Joe Mettle Headlines Gospel Impact Festival In Côte D’Ivoire
Award-winning Ghanaian Gospel artist, Joe Mettle, has headlined the 2018 edition of Côte d’Ivoire’s Gospel Impact Festival held in Abidjan.
The two-day event was held at the Palais de la Culture and the University Stadium, Codoy, on May 4 and May 5 respectively.
It brought together music lovers from across Africa to celebrate the goodness of God.
Joe Mettle thrilled patrons with soul-touching performances. There were also performances from other headliners. They include; Georgina Guede (from Côte d’Ivoire) and Moise Mbiye (from DR Congo).
“The experience here has been a great blessing. My team and I are grateful for the love shown us here and we give God all the praise for this encounter; we cannot wait to come back,” Joe Mettle told Ivorian media after the event.
Joe Mettle is a force to reckon with when it comes to worship and gospel music.
He won the Artiste of the year awards at the 2017 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
This made him the first gospel artiste to win the Artiste of the Year award since the inception of the awards in 2000.
Although he lost the mantle to the late dancehall star, Ebony Reigns this year, he still did not go home empty handed.
He was again crowned the ‘Gospel Artiste of the Year’ at this year’s VGMAs for the second successive.
Joe also took home the ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ award with ‘Bo Noo Ni,’ as well as the ‘Best Male Vocalist of the Year.’
He is currently preparing to host the 2018 edition of his annual Praiz Reloaded concert in Accra, Ghana.
This year’s event is on the theme ‘Atmosphere of Miracles’ and will take place on Sunday, June 24, at the Action Chapel International, Spintex.
