Chymny Crane Lashes Sarkodie With A Diss Song Dubbed ‘Advice Yourself’

An up and coming artiste, Chymny Crane has waded into the current Sarkodie and Shatta Wale diss song fight.

Although Shatta Wale has revealed that he is not going to reply Sarkodie, it seems Chymny Crane has done him the honor of doing that.

The young artiste, perhaps thinking this could be his best way to shine has replied the SarkCess Music boss’ diss at the SM boss.

He titles the song  ‘advice yourself’in which he claims Sarkodie should focus on

removing the log from his eyes before telling others to remove the stick on theirs.

Chymny Crane in his wild shots directed at the CEO of Sarkcess music further claimed

that Sarkodie signed Strongman to kill his career because he knew he can rap better than him.

Riding on the same beat Sarkodie used in his ‘advice’, Chymny continues to chide that,

Sarkodie once referred to ‘Irish Cream’ as a food ingredient and even lied been

signed by Akon’s Konvict some years ago.

The rapper in his lyrics didn’t understand why Sarkodie decided to face Shatta Wale,

who is a dancehall artiste and should have rather faced another rapper.

He added, Sarkodie has been riding on Jay Z and translating Kanye West’s lyrics to brag.

“You should thank Mugeez for dropping the banging chorus he dropped give you on baby” He rapped.

Shatta Wale Explains Why He Won’t Reply Sarkodie’s ‘Advice’ Diss Song

Controversial Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has finally explained why he has still not yet replied Sarkodie’s diss song.

Many people have been expecting the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker to reply Sarkodie with his own diss song.

However, Shatta has been mute since the release of the song a few days ago. Something which is very unusual of the self-acclaimed-dancehall king.

He has however finally explained why he has still not and will not reply the ‘Highest’ album maker.

According to him, the track itself released by Sarkodie proves he is indeed poor.

Speaking in an interview on Zylofon FM with Sammy Flex, Shatta reassured that he’s never going to reply Sarkodie.

In his veiw, Sarkodie himself has proving to be poor by responding with a diss song.

Read:https://www.ghafla.co.ke/gh/first-copy-of-reign-album-auctioned-for-ghc150000/

He explained that it will have been better for the Sarkcess boss to flaunt his wealth to prove his wealthiness rather than recording a diss song as he(Shatta) claims he’s poor.

Shatta Wale added that in his own observation, rich people don’t speak to insult but show their wealth as an insult and was expecting the same action from Sarkodie.

On his main reason for making steps on Sarkodie, the SM boss replied with a clear explanation of his actions.

He stated that he was hungry looking for ‘beef’ at that time but now he’s satisfied so

he doesn’t plan on going in for any more beefs.

Shatta Wale concluded by surveying himself to be more experience in the ‘beefing’ realm than Sarkodie as he gave an explanation.

His fans have since been happy about the whole proposal thing though a few Ghanaians maintain they can only believe Shatta can settle down after he has officially wedded Michy.

Perhaps, even Michy, born Michelle Diamond Gboganah also doesn’t believe his man can settle down after their recent brawl.

Speaking about the proposal, Shatta Wale said his baby mama quizzed him if it was for real.

“When man is ready to do something you need to do it. People kept asking and I did it. When I first proposed to her in Nima people did not see that so I decided to do that in front of everybody to show how I adore her. Some might not believe it still because a day after the proposal happened, Michy asked if it was for real.” he said.

Shatta also revealed he proposed with a promise gold ring with diamond stud.

Michy reacting to the revelation stated;

“I’m feminine and a gangster at the same time. In the moment, I reacted like every girl would do but later my gangster side kicked in and I had to call him and cross check if it was true.”

His “Baya” album is regarded as one of the best burger highlife album in history.

The pictures have since caused a stir on social media.

Many social media users have since wagged about the photos.

According to them, they couldn’t fathom why the ace musician will do that.

This however led Mr Brako to later disclose the intent behind the controversial photos.

"Seems some people have not followed the sequence of events that led to me posting a picture of me and my wife in an intimate pose. First I posted a beautiful picture of my wife in a classy traditional pose. Somebody suggested that I was like exploiting the feminism of my wife and that I should post a shot of myself in a similar setting.

I obliged only because I wanted it known that I'm comfortable in myself to project images that reflect my heritage in a tasty setting.

Let me be clear. In an era where we're so mixed up in our mentality that we accept English as our national language, where our national anthem is an English song with English lyrics,

where our people are obliged to dress like foreigners to work and play, it is important that someone stands up to declare that our heritage and culture have an important place in our national discourse and should have the pride of place in our lives. This I'm doing in my own unobtrusive way which I'm very comfortable with.

