Don’t Blame Me For Gallaxy’s Dying Career – Gideon Narh
CEO of Harbour City Records, Gideon Narh talks about Afrobeat music group, Gallaxy. He is the former manager of Ghanaian Highlife duo. He disclosed that he has no hands n the current status of the former vibrant group.
However, he mentioned that they still release some great tunes which enjoy the needed media airplay. This is even though Gallaxy is not as vibrant as before
Gideon mentioned Gallaxy’s ‘Woti Ati’ and ‘My Prayer’ as some examples of their songs
The Afrobeats/Hiplife group, Gallaxy, under Harbour City Records released about 17 singles, close to 10 music videos, an award in 2016 and multiple awards nominations in Ghana and abroad. However, the group said that they were uninterested in working with Harbour City Records in the 2017.
Moreover, they cited low patronage of their performance and the label’s inability to afford a car and accommodation.
Gideon further stated that his focus is on his new rap artist Real MC from the Central region of Ghana.
