I Am Not Disappointed That Sarkodie Hasn’t Signed Me Yet- Awal

Young rapper, Awal talks about his relationship with Sarkodie. Moreover, he revealed that he is not disappointed that his “godfather” Sarkodie has not signed him to the Sarkcess Music Label yet.

He made these statements to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM. Awal stated:

“I don’t think Sarkodie signing me is going to be a big thing. If he signs me it’s good, if not its also fine and others can also sign me.”

Also, he added that he wasn’t jealous at all when Sarkodie signed Strongman. However, he was happy for a brother.

“I felt happy for a brother [Strongman] and that also motivated me to work extra hard. Maybe Sarkodie has seen something in him that he has not seen in me, I only think I have to really work extra hard”

Furthermore, he commented on the rumors that he and Sarkodie were not on good terms. He stated they still have a good relationship.

“We are still close and have a good relationship. To me, that’s all that matters. I am working on a new song and I have sent him [Sarkodie] the song for him to do a verse for me”

Awal Mohammed was the second runner up at the 2010 edition of TV3’s Talented Kidz. He also partook in MTN Hitmaker 2018, a competition he absolutely had so much confidence of winning.
