Stop Being Envious Of Your Colleagues In The Music Industry – Dada KD
Ghanaian High life musician, Dada Kwaku Duah aka Dada KD has urged all musicians to desist
from their envious attitude towards one another when their fellow is climbing the success ladder and be each other’s keeper.
He made this statement in an interview with Kofi Adoma on his show, Kofi TV saying, “With this job, whether you like it or not, we should understand that we all can’t be at the top.
You’ll have a competitor and because you don’t know what keeps the person going, I’m saying it is not necessary to envy your brother”.
The M’ye Hot singer revealed that sometimes fans of various musicians are the source of hatred
but it is up to the musicians to stand tall and refuse to make a re-banter and let sleeping dogs lie.

He stated that the situation gets worst to the extent that musicians wish to see their fellow
dead or not have money for food to survive.
“They won’t invite you for their shows because they think you’ll take away their money and glory. They also wish you’ll not have money to buy food to eat in a day and to the extreme, wish you were dead”.
Dada KD, who has been in the music industry for the past eleven years revealed that some
Ghanaian musicians are self-centered and do not even want to see their colleague perform
their songs on stage and he sees that attitude to be very appalling.
Stating that, he doesn’t see anything wrong with an artist performing his fellows’ tunes since
they are both family and entertainers.
Dada KD is noted for songs like Fatia Fata Nkrumah, Odo Tekyerema, Ye be ye yen hu fi, M’ye Hot.
