Joe Mettle is giving the story behind the marks on his face.

Gospel star, Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle has two marks on his cheeks. Contrary to belief, the marks are not any tribal identification. However, they are there for different reasons.

Joe Mettle gave his explanation on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show.

He explained that he nearly lost his life when he was younger. Therefore, his parents went from one shrine to another seeking help to save his life.

According to Joe, his parents sought help from various deities. This is because they did not want to lose him.

He revealed that his parents thought seeking succour from secret places would save his life. However, all their efforts yielded no positive results.

Furthermore, he stated that the priests they called on were not content when they gave him the first mark. Therefore, they added another on his other cheek thinking it would heal him.

All the efforts by the fetish priests to save him proved futile until he met God at 4 years.

Joe Mettle noted that he has not been seriously sick after age 4 when God raised his hands to save him.
