Actress Paulina Oduro Slams Ghanaian Dancehall Artistes, Says They Don’t Know The Differences Between Reggae And Dancehall
Ghanaian actress and veteran high-life musician, Paulina Oduro expresses dissatisfaction towards Ghanaian dancehall artistes.
She made these statements on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda show. Also, the musician is a Judge in Talented Kids reality show. Furthermore, she expressed that some Ghanaian dancehall artistes know nothing about dance-hall music. However, they the claim to be doing dancehall.
Moreover, she added that each time she hears such so-called dance-hall kinds of music from these artistes she feels like cringing.

“I cringe when I hear some of the so-called dance-hall artistes. It is not that I don’t like it. However, do Ghanaians know what dance-hall means?”
She continued to express herself. Also, she revealed that she was brought up in Jamaica and once married a Jamaican. Therefore, she really understands what dancehall means unlike what these artistes are doing here in Ghana.
“As an elderly person I get very angry when I hear some of the lyrics these dance-hall artistes are coming up with…they don’t know the difference, they don’t know what they’re saying. Find out the meaning of the lyrics before you say them.”
