Kwesi Arthur Goes To Church For Thanksgiving,Performs His New Song ‘Woara'(VIDEO)
Hip Hop star, Kwesi Arthur has performed his latest song “woara” to his congregation.
Kwesi was in his church, Community 9 Pentecost Church in Tema for a thanksgiving service.
The rapper shared a video of himself sharing a testimony of how far God has brought him and where God is taking him to.
“who knew that one day i would make the kind of songs my family would be singing along to in the church! this was a spiritual moment for me…” reads his caption.
After the testimony, Kwesi sang the song and to his amazement, the congregation tagged along.
Meanwhile, Kwesi had revealed in an earlier interview that he used to sing in church but had to stop. Something he attributed to the fact that he used to end up singing secular songs in the church.
Background
Ghana musician Kwesi Arthur was nominated for the 2018 BET Awards Viewer’s Choice Best International Act category this year.
He battled it out with Sjava (South Africa), Mc Soffia (Brazil) Nailah Blackman (Trinidad and Tobago), Not3S (UK), Prince Waly (France), Sik-k (South Korea), TakeAMic (France) and IAMDDB (UK).
Although he didn’t win, he sees such an opportunity as a blessing to greater achievements considering his background.
He has since been grateful and released a gospel song, ‘Woara’ to thank God for his blessings upon his life.
Born Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, the rapper who has churned out hit songs Grind Day and Anthem also picked up the Hip hop Song of the Year at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for his Grind Day (Remix) track.
