Government Acquires New Official Residence For Black Stars Coach
Government is cutting cost.
Over the years, the government alongside the Ministry of of youth and sports have been overspending. Moreover, they used to spend millions of dollars housing whoever was the coach of the senior national team in first class hotels.
However, the government has acquired a new residence which would house whoever holds the position from now on. Moreover, this is in a measure to save money.
The building is a 3 bedroom apartment. Also, it was reportedly acquired and renovated for GHȻ300,000.
Sports Minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah presented the building to current Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah. The coach would move into the residence and stay there until the day he loses his job.
According to the minister, government spent $9,000 every month during the tenure of the last coach and Nana Akufo-Addo decided to stop that trend.
