High Court Places Ten Day Injunction On GFA’s Activities As Government Seeks Judgement Officially Dissolving The Body
An Accra High Court placed a ten day, interim injunction on the activities of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Furthermore, the court’s judgement freeze any and all activities of the body. Moreover, the body is currently in the crosshairs of government for engaging in corrupt activities.
Therefore, government has before the high court filed a motion seeking for the official dissolution of the association. This is in accordance with the statement the President last week.
Actions that led to the injunction against the Ghana Football Association (GFA)
Moreover, the release of the Anas ‘Number 12’ documentary last week exposed the rot in the GFA. Apparently, the loot is by its own boss Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Therefore, the video led to the President ordering for the dissolution of the body. Therefore, in accordance with that the Attorney General filed a suit before the High Court seeking just that.
However, prior to the determination of the substantive case an injunction has been placed on the GFA, banning it’s officials from carrying out any action in an official capacity.
