Keep Calm Your Investments Are Safe ─ Menzgold

Menzgold assures the general public and cherished customers. They urge them to stay calm in a statement issued by the company’s management team.

According to the management, all rumors speculated on the media is untrue. This follows a letter from the Securities and Exchange Commission to stop operations.

Below is the official statement by the management of Menzgold

MENZGOLD IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS

“The Management of Menzgold Ghana finds it very unfortunate that a letter relating to business discussions between the organization and the Securities and Exchange Commission has found its way to the public.

Menzgold in the wake of the Bank of Ghana warning to the public to desist from doing business with the organization availed itself to all relevant State Institutions for various consultations and dialogues designed to arrive at a productive and sustainable resolution.

One of such organizations is the Securities and Exchange Commission with whom we have been hopeful of arriving at a cordial resolution to all matters if any, then we submit to its standards if we must.

This needless leak believed to be coming from the Securities and Exchange Commission is, to say the least, in very bad faith and distasteful; as it defeats our confidence in the body and an affront to cooperation. We totally condemn it!

As a law abiding organization, we have referred the matter to our lawyers and rest assured, the right action shall be taken.

We hereby assure all our cherished customers that neither Menzgold as a business entity nor any of its products has been shut down.

We urge for calm as we deal with this matter to its logical conclusion.
Your gold trades are very safe and business is proceeding as usual”.

Highlife Isn’t Ghanaian Music – Jupitar

Dancehall musician, Jupitar, claims Highlife music cannot under any circumstance be considered as Ghanaian music.

He made this assertion in an interview with Doreen Andoh on Joy FM. This came after wake of calls to support and promote original Ghanaian music.

The artist stated that he he supports the idea of greatly promoting Ghanaian music. However, he argues that Highlife music is largely composed in Akan with foreign instruments. Therefore, it cannot be considered as Ghana’s main indigenous music.

Jupitar talks about highlife and its origins

“Highlife is not Ghanaian music…Highlife music is Ashanti music.”

He stated that a genre of music played with foreign instruments and emanating from just one part of Ghana cannot be representative enough to be called Ghanaian music.

Also, he admitted his genre of music, Dancehall, cannot be considered as Ghanaian music as well. However, he argued that there are traditional music played with local instruments in other parts of Ghana that are more indigenous than Highlife.

“We have different tribes here in Ghana… Do you know we have Borborbor? So when you say Ghanaian music, it has to be a mixture of all of that.”

The Dancehall artiste also revealed that he is set to release an album which will be his first ever music album though he has recorded several singles.
