Organizers Announce Hosts For The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards
Model and Media Personality Berla Addardey popularly known as Berla Mundi is the host of this year’s 2018 Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs).
Berla had hosted the the red carpet sessions of the awards scheme in the previous years.
Awards-winning actor and model, John Dumelo on the other hand will be her co-host.
The 2018 edition of the Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs) is slated for Saturday, April 14, 2018. The venue for the even is the Accra International conference Center (AICC) .
The 19th edition of the event is under the theme; “Our Music Beyond Borders”. This according to organizers is an intent to help promote Ghanaian artistes and music beyond the Ghanaian and African market.
Rapper Sarkodie snagged the highest number of nominations at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards. He got nine nods including the ultimate – ‘Artiste of the Year.’
Gospel artiste, Joe Mettle followed closely with seven nominations.
Stonebwoy, Ebony, Kidi and Shatta Wale got six nominations each.
What the VGMAs is all about:
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is the biggest event on the Ghanaian Entertainment Calendar. It aims to among other things, recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the various players in Ghana’s music industry through the nations most coveted awards scheme.
