Ghanaian actress, Bibi Bright outdoors her second baby. Moreover, she recently gave birth to a bouncy baby girl after she tied the knot to Akwasi Boateng July last year. She revealed her child to the world in a beautiful photoshoot.

Furthermore, there were several rumors of the actress’ delivery. However, fellow actress, Selly Galley, officially confirmed the reports by sending a congratulatory message to Bibi on Instagram.

Taking to Instagram to share a photo of Bibi, Selly wrote:

“Our target is six girls four boys. One more down!. Congratulations my friend. Another naming ceremony to chew khebabs and dance to Gbang gbai @bibibright Thank God for safe delivery of another beautiful baby girl and for your life. You ’re blessed!blessed! blessed! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Moreover, fellow signee on Zylofon Media Becca recently welcomed a baby girl too.

Multiple award winning reggae/dancehall and afrobeats artiste, Stonebwoy has a concert. Moreover, he headlines the maiden edition of Independence Concert. Labadi Beach Hotel and Burniton Music Group are the organizers of the concert. They made this announcement at a press launch at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

The Independence concert is on 5th March at the Labadi Beach Hotel. Furthermore, it forms part of Labadi Beach Hotel’s Entertainment offering to its patrons and the general public. Also, it is part of the Year of Return and Ghana’s 62nd Independence anniversary.

The event starts at 6:00pm prompt till midnight and features other acts such as the Bhim Band, sensational Afrobeats artiste, Kelvynboy, fast rising artiste, OV (winner of MTN Hitmaker 2018) and DJ Justice, all of the Burniton Music Group, a record label owned by Stonebwoy.

Speaking at the launch, Stonebwoy expressed his enthusiasm in being the first ever artiste to headline the event. He also hinted that the date of the event is also his birthday, as well, the Independence Concert will be his first ever concert in 2019. He therefore called on the Bhim Natives and Ghanaians at large to show up in their numbers to show support and have time.

‘The Burial of Kojo’ get a wide international release. American company, Array Now acquired the rights for ‘The Burial of Kojo. Moreover, this was in its quest to spotlight underrepresented voices and stories by people of colour and women. The movie is from Ghanaian musical artist and filmmaker Samuel “Blitz” Bazawule.

‘The Burial of Kojo’ debuts on Netflix March 31. Furthermore, this is in tandem with a national screening tour. Array Releasing’s boss, Ava DuVernay announced this.

The Burial of Kojo is an official selection of the 2019 Pan African Film Festival and the 2018 Urbanworld Film Festival Best Narrative Feature Winner. Marking his feature debut, Bazawule tells the story of two brothers through the eyes of a gifted girl who travels beautiful lands that exist between life and death.

Moreover, Blitz uses stunning vision of the familial narrative through the lens of magical realism and Afrofuturism.

Multiple award-winning actress, Lydia Forson talks about the National Cathedral. According to her, she is still in shock over the building of the National Cathedral of Ghana.

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo commissioned the National Cathedral of Ghana. The Cathedral is a planned interdenominational Christian cathedral. It was part of Ghana’s 60th-anniversary celebrations.

Furthermore, the construction attracted criticisms and received backlash from a section of Ghanaians. These people believe the funds for the National Cathedral could be used for something important.

One person who in disagrees with the National Cathedral is actress Lydia Forson.

According to her, the funds for the National Cathedral could be invested in healthcare and infrastructure.

Therefore, she took to Twitter to talk about it:

“I can’t get over the fact that we’re building a CATHEDRAL, even if sponsored ( allegedly) there are people who’d rather invest money in a place of worship that people can live WITHOUT than hospital beds and healthcare that people NEED to live.

Former highlife artiste, Evangelist Papa Shee talks about lifestyles of women. Moreover, he condemned people who undergo plastic surgery. According to him, they won’t make it to heaven.

Papa Shee made these statements in an interview on Neat FM. He stated emphatically that any person who changes the shape or colour of his/her body will end up in hell. This is because they don’t appreciate the creation of God.

Also, he stated that the devil is very crafty. Therefore, he whispers into the ears of people to go for plastic surgery because their bodies have deformed.

According to him, the evil spirit that leads people to alter their body is called the “spirit of Jezebel”.

“The enemy is very crafty anyways. The old serpent is very crafty . . . We have a spirit called spirit of Jezebel. That woman had a demonic spirit. It doesn’t make you appreciate what you have”

Furthermore, he spoke against women who apply make-up or cosmetics to their face to appear prettier asserting that they are all against God and will face the judgment of God.

Papa Shee advised people to appreciate themselves.

“when you have a self-confidence that God dwells in you and you are the image of God, you don’t concern yourself with people’s perceptions. If you don’t take care, people will push you for you to do something . . . Don’t listen to people. Listen to God. God delights in us in heaven, so don’t allow anybody to push you”.

Winner of MTN Hitmaker Season 7, OV talks about Stonebwoy. Moreover, she revealed that she enjoys working with dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy. This is because he is honest and upfront with her. She made these statements in an interview on Hitz FM>

“It’s fun working with this man [Stonebwoy]… he is down to earth, I have never met anybody like him before, he will let you know this is what you should do and this is what you should not do, he will tell you the truth, he will be honest with you, he is raw like that, he is very plain” 

Furthermore, according to her, Stonebwoy is knowledgeable when it comes to music. Therefore, she does not take anything to heart if he scolds her in terms of music.

“He is a big person, he is very knowledgeable and so if he tells me stuffs like that, I will really need to learn hard. I remember I was doing a particular song with him, it wasn’t ‘Want Me’ but a particular song and I remember my verse, I got a few melodies I had to fix certain lyrics in it and he was like, ‘what you said here, does it make sense …?”

Also, she stated that she appreciates what he does.

“If he tells me that I’m not good enough, it means I have to work hard because if I’m with him, I don’t think he will pick somebody who is not good enough…if he tells me that, it means I need to work hard. (or I might be sleeping)”

OV however, noted that one needs to put up his/her thinking caps to work with Stonebwoy.

The album is under the label of Francoba Management. Furthermore, the album of the award-winning gospel artiste has six songs on this album. The album titled ”W’agye Me”  translates in English as ”He has saved me”.

Kumawood actress and movie producer, Patricia Osei Boateng talks about her ordeals. According to her, she faced a lot of trials at Kuwait in faraway Asia. Moreover, this was because a deacon in her church deceive her. Therefore, he sold her into modern-day slavery some years ago.

She made these statements as a guest on the ‘Uncut’ show.

Patricia stated that the supposed deacon approached her. He claimed that nurses were in high demand in Kuwait. Therefore, he was willing to help her go and work there. She stated that as a nursing student at the time herself, she felt this was a great opportunity. However, unbeknownst to her, it was a complete scam.

The ‘Black’ movie actress and producer revealed that she when got to the country with the expectation of working in the health field. However, they told her she was now a maidservant. She described the working conditions in Kuwait as bad as hell in its figurative sense.

Furthermore, she stated that there were times she had to stand on her feet from morning till evening on an empty stomach. Also, she added that there were days she had to sleep at around 12 or 1 AM and wake up at exactly 5 AM.

The CEO of POB Multimedia further disclosed that because she couldn’t accommodate all these hardships again, she went to the deportation office and requested that they deported her back to her home country, Ghana.
