Construction Of A National Cathedral Is A Misplaced Priority- Ningo Prampram MP Sam George

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George vehemently opposes the National Cathedral. Moreover, he was a former Presidential Staffer under John Mahama’s administration.

Also, he stated that the soon to be built National Cathedral is a misplaced priority.

Sam George states his feelings about National Cathedral

The MP was one of the panelists of TV3’s Newday program. Moreover, he said that he does not see any reason why we are spending tax payers money on an institution that has refused to pay taxes for the development of this country since Adam.

Also, he stated that it doesn’t matter that the Christian Council will build it. This is because he still feels it is not right at this moment. Moreover, the church as a body does not have money sitting somewhere. Therefore, it is the same many poor Christians in our society that are going to cough-up money for the building of the structure.

Also, he refuted claims that the National Cathedral was an initiative of the Christian council. However, it was a promise by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the Christian Community.
