Shatta Wale Says He Should Have Won Stonebwoy’s Award

Controversial Ghanaian dancehall music, Shatta Wale talks about Ghana Music Awards. According to him, Stonebwoy’s award was for him. However, he missed out because CharterHouse banned him.

He made these assertions during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz Show. He argued that Stonebwoy won the award had it not been the 2013 ban placed on him by the organizers of the Award scheme.

Also, according to him, Charter House and the entire entertainment industry were not fair with him.

“You the Ghana Music Awards wey dem do things make Stonebwoy win by my award. My guy, don’t let us play with it.

You people didn’t fight for it. You people should have fought for it. A whole Charterhouse will ban one Ghanaian artiste and the whole industry will sit down and watch”

Furthermore, he explained that the reason why he recorded video clips to slam Charterhouse and its CEO. He stated that the videos were to fight for what was rightfully his.

“When I say all the awards Stonebwoy won, I should have won them, you should understand. I was fighting for what was rightfully mine. The award I went for which I thought, the streets knew that I really deserved that award and they gave it to somebody…I will fight for my right, that is what I did”
