Mercury spoke about this allegations with Zionfelix on Radio Univers. According to him, he never in any way told Amanda Jissih that she will not win the female DJ radio presenter of the year because they both work at Multimedia.

Moreover, he explained that the awards scheme does not dash out plaques to people who do not deserve it. Therefore, he cannot fathom why she accused him of that.

Also, he mentioned that he is not part of the board that nominates and select the winners for the annual awards.

The Hitz FM drivetime host continued to say that most of his colleagues at Multimedia have Ghana DJ Awards plaques. Therefore, why would Amanda be denied of the award if she indeed deserved it the very year she was nominated for female radio DJ of the year.

“I won’t say friends, you know when we say friends we shouldn’t underestimate the word friends so we might not use that to explain the type of relationship that I have…,”

Moreover, he described colleague singer Samini whom many see as his close pal, as a brother.

“I mean if we are talking about ‘friend-friend’, Samini is my big brother as I see it so and then”

According to him, he has no one in the industry that he speaks to constantly and even picks moves with.

“It’s not really necessary, it all depends on the heart…because sometimes we don’t talk for a long time, we don’t see each other but what’s in the heart remains if it’s for peace, [if] it’s for love we all know…,”

Zylofon Doesn’t Hate Stonebwoy – Bulldog

Artiste Manager and Head of Zylofon Music, Bulldog has refuted reports suggesting

that the entertainment outfit hates its signee, Stonebowy.

According to Bulldog, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, the dancehall artiste may have

personal issues with some people on the music label but that does not imply Zylofon Music

does not like him.

Bulldog was reacting to revelations by Artiste Manager and Entertainment critic, Mr Logic on

Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that R. Kelly and Teddy Riley had sent messages that they wanted

to collaborate with Stonebwoy, who is signed to Zylofon Music.

Mr Logic disclosed that Willie Roi, who is Artiste & Repertoire (A&R) Manager at

Zylofon Music, refused to pass on that information to Stonebwoy and his management.

Some industry persons and the general public have criticized Willie Roi and Zylofon Music for

the development. Some have even concluded that it shows the clear hatred some persons have

for the dancehall artiste.

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy’s time at Zylofon Music hasn’t been without drama.

In March this year, there was a nasty incident at the Champs Bar at Paloma which led to

Stonebwoy firing a warning shot after reports suggested that Bulldog allegedly tried to

seize the dancehall act’s car keys.

Read:https://www.ghafla.co.ke/gh/9990-8/

Stonebowy has also indicated in a recent interview that he has no plans of renewing the Zylofon Music contract he signed in June 2017.

This according to the ‘Bawasaba’ crooner is because all is not well at the label but Bulldog maintained there is no problem at the label.

“What you might think [is] a problem might not be a problem,” he said and added that, “let’s not make it like Zylofon hates Stonebwoy, Zylofon doesn’t.”

According to him, all issues between Stonebwoy and Zylofon Music “have been patched up.”

Bulldog stressed that “what Stonebwoy is saying now is more Willie Roi” and that, the Willie

Roi-Stonebwoy issue was way before Zylofon Music.

“Stonebwoy has the right to say that Willie Roi doesn’t like him,” he added.

Bulldog played a key role in the organization of Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ album launch

at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra on October 13.

After publicly declaring that he prevented Stonebwoy and Samini from performing at the

concert, because of security concerns, Bulldog interestingly revealed that he didn’t attend

Stonebwoy’s ‘Ashaiman to the World’ concert.

Still In Touch With God – Kuami Eugene

Singer, Kuami Eugene talks about his relationship with God. For a while, people stated that he abandoned his Gospel roots. Moreover, he did that to become a secular singer.

However, he states that the rumours are untrue. He made these statements to Showbiz.

“I have not lost touch with God and I can never lose touch with Him. I have a great connection with God. Moreover, I still sing in the house of God, I go to church every Sunday when I am in Ghana”

Also, he added that he does not worry when people make disparaging comments about him and his relationship with God.

“I am not really bothered when people say my relationship with God is strained. I know myself and I know the relationship I have with God. He is my number one.

“But I have come to understand that some people say things just to feel good about themselves and make others look bad.

“For me, the best thing is to wish each other well or if you have anything to say, just know the truth before you talk,” he said.

“I had to learn how to produce my works myself because the funds were just not there for me to pay a producer, work on my vocals, be trained by a choirmaster etc.

So now, it looks like I just became associated with music but I have worked behind the scenes for a long time, I have done my homework”
