E.L Thrills Fans At New York Fashion Week
Rapper Elorm Adablah, best known by the stage name EL who is currently on tour in the states to promote his upcoming album ‘WAVs’ (West African Vibes) due for release later this year has thrilled some supermodels in New York at the City’s Fashion Week event celebrations.
The ‘Koko’ hitmaker, who is currently working on his new album surely set the event ground ablaze with his unbeatable Afrobeat songs after hitting the first show off his E.L Live Tour in Minnesota. The attendees were surprised with a full-blown concert by Studio 189, which got everybody dancing to the rhythm of E.L’s Afrobeat music.
The models then featured the line by standing in groups, while talking and dancing with one another. Just as renowned fashion designer, Abrima Erwiah had said at the beginning of the event that “It’s all about inclusiveness”, participants indeed included people of all ages, ethnicities, and colors.
Dawson began the show by asking for a moment of silence to remember those affected by the attacks on 9/11. She followed it with a video about Studio 189’s social justice work and the impact it’s having in Africa. The clothing complimented an African aesthetic with bright colors, light fabrics, and native prints.
The invitees found that there were no traditional seats but instead, stones replaced seats! upon stepping feet at the event ground at Metropolitan West as staff members roamed around sampling pieces from the collection. The event saw Actress Rosario Dawson also debuting her latest Studio 189 collection at the Fashion Week with a special touch.
