John Dumelo And Wife In Church For The First Time As Couple

Ghanaians witnessed what can be termed so far as the celebrity wedding of the year between actor, John Dumelo and his wife, Gifty Mawunya over the weekend.

The colorful and plush traditional marriage ceremony came off at Nkornu in Accra.

The new couple, have since been the talk of the nation, making headlines here and there.

Though not opened to the public, the ceremony was well attended by close friends and families of the couple.

Some top celebrities from Nigeria and Ghana also flooded the Lashibi residence of  Mawunya’s parents for the ceremony.

Former President, John Dramani Mahama, who happens to be a good friend of John Demelo was also there to grace the occasion.

Mawunya is the younger sister of actress Selassie Ibrahim and a bestie of actress Nadia Buari, who was also at the ceremony.

She’s also a trained lawyer who usually base in the UK. Reports have it that she also has some connections to the NDC and former President, John Dramani Mahama.

However, the couple after getting married last Saturday, were in church for the first time as couple.

They visited the Dominion Chapel to thank God for seeing them through a successful marriage.

With both clad in an all white outfit, the couple looked lovely and splendid. From their smiles alone, one could easily tell that they’re happy.

Meanwhile, it is not known if the couple would officially have a white wedding after the traditional ceremony.

However, looking at their plush traditional marriage, we’re sure their white wedding, if they decide to have one could as well be termed the Ghana ‘Royal Wedding’ of our time.
