Are Ghanaians Not Tired Of Zylofon Media?- Mark Okraku
Zylofon Media has come under lots of criticisms these past few days.
The organization, which is barely two years in the country has signed six artistes onto its record label.
Nevertheless, the media outlet has been making so many headlines for all the wrong reasons for some days now.
Although some have described the negative news emerging from the media outfit as mere publicity stunts, others believe things are falling apart at Zylofon.
A few Ghanaians, including the outspoken media personality Afia Schwarzenegger have however come out with their observations.
According to Afia, instead of the record label helping its artistes to prosper, they are rather dwindling. She took her time to explain her observations about each of the six artistes signed by the organization in terms of their career. There are a few who disagree with her but there are those who could not agree less with Afia.
It seems outspoken Producer and CEO of of Slip Entertainment, Mark Okraku Mantey is in concord with Afia.
According to Mr. Okraku, Ghanaians are actually getting tired of always hearing about Zylofon Media when no one even knows what they’re really doing.
He, therefore, questioned the record label’s significant contribution to careers of the acts signed on the label.
Mark Okraku Mantey Speaks;
“Where is the substance that Zylofon is selling to us?”, he quizzed on Showbiz A-Z on Joy FM with Naa Ashorkor on Saturday.
“If you say that you are selling a product, the product itself must be good before you can add the promotion to get the final consumption,” he added.
Mark Okraku Mantey also sought answers to what the signed artistes have been able to achieve since joining Zylofon Media.
“The artistes have they grown from when we knew them? I think we should be getting answers to some of those questions instead of every time Zylofon launching this or that cash thing,” he stated.
Mr. Okraku believes the company has the needed resources alright but lacks a solid foundation to propel its vision.
He also expressed his dismay at the communication strategy adopted by Head of Communications for Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah, aka Sammy Flex.
He added that; “For me, some of the questions I would want to ask..all of us…are we not tired of Zylofon or discussing Zylofon?.”
