The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held a thanksgiving service at the Accra International Conference Center. The occasion was to thank God for the victory given to Nana Akufo-Addo at the 2016 elections.

The top stalwarts of the NPP were present for the thanksgiving ceremony.

President Akuffo-Addo spoke at the programme. He stated that there was the need for Ghanaians to continue to pray towards the peace, unity and freedom of the country.

The theme for the service was: “Thanking the LORD who won the battle for Ghana.”

Akufo-Addo of the NPP beat ex-president John Mahama and five other candidates in the December 7 election by securing 53.85 per cent of valid votes cast to win the contest for the presidency.
