of the ‘100 Years of Beat’ festival.
‘100 Years of Beat’ festival is organized by Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, Germany
Flowking will be performing on Saturday 28th April, 2018. He’s performing alongside a four-man ensemble which will produce great music of woven spoken language over live instrumentation.
Flowking will also deliver a talk on 29th April, 2018 on the theme ‘100 Years of Beat. Considering his insight in Ghanaian drum language and impeccable rap talent.
His talk is centered on the theme; The Impact of the Drum in the world.’
The annual music festival aims at bringing together music and art lovers from different parts of the world. They meet to celebrate diverse culture through music and art.
100 Years of Beat tells this story and investigates the relationship between played and programmed beats.
It presents style-formative drummers and explores (back) beat concepts from Brazil, Japan, Ghana, and the Congo. It also includes rhythm practices of Indian and Colombian music.
Background
His real name is Kwaku Nsia Boama. He was formerly Known by the stage name ‘Stone’. He has however changed to Flowking Stone.
Flowking Stone is one of the sensational Hip-Life rappers hailing from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The undisputed rapper had formerly belonged to a duo team called BRADEZ BRADEZ.
BRADEZ BRADEZ was a Multi- talented musical duo, made up of the two blood brothers; Kwaku Nsiah-Boamah (Flow King-Stone) and Kwaku Nsiah-Amankwah (Kunta Kinte).
