Sarkodie Finally Confirms Castro Dead?
Award-winning rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, best known as Sarkodie is causing some kind of uproar on social media.
A tweet about long lost Ghanaian musician Theophilus Tagoe aka Castro by the BET award winner is causing confusion among Ghanaians on social media.
Castro and his girlfriend, Janet Badu, both disappeared on July 6, 2014. Both were using jet skis during a holiday with Asamoah Gyan’s family and other colleagues at a resort in Ada.
Since then, no one has heard anything about their disappearances. Some Ghanaians however believe that they’re probably dead. Others have alleged that Castro is in another African country and would return at the opportune time.
However, Sarkodie in a tweet shared a video of one of his performances abroad on the song ‘Adonai’. Adonai is one of Sark’s bangers which featured Castro.
The confusion however about the tweet is Sark’s caption which reads; “connection… RIP Castro”. The acronym, RIP we all understand to mean Rest In Peace and is usually used for the dead.
Hence many people who saw this are querying if the ‘Highest’ album maker is confirming that the “Siehor” hitmaker is dead.
In defense a fan however commented that “RIP” in Sarkodie’s tweet meant, “Return If Possible”. However, most of the fans who replied to the tweet would have none of that.
Meanwhile, Sarkodie in one of his interviews revealed that ‘Adonai’ brought him a lot of deals and gave him the opportunity to perform on many stages both in and outside the country.
He however revealed that he might not be able to produce another song of “Adonai’s” qualities because he was not cut out for that kind of music.