If even one young person gets inspired by this it would have been worthwhile. I have always loved natural poses a la Baya album photo. I as an African man of Ghanaian descent am portraying myself in a way I'm comfortable and happy with.

If you are not happy with that, fine. Don't go take a flying jump, but if you did I would not stop you".

Gabby Otchere-Darko Spoke The Truth; Leave Him Alone – Leila Djansi

Ghanaian filmmaker, Leila Djansi adds her voice to the discussion about the movie industry. According to her, she agrees with the words of Gabby Otchere Darko. She took to Facebook to justify her stance and defend Gabby.

Leila Djansi on Ghanaian filmmakers and Gabby Otchere Darko

My dear filmmakers in Ghana. Leave this politician guy alone! What he said about the industry is the truth. I don’t see why there’s so much deflection and insult for him. He pretty much said Ghanaian films have no soul and he is RIGHT. Watching Ghanaian films is like talking to a lover who has dark glasses over his eyes. No connection. The first arguments you all made was that there is no government support. Which government supported any film industry?

Industries that have government support got it because of the impact they made on the countries economy. How much impact have Ghanaian films made on the economy? How honest are the players? There is so much rancor and treachery within the ranks. Nothing government can do about that! Whenever you ask a middle-aged Ghanaian for his favorite Ghanaian film, they usually mention “I told you So”. So, I traced the film and watched it and I asked myself, really? Why? Because it’s funny? YES. Because it’s funny. Right, we can’t be serious in any aspect, huh? Everything must be fun.

More on her post

Step back. Have comedies ever, ever been nominated for Oscars? Let’s use the Oscars as a yardstick. Action films? No. Because these genres are not necessarily “real”. They don’t tell of the HUMAN CONDITION. THE HUMAN HEART. THE HERO’S JOURNEY. You fell in love with old Nollywood because of the CHARACTERS it created. The evil in-law, the blood money guy. It fed your superstition. You looked out for people like that in your day to day life.

Grace Omaboe got her name, Maame Dokuno from a character she played. Kweku Ananse is famous because of his character. This is all Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko is trying to say. He watched 10 Ghanaian films and he had no reason to root for any person. His core wasn’t stirred. Instead of being so defensive and making up arguments, how about you listen? My favorite films from Ghana are two. Kukurantuni, The road to Accra and Love Brewed In an African Pot.

I didn’t laugh, I didn’t care for picture quality and I wasn’t saying it to please the filmmakers. I like these films because I can’t and have never forgotten the soul, decisions, and actions of the characters that led the story to where it went! Character driven plots. A man returns from work and discovers his daughter was raped. He picks up a machete and steps out of the house into the rain. —Here is our hero. Now, let his actions and choices direct the course of the story HONESTLY. Don’t write what you like. Write his actions and the effect of his actions, remembering that every character in your plot has free will and makes decisions too. Conflict. Who wins? Resolution.

More of her words

That’s all Gabby is trying to say. The films need human conditions and characters we can root for. So, now that we’ve settled that, name one Ghanaian film that exposed the human condition and had a character(s) you cannot forget? Finally, the media space also needs discipline. Bloggers and journalists. You need integrity and ethics. Don’t receive payment from folks in order to write articles that favor them. Write the truth. Is it good? Say it. Is it bad? Say it. Don’t be tied to anyone’s apron strings because you took money from them to say what they want. It breeds complacency. Our beautiful actresses. Enough makeup. It is enough. Your eyebrow doesn’t need to be on fleek all the time. Our actors, your choices as actors make or break a film.

When you get a script, forget the clothes, forget the premiere, forget how the audience will clap for you and search for a connection to the character you’re being asked to play. Research, practice, watch great actors. Many films have failed because viewers could not connect with the actors. Directors, including myself. Prepare. Find the soul of the story you’re telling before you get on set. You, the actors and the camera need to tell a seamless story. Surround yourself with GOOD PEOPLE. Crew, we know it’s a red camera. You don’t have to abandon your job to take pictures beside it.

Final words from Leila

If quiet on set is called, be quiet and give the actors and directors room to be inspired. Stop chit chatting on set! Do your work! Break down the script, be prepared for everything. Think outside the box. Let your department shine because your department is playing a key role in how the film comes out. The government, tax incentives? There’s vat. Use it! You’ll see a turn in the economy. We need to stop being so defensive and put our films on the litmus test! Remember, the story is KING! So, now that we’ve settled that, name one Ghanaian film that exposed the human condition and had a character you cannot forget?

