Kwame Sefa Kayi Wins 2016 Journalist Of The Year Award
Host of Peace FM’s morning show, Kokorokoo is winner of the Professor PAV Ansah Journalist of the Year, 2016 award.
The awards ceremony took place on 20th December,2017 at the banquet hall of the State House in Accra.
Kwame Sefa Kayi, affectionatly called ‘Chairman General’ has been outstanding in the year under review according to the Awards Committee.
He gets a three bedroom house from KOANS Building Solutions. The Chairman General also received Ghc60,000, three bedroom house, and an SUV.
A total of 35 journalists were recognized for their handwork in producing compelling stories in 2016. They are from the various television, radio, print and online media.
Other award winners include;
Latif Iddrisu, Joy News – best reporter anti narcotic. He was also awarded for his role in the anti-galamsey fight.
Seth Bakope, Daily Graphic – best Agricultural report award
Seth Kwame Boateng, Joy FM – best feature award
Peter Kwao Adator, TV3 -best Health Report award
Benedict Owusu, Joy Sports – best Sports Journalist
Alice Ayittey, GHONE TV picked two awards for best Feature, Education and Investigation Reporting
David Andoh, Myjoyonline – the best photo journalist award
Alice Aryittey, GHOne TV picked two awards for Best Feature, Education and Investigative Reporting.
Jamila Akweley Oketchire, Daily Guide- Best Sanitation and Hygiene Report.
Portia Gabor, TV3- The most promising award.
Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana won the best Talk Show TV.
Citi FM, however won Best Breakfast show in the radio category.
