Popular Nigerian actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde talks about her experience in Ghana. She was in Ghana over the weekend for the fifth edition of AFRIMA. Moreover, after her visit to the country, she took to her Instagram handle to ask some questions of Nigeria.
The actress expressed total shock the extent of the economy. She revealed in the post that she changed N 10, 000 and had just a mere GH 120 Cedis. However, that mere Gh120 took her a long way.
Omotola further spoke about when she forgot to pick up her phones at immigration. However, they told her to go to the guest service and pick it up. The top actress also mentioned the Kotoka International Airport as another advancement in Ghana
Omotola also questioned the adage which seeks to refer to her home country, Nigeria, as the Giant of Africa and asks if it is really the case.
“Okay… So Economists , come and analyze oh… this Amongst other things was quite alarming on my trip to Ghana.
Hmm… I changed N10,000 (Ten thousand Naira) and it was only worth …..
C120 ( One hundred and twenty cedis)
Not C1,200 and certainly not 12,000 cedis but a mere 120 cedis!!!
1 dollar in ghana is 4.8 cedis !
#Ghanamustgo and they have Gone, are they moving faster than us?
I don’t want to talk about the airport , Tubaba has already talked about that but I forgot both my phones while signing the immigration cards, about 10mins later, it was announced to pick them up at guest services! Ha!
