Gospel musician, Gifty Osei pens a love letter to soon to be husband NPP’s Hopeson Adorye. Moreover, she took to her Instagram handle to celebrate her ‘man’ since it is his birthday.

Gifty Osei reveals in her sweet ‘love letter’ to Hopeson how she had through her adult life always wished to be saved by him, her ‘Prince’. Also, she discloses how she has decided to allow Hopeson to rule her castle very soon.

“When I was little, all I wanted was for a prince to come and save me. Now that I am older I am so pleased that I engaged a King who gave me the Hope I have longed for . This year for your birthday I have decided to let you rule the castle soon. Or at least present a Gift of Hope for eternity. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! My Darling with a Generous Heart! …Mr Hopeson Adorye ?????????” 

Somewhere in 2017, Gifty Osei and her husband Prophet Prince Elisha Osei ended their over ten-year marriage due to reasons best known to them.

Also, Hopeson Adorye lost his wife to death in the same year, under some sad circumstances.

Actress, Maame Serwaa talks about her interests. She spoke about her crush in the entertainment industry. She spoke about this in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM. Moreover, she stated that her own male crush in the industry is award-winning gospel musician, Joe Mettle.

When the host asked the question, she declined to answer it. However, upon a little push by Nana Romeo, she finally made the bold disclosure that her crush is the sensational gospel musician.

“He is a musician… I don’t want to talk about it… but my crush is Joe Mettle, I like his songs so much… “ 

Maame Serwaa is popular for the many adult roles she plays in many of the Kumawood movies. She was recently awarded a full learning scholarship and brand ambassador deal with Knutsford University in Accra.

Kumawood actor, Salinko talks about the movie industry. According to him, telenovelas aren’t the reason for the decline in patronage of the local movie industry.

Moreover, according to him there are real issues that contributed to the decline in popularity of local movie industry. They include lack of innovation, backbiting in the industry, neglect of veteran actors among others.

He made these statements on UTV’s McBrown’s Kitchen. Therefore, he rejected claims that countless telenovelas showing on different TV stations have caused the crisis in the industry.

“Telenovela’s can never collapse the local movie industry. The fundamental issue here is that, times change, and the industry must change to catch up. Directors must begin to explore more creative ways of presenting their works to the public. With regard to distribution, movies used to be sold on cassettes, before CDs and DVD’s were introduced, now the fun is all happening on the internet. That is where we must be heading to after fine-tuning our movies” 

Salinko also added that one key reason why the industry took a nosedive is because of backbiting in the industry.

“We need a united industry, if we want to go far. The trend of turning down an offer to star in a movie because person A or person B is on board is killing the industry. Let’s unite and reinvent ourselves and we can bounce back” 

S Concert announces its first set of performers for the 2018 concert.

Moreover, Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Kuami Eugene and Kidi headline this year’s edition of the concert.

Other artists on the bill include Darko Vibes, Victor AD, Yaa Pono, Ras Kuuku, Praye, Kelvynbwoy, Fancy Gadam, Maccasio, Kofi Kinaata and Jupiter.

The concert is at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 7, 2018.

Starr FM organizes the annual event since 2014. The concert is Ghana’s celebration of its mainstream and budding artists.

It attracts tens of thousands of patrons every year.

Ghanaian comedian, DKB talks about news reports. Last year, a journalist wrote an article whereby she said he bored the First Lady. Moreover, the King of GH Comedy revealed the losses he suffered over a reportage about his stage craft

A year on, DKB further shares the extent of loss he suffered as a result of that reportage. In his own words, he stated:

DKB about his comedy career

“It’s a shame somebody’s hatred for me will make her use this great woman’s influence to destroy my career. She is 1st of all a mum, first lady and a leader. Therefore, why will she come out to say “DKB is a boring comedian” just to destroy me? How come that so called interview never came out?

“It’s just pure envy, jealousy and evil that would make that Graphic Showbiz writer do that. She succeeded in destroying my career for a while. However, the God I serve doesn’t get defeated, he has turned my afflictions into jubilations.

“Graphic showbiz should put this positive story “DKB delights Nana Konadu” on 75% of their Thursday edition front page like they did with the negative one but they won’t bcos it’s good news about DKB & it won’t sell, “so let’s continue to tarnish his image”.

