‘Guilty Or Not guilty’, I Stand With Otabil – Trigmatic
Trigmatic offers his opinion.
Ghanaian musician, Trigmatic defends the embattled founder and pastor of the International Central Gospel Church, Pastor Mensah Otabil.
Over the past weeks, Pastor Otabil came under intense criticisms from a section of Ghanaians. This had to do with his role in the collapse of Capital Bank owing to his position as then board chairman of the bank.
However, Trig stated that the issue at stake is an allegation and until proven guilty, he will stand by the man of God. He made these statements during an appearance on Celebrity Fanzone on GH One TV.
Trigmatic on Pastor Mensah Otabil and whether or not he is guilty
“First of all let’s not forget that the highlighted word here is ‘alleged’ or ‘may have’ been party. It could be that after investigations he may not be a part of it. I must say that he is one of the greatest leaders Africa has ever produced. The issue at stake here is that, it is alleged. I would say until proven guilty…I would not give a damn.”
However, the rapper insisted that his admiration and respect for the man of God does not also mean he is above the laws of the land.
“He (Pastor Otabil) doesn’t go beyond being investigated. I would rather wait for an investigation to be carried out. If he is guilty, I respect him so much, he would take responsibility. Being a Christian, I am going to stand by him, guilty or not guilty, he is a spiritual head of a bigger faith I belong to.”