We Were Cheated At 2013 Ghana Music Awards – Praye

Reunited music trio, Praye talk about past achievements. According to them, they were cheated at the 2013 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

They spoke about this in an interview with AJ Sarpong on Citi FM’s Brunch in the Citi. The hitmakers stated that it was obvious that they deserved the ultimate award after having more nominations.

“You said we have the Most Popular Song of the Year, you said we had the Album of the Year, we had the Afropop song of the Year. How can you have the Most Popular Song of the Year and not be the artiste who is everywhere. If you have the Most Popular Song it means everybody will bill you to perform. And you know what we do in stage, we dance, we sing. We were all over playing shows, then you deny us of the award.”

However, they noted that they understand it is not easy to put together awards and that voting patterns could also be the reason some awards elude ‘obvious winners.’

They said what gives them more satisfaction is the fact that their fans cherish what they do.

Also, they hinted of a comeback concert.

at Urbano Hotel in Osu, Accra.

He said whenever he reflects on his musical journey, his heart ‘brims with joy’ but it

also reminds him of the responsibilities he assumes.

“Undoubtedly, music is a powerful tool, and my music has constantly served as a great platform to share my story, and inspire fellow youth who nurse hopes of a better life. My name loosely translates as ‘redemption’ —and it is what I seek to demonstrate with my life.

Especially in an era where it is easy to lose our identity whiles navigating the globalisation question,

Edemfest was conceived as part of brand Edem’s Corporate Social Responsibility, as an avenue to remind ourselves of an illustrious heritage as a people, and a wakeup call for us to preserve the very culture that makes us unique,” he stated.

The maiden edition of Edemfest was however launched in 2017 and was held on the

Keta High Street, with the core aim of raising awareness on illegal fishing.

what happens when we take the duty of preserving our environment seriously.

This year’s event is expected to pull over 20,000 patrons — double of the number

we recorded last year.

We are confident that Edemfest 2018, aside reconnecting us to our heritage and

You Don’t Support Creative Arts; Why The High Expectation? – A Plus

Ghanaian musician, A Plus joins the debate on poor standards of local movies. This is after Gabby Otchere-Darko, a senior government official criticized the movie industry.

Furthermore, he suggested to Gabby to encourage the NPP to pay the deserved royalties to musicians anytime they play songs at campaign rallies. .

Moreover, he wondered why Mr Otchere-Darko would demand quality from a sector which does not get any support from governments including the ruling Akufo-Addo administration.

A Plus’ response to Gabby Otchere Darko

“Somebody should tell Gabby Otchere Darko that the only way creative arts will be part of Ghana beyond aid is when government seeks permission from copyright owners like the owner of this song and pay her before using it to promote a political agenda. You don’t support creative arts in any way yet you wonder why it’s below your expectation. You just take people’s song and use it.

“If government is doing this why won’t individuals do same? They will go and find her and give her some two thousand to say “Kwame A Plus is lying. They paid me before.” hahahahahahahahahahaha. Gospel artiste (Patience Nyarko) hoping to go to heaven can’t lie. ”

Big Artiste Like ‘Alumi’ Shouldn’t Beg For Endorsement Deals – Stonebwoy

The ‘beef’ is on as dancehall act, Stonebowy has advised his nemesis, who happens to

be a ‘big artiste’ to stop begging for endorsement deals on social media.

Stonebowy’s message is obviously directed at Shatta Wale who on October 2018 took to Twitter

to urge Nigeria’s Multinational Telecommunication Network, Glo, to sign him on a deal

to perform at this year’s GLO fest.

Read:https://www.ghafla.co.ke/gh/shatta-wale-and-efya-hint-of-a-collaboration/

“Glo said I wasn’t worth the money; I asked them to pay me $120,00 but I hope they get a change of mind to sign me otherwise nothing like Glo SIM card in any Shatta Movement phones.” Shatta Tweeted yesterday.

An Instagram page with the user name ‘Stonebowynews’ counter attacked this message

in a post which reads;

“After winning the 2015 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards’ Best International Act: Africa award, Stonebwoy was approached by GLO but he rejected the $80,000 offer.

“If you add value to your life, great deals will chase you. You won’t use Twitter to beg Glo for offers like ‘Alumi’ did yesterday,

A Big artiste like ‘Alumi’ shouldn’t be begging for endorsement deals on social media. Stop comparing a ‘jama’ singer to a musician.