“I forgive her for making me lose many shows, endorsement contracts and countless gigs from her story leaving me broke & frustrated. It’s just cos I’m tough, her story made me want to give up on this comedy career and use my BSc. Agric certificate.

“The only wrong I did was to become a comedian to entertain my own people but I’m always treated like an enemy of the state and bad mouthed, even our armed robbers aren’t treated this way. When will this PhD from fellow Ghanaians stop so we can all push each other to be great?

“The only question I have for her is, “if I were your brother would you do that to me”? Glory to Jesus now I’m ambassador for Huawei, CompuGhana and Soccabet so join me let’s do cheers to victory over wickedness as you admire my 42 teeth in the picture.”

Ghanaian movie, AZALI won the Best Feature Film at the 2018 Africa International Film Festival. The film festival was at Lagos, Nigeria.

Moreover, the movie is in Dagbani, Twi and English. The movie exposes the dangers of Child labour, child abuse, streetism and child marriage across Africa.

The director of the epic Movie, Kwabena Gyansah won the Best Screenplay award. Also, Amina (Asana Alhassan), the lead character was Best Actress.

The movie further feature some Stars like Adjetey Anang, Akorfa Edjeani, Ama K. Abebrese, Peter Ritchie, Mohammed Hafiz, Emmanuel Nii Quaye among others.

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie gets more accolades. He won the nod for Best African Male Artist of the Year at Nigeria Entertainment Awards 2018.

The 13th edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards were at the University of the District of Columbia Theater of the Arts in Washington, DC. Charles Okocha aka Igwe Tupac hosted the award show. Moreover, the show featured top African and Caribbean stars.

Davido and Tiwa Savage were the big winners of the night. They took home Afropop Male and Female Artists of the year respectively. Other highlights of the show saw Tunde Ednut winning the humanitarian award. Also, Gbenga Solitude won entertainment pioneer award and Harry Baba winning the community activist award.

Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene talks about his struggle to breakthrough. According to him, some industry players told him he would never make it as a musician because he had no talent.

Moreover, according to the “Angela” hit maker, he almost gave up the dream of becoming a musician. This was until he met with Lynx Entertainment who believed in his talent and signed him on.

Even though he wouldn’t mention names, he revealed that some industry players told him that to his face:

“I don’t want to mention names but I went to a good number of radio presenters and record label management for help but I was told in the face that I can’t make it because I don’t have any talent” 

Kuami Eugene also had a few words for his fans and supporters who made it to the album listening:

“I wouldn’t have been where I am without you. Thank you very much for the support shown me over the years. I will forever be grateful to you” 

Ghanaian songstress, Adina talks about her inspirations. She spoke about this in a recent interview on GH One TV. . According to her, Beyonce is her idol. Moreover, Adina finds Beyonce’s hard work and success “admirable”.

“Beyonce is like an idol to me. Beyonce works so hard and achieves everything she gets, Everywhere she’s got to, i believe she works for it and that’s really admirable to me.”

Also, she spoke about people talking about the fact that she has been in the shadows for too long

“I’m on my way and I’m not there yet. For a lot of people will ask me, so yeah what are you doing and I tell them we have a plan and I always knew I had to trust my process”.

“There’s one thing my manager always advise that there’s no way you should be excited about success if it’s not by merit and that is one thing that has kept me in check”.

“If the time is right it would come to me and that is my attitude and reaction when people ask me. If people think I’ve reached, I haven’t. There’s so much to do, more dedications, sacrifices and I’m ready to do it.”

Nigerian artist, Mr Eazi talks about musician, Patapaa. According to him, Patapeezy deserves an award for his verse on Eazi’s hit song ‘Akwaaba’. Akwaaba is Mr Eazi’s song that featured Pappy Kojo and Pataapa.

He made these statements in an interview on Citi FM.

“any award show that has a category on verse of the year and fails to give it to Patapaa is not credible”.

Moreover, he believes the verse was one of a kind even though people did not have any idea what it meant.

He also added that the “Akwaaba” song has at least 30 million streams so far.

Eazi also revealed that a dream collaborator he wishes to work with is Rihanna. He is in contact with her team and he hopes something good will come out of it.

Mr. Eazi is currently promoting his “Lagos to London” Mixtape which is already doing so well on music charts.
