I like NAM1’s Spirit; We Need His Brain To Do Better – Kontihene

Veteran hiplife artiste, Kontihene expressed his fondness for embattled Menzgold boss Nana Appiah Mensah.

He spoke about this in an exclusive interview with AJ Sarpong on Citi TV’s ‘Hall of Fame’. Moreover, Kontihene said even though he does not know much about how NAM1 went about his gold business, he believes there is a virtue in him that can be tapped into.

“I like his spirit. I like his boldness. There is something about him that I like. I pray that we can use his brain for something better for ourselves”

Also, he stated that he has nothing against NAM1. However, he does not want radio presenters to play his song ‘Asesa’ song when discussing Menzgold issues. Recently, some radio presenters started playing Kontihene’s ‘Asesa’ while discussing Menzgold Matters. He came out to warn them to stop playing the song.

The song gained currency in the heat of the Menzgold saga because of the line ‘Nana Appiah me nwom nie’

According to Kontihene, even though both of them are called Nana Appiah it was wrong to play his song for the Menzgold boss when it got into trouble.

To him, he did not understand why the DJs did not do the same when NAM1 was signing artistes with huge sums of money.
