The First ‘Big’ Pay Cheque I Received As An Actress Bounced – Nana Ama McBrown
Prolific actress, Nana Ama Mcbrown has revealed that her first ‘big’ pay cheque as an actress was invalid.
According to her, the cheque turned out to be a deceptive tactic by a movie producer.
She recounted how a movie producer handed her a GHC 5oo cheque in a movie she landed in in 2007. Although he knew very well he didn’t have that enough money in the account.

“The day I received the cheque, I was jittery for the stated day to go clear it. It finally came and I dressed up early for an Adum bank and presented it at the counter and was asked to wait.
The waiting period raised my suspicion and later, I was told to send back the cheque to the issuer because he had no funds in the account. I did and it would shock you he took it and gave me GH¢70”, she narrated.
She however added that though this short lived her happiness and frustrated her, it did not deter her from pursuing the career she had chosen after quitting professional football.
