Daylight Robberies Increase As Armed Robbers Kill Lebanese And Steal GHC200,000

Daylight armed robberies are on the increase in the country.

A Lebanese man was shot dead in Tema in broad daylight. This was after he went to withdraw cash from the Bank at the Tema Industrial Area.

Apparently, gun-wielding armed robbers trailed the man popularly known after he left the bank in his Toyota Corolla vehicle.

Furthermore, according to reports, the armed gang blocked the deceased’s car. They then shot him and bolted with an amount believed to be 200,000 cedis.

Moreover, there were at least eight armed men in a car and on a motorbike who carried out the attack.

The deceased, worked as a cashier at Delta Agro, a soap-manufacturing company.

Spate of armed robberies in the capital

The daylight robbery comes barely 24 hours after a similar incident at the North Industrial Area in Accra.

Four armed men stormed the Royal Motors and fired guns. Also, they stole the company’s cash and run off with the CCTV recording.

Moreover, the nation’s Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery assured the nation, the security agencies have the situation under control.

However, that seems not to be the case. These waves of crime heighten the growing fear and insecurity in the country.
