Shatta Wale Recounts His Mother’s ‘Prophecy’ On His Career
Mothers’ Day is a special day chosen to honor motherhood and pay homage to the influence and contribution of mothers in building up a society. It is celebrated various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May.
In Ghana and some other parts of the globe, Mothers’ Day is usually on the second Sunday of May.
This year’s, however, fell on Sunday May 13, and was as usual, the celebration was massive.
As has become the norm, many celebrities made their ‘mamas’ feel special and adored.
Pictures of people and their mothers with heartwarming messages filled the various social media platforms.
Every celebrity celebrated their moms in their own very special way. For the self-acclaimed King of Dancehall, Shatta Wale, he couldn’t help but to recount his mother’s words concerning his career years ago.
According to him, his mother remains the number one woman in his life for giving him an opportunity in life.
The ‘Gringo’ crooner took to Facebook to share an inspiring message from his mom. He recounted an inspiring message from his mom concerning his career as far back as 2009. These words, according to him have come to pass.
He wrote;
I told you sometime ago in Lapaz that I always saw you with ur grey hair in your own house and saw 2 or 3 cars parked on your compound..Today you live in an estate with securities all around you ,you drive now like how I saw you when I was growing up ..You once told me in 2by4 studio in lapaz that was around 2009 which I still have the song with your voice in it that ,JUNIOR YOU WILL BE KNOWN FROM GHANA TO JAMAICA AND ALL OVER THE WORLD..Today I see signs of what you said and it’s happening..God bless you Mum ..Your stories I can’t say all but I want to tell today that I LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME AN OPPORTUNITY IN THIS LIFE..YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY NUMBER 1 WOMAN !!
