I Used To Sell Kenkey And Toffee – Obaapa Christy

Ghanaian gospel musician, Obaapa Christy talks about the challenges she face in her life. She spoke about this in an interview with B Ice of Agyenkwa FM.

Moreover, she revealed that her current hit song ‘W’asue Me’ is basically a testimony. It’s a testimony of the Lord throughout her over thirteen-years music career.

Furthermore, she revealed that for the most part she had a very bumpy road. She disclosed that at some point in time, she sold toffees, kenkey, ice cream and other things at the Suame magazine. That was the only way she could get something to eat.

The award-winning musician further revealed that prior to her selling at the popular magazine, she used to trek to one village in the hinterlands to sell for her parents because they were informed that even though the place looked very poor, the residents there were the best in buying of goods.

She was in the studios of Agyenkwa FM about her upcoming album launch. The launch takes place on March 17 at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Adenta Frafraha.

Proceeds from the album launch will be used to support the poor and the needy. According to Obaapa Christy, anyone who would make it to the album launch would never leave the place the same.
