Appietus To Extend A Helping Hand To 100 Underground Artistes
Celebrated sound engineer and Musician Appietus is embarking on a project that will help underground musicians in the career.
This new initiative will see him record 100 new artistes without taking a penny from them.
Born Appiah Dankwah, he has made a great impact on the Ghanaian music industry. His signature is on the works of so many artistes who are now top performers in and outside the country.
Appietus has left an indelible mark on the music industry in Ghana. However, his desire to do more and help discover and groom more artistes has made him set this initiative.
This initiative will be enjoyed across the 1o regions in the country as the 100 talented underground artistes will be selected from all the regions.
The lucky 100’s will later have the chance to record their songs in his studio. Looking at the task ahead, Appietus states that he will need the assistance from all the chapters of the Musicians Union of Ghana ( MUSIGA) .
The program will however commence in the Volta Region next week. The aim of this project is to give up and coming musicians the needed push. Appietus believes that the dreams of talented up and coming artistes are shattered because of financial restraints .
” There are so many good musicians in Ghana but financial restrains have stalled their careers since they don’t have the resources to record and promote their works. That is why I’m embarking on this project and to give them the opportunity to do what they love best” he noted.
He further revealed that he will select 5 artistes to manage aside recording songs for them.
” Recording 100 songs is not easy because it takes a lot of creativity to be versatile. I have to make sure i don’t repeat beats to make them boring and that is why i have given myself enough time to do a good job,” he said.
