Dr Kwabena Adjei Officially Launches Toku Foundation
Dr Kwabena Adjei launched the Toku Foundation. The foundation is to help in the education of brilliant but needy girls.
The launch took place in Trascaco Phase 1 Gardens. Moreover, several dignitaries including Nana Adwoa Awindor, Joseph Boahen Aido, Gifty Anti and Nana Ansah Kwaw IV were in attendance.
Toku Foundation, named after the father of Dr Kwabena Adjei. The foundation is passionate about the education and wellbeing of the African Child. The focus of this foundation is on Quality Education and girl child empowerment; helping underprivileged but brilliant children in society realize their dream of attaining the highest possible form of education through scholarship schemes.
Speaking at the launch, the Chief Coordinator of Toku Foundation, Emelia Ohene-Kena said:
“Nearly 15 years ago, Toku foundation began as nothing more than an idea by Dr. Kwabena Adjei, that brilliant but needy children in Ghana should have the opportunity to be whatever they dream to be, provided they work hard for it and that access to quality education for these kids would not be based on merely chance but on merit and diligence. “
Future projects include providing Educational Sponsorship; Toilet Facilities; Classroom desks, and Roofing classrooms.
