According to Shatta, the song Gringo is for Ghanaians. However, the video is meant to put him on the international scene.

Moreover, he explained why the song is so short. He stated that it is only an introduction meant to generate buzz for his upcoming album “The Reign”.

“I said a whole lot of things in one minute some seconds… so I just felt like doing an introduction before my album and already its reigning and people are talking about it…I have had collaborations from outside, so its gonna be a great album but it is an introduction so people should watch out.”
