Dr Osei Kwame Despite Builds Children’s Block At 37 Military Hospital As Birthday Gift
CEO of Despite Group of Companies, Osei Kwame Despite continues with his philanthropic work.
His birthday was over the weekend. Therefore to celebrate his birthday, he handed over an ultra-modern Child Oncology and Physiotherapy Unit to the 37 Military Hospital at a ceremony in Accra.
Components Of The Block
The hospital block is named after him. These are the things in the hospital block
• Paediatric Oncology (Cancer) unit. It comprises; two consulting rooms, a nurses’ reception station and office. Also, a main ward for in-patients, a treatment area, a kitchenette, and five washrooms.
• The Paediatric Pysiotherapy unit. It containsntwo consulting rooms, a furnished rehabilitation gymnasium/playroom, three washrooms, a kitchenette and a waiting area.
• Also included in this complex are two extra private wards for general paediatric admissions.
The commissioning of the Unit coincided with the Birthday of Osei Kwame.
However, Kwame Sefa-Kayi did the honour on behalf of Dr Osei Kwame.
Statement On Behalf Of Osei Kwame Despite
“This Children’s Block exists today after a regular medical checkup he conducted in this hospital with Captain John Kwesi Nyamekye. Dr Osei Kwame (Despite) after his meeting with Captain, had a conviction to bless this hospital and in this regard, asked Capt. Nyamekye what he can do to support the hospital. This dialogue resulted in the construction of this Children’s Block which the Heads of The 37 Military Hospital have named – The Osei Kwame (Despite) Children’s Block.”
Also, he said the Despite Group of Companies would be handing over two Police Posts to the Ghana Police Service in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Region very soon.
The 37 Military Hospital presented a plague to Dr Osei Kwame in appreciation of his contribution. The ceremony was also attended by popular actors and actress in the country.
