Joining Stonebwoy’s Record Label Gives Me Sleepless Nights – MTN Hitmaker Winner

Okailey Verse, the winner of MTN Hitmaker Season 7, popularly known in showbiz circles as OV, has revealed that the decision of Burniton music boss, Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy to sign her is one that is giving her a lot of sleepless nights.

According to OV, her signing onto the record label is a very big deal for her because any time she steps out now, people will always point hands at her and remark “is that not the Bhim girl going”.

The Reggae, Dancehall & Afropop musician was speaking in an interview on Zionfelix’ ‘Uncut’ Show.

Even though, she admits that the feeling is a great one, the sort of pressure it places on her to make sure she put out a lot of quality and good songs out there is one she considers a difficult one.

The ‘Want Me’ singer also added that she wholeheartedly appreciates Stonebwoy‘s decision to

sign her because now it has afforded her the pride of telling people the height she is gradually climbing.

When asked by Zionfelix on the lighter side if the signing has also brought guys and ladies along

her way, the budding musician laughed it off and gave a negative ‘No’ answer.

I Will Burn Anyone Who Burns My Child And Go To Jail – Okyeame Kwame

Rapper Okyeame Kwame has revealed that he won’t think twice about burning any human being who will burn his child.

According to the award-winning rapper, “no amount of forgiveness can stop me from hitting

this guy, burning him too and taking the law into my own hands.”

“I will burn him too,” Okyeame Kwame said in response to the question on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show last Friday.

That is not all. “I will get an axe and go down there and butcher him,” The rapper, born Kwame

Nsiah-Apau, (known largely as Okyeame Kwame),

Okyeame Kwame was reacting to a Joy News report on an 11-year-old boy who was doused with

petrol and set on fire for allegedly spying on a woman in a bathroom in the Upper East Region

of Ghana.

Ayinbiha Abelinkiira was, two years ago, accused of peeping through a bathroom, to see the

nakedness of a woman who was taking a bath – an offense he denies.

This story comes in the wake of a similar story in which a boy had his arm chopped off by his

step mum in the Central Region because he defecated in a farm.

Annica Nsiah-Apau, wife of Okyeame Kwame, who was visibly shaken by the ordeal of Ayinbiha

on the other hand admonished parents to discipline their children out of love, urging that the

purpose for discipline should be the benefit that it brings the child.

CHECK:https://www.ghafla.co.ke/gh/contents-on-tv-presently-awful-rama-brew/

“So anytime you have to punish a child you have to pause and think about it with the end benefit in mind. Why am I doing this, am I doing it so that the child gets it or I am doing it so that I inflict pain on the child? You must punish your child but pause and think of the impact on the child.,” she said.

Annica who was a co-panelist added that parents should emulate how God discipline’s his children.

“Even as parents when our children do something and we are about to punish them we have to pause because the Bible explains that you must punish a child when they do wrong but then anytime they spoke about punishment with God, they also added that he did it with love.”

I Hate February 8 Because Of My Daughter – Ebony’s Father

On Thursday, February 8, 2018, Ghanaians woke up to a sad news that dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns, had passed on.

The musician, whose rise to the top was meteoric and who generated controversy with her

fashion, statements and stagecraft, died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway after a visit to her mother.

Ebony took the music industry by storm in a short space of time.

In a little over a year, she claimed the spotlight in a manner that some who had been around for years had not been able to.

She kept releasing hit after hit song like Kupe, Poison, Sponsor, Date Ur Fada, Hustle, and Maame Hwe.

CHECK:https://www.ghafla.co.ke/gh/i-dont-need-bullet-for-anything-starboy-kwarteng/

Her exploits in that time led to calls that she should win the topmost prize at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Artiste of the Year but sadly, Ebony did not live to see that happen and was awarded the plaque posthumously.

While the public was shaken about Ebony, real name Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng’s death, her

family, especially her father, Nana Poku Kwarteng, with whom she was very close, her mother

and siblings were more traumatised at losing such a light in their lives.

Showbiz recently spoke Nana Poku Kwarteng about his feelings a year after he lost his beautiful

daughter who he affectionately called Ohemaa and he indicated February 8, has become a day he hates.

“I do not like that day and date at all, to me, I wish it didn’t even exist. That is the day that tragic thing happened, my daughter, Ohemaa lost her life and it’s just sad.

“Honestly, though ideally, we are supposed to celebrate her one year on that fateful day, I do not see anything about it that is worth celebrating and it is not written anywhere that we have to do it on that same day,” he said.

Typically, death anniversaries are commemorated so in keeping with that tradition, Nana Kwarteng said he will do something in his daughter’s memory.

“I will do what custom says, on Friday I will pray and wish her a good rest wherever she is and all that, on the quiet and that is it. The real thing will happen on March, 31. That is when we will roll out something for the public consumption.”

Before her death, Ebony’s father had pledged his undying support for anything his daughter did

in an earlier interview with Showbiz.

“I am supportive of anything my daughter does and anything she wears. I am not ashamed as a father, the truth is that I choose what she wears and I bless her before she goes out to perform. Some Ghanaians are hypocrites and I am sorry but I am not one of them,” he said.

“My daughter is not a bad girl, she is very calm, loving and a respectful person. Whatever she does on stage ends there. She is a different person when she gets home.

“My girl as I usually call her is close to my heart. We are so close that I gave her the go-ahead when she told me she wanted to do music,” he added.

Ebony Reigns’ maiden music video, Dancefloor released in 2015, did not receive much play, but

by 2017, the “’90s bad gal” was the queen of Ghana music.

She released hit after hit, topping all the charts and headlining many shows.
