Sidelining Twi Speaking Pastors From State Events Demeaning – Kumchacha

Ghanaian Prophet, Prophet Kumchacha bemoans government’s action of sidelining pastors who speak vernacular during state functions.

Moreover, according to him, the failure of various governments to extend a hand of invitation is an act of discrimination.

He made these statements to Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Kasapa FM Friday. Also, he complained bitterly about the way and manner of their representation during state events.

Prophet Kumchacha on sidelining twi speaking pastors from national conversations

“Seriously it is disheartening to know that, those of us who use Twi as our main language to preach are seen as illiterate in the society, we have been sidelined by the state because during state functions, invitation is only extended to the English speaking pastors”

Also, he noted that during the President’s engagement with the clergy over the issue of the building of the national Cathedral, none of the Twi speaking pastors were there. The only exception was Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah because he’s an avid supporter of the President Akufo-Addo.

Therefore, he wants government to consider inviting pastors of his kind to partake in state functions . This is because their inability to speak or have command over the queens’ language does not connote them been unwise.

“We are not unwise because we can’t speak good English. We can perform state functions just as the others or even better.”

Stonebwoy And Shatta Wale Allegedly Meet To Squash Beef

Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale allegedly squash beef.

A lot of Ghanaians are over the constant back and forth between these two dancehall heavyweights. Recently, Stonebwoy went on radio and spoke his piece about Shatta. His rant came about because he stated that Shatta accused him of killing his mother.

However, it seems there is a ceasefire. This is because the two met to smoke the ‘peace pipe’.

Top event organizer and promoter, Papa Loggy necessitated this move by bringing the two together.

The two were in for the peace meeting at a location at East Legon Hills in Accra.

However, the BhimNation boss was unable to attend the meeting at the last hour due to an emergency that was beyond his control. Therefore, his manager, Blakk Cedi was present at the meeting to fully represent him.

This move will be greatly accepted and applauded by many Ghanaians.

The ‘war’ among this two great stars was recently sparked again after the whole Nigerian-Zylofon Media debacle.

“I Played A Role In ‘Killing’ Ghanaian Movies” ─ Socrates Sarfo

Socrates Sarfo contines to talk about the decline of Ghanaian movies. Also, he confessed that he played a role in the ‘killing’ of the movie industry.

Socrates Sarfo talks about his role in the decline of Ghanaian movies

“We have a film like ‘Ghost tears’ to GBC and they gave us an advert to advertise our new movie. Instead of going to pay for it, we thought it was cheaper for us, we were so smart that we are outsmarting the TV stations, so they will give us advert and give us money and advertise our new movies.

That was what we did and everybody jumped on it and what happened? The TV stations owning the films”

Also, he stated that at first producers were able to sell about 100,000 copies in the market. However, things have really changed as compared to the number of copies they sell these days.

We used to sell 100,000 copies in the market and today they are not able to sell 5,000 copies”

Ghanaian Comedians Are Boring – Event Factory Boss

Event Factory over the last four years hosted the Easter Comedy Show. The show featured a number of Ghanaian comedians. Boss, Nabil Alhassan believes they are not doing well enough to boost their craft.

According to Nabil, comedians like DKB, Khemical, Jacinta, Lekzy and Two Idiots performed on his show. However, most Ghanaian comedians don’t do research or work on new jokes making them boring. He made these statements to Showbiz.

Event Factory, Nabil Alhassan, on Ghanaian comedians

“Research is the key and that is why the Nigerians are always ahead of the Ghanaian comedians. They do a lot of research into current situations and make nice jokes a bout them.”

According to him, Ghanaian comedians are no match for Nigerian comedians. This is because they are far ahead of us.

“I know the Ghanaian comedians will be angry with me but that is the honest truth. There are more than 15 good comedians in Nigeria who will rock their audience on any day but that cannot be said of the Ghanaians.

“The likes of Bovi, Basketmouth, Gordons, Acapella, Buchi, Akpororo among others who have also been on my comedy shows will always get their act right because they take their craft seriously.”

Another thing Nabil complained about is inconsistency. This behavior ends the career of most of the Ghanaian comedians. He explained that they flopped just as many times as they killed it.

“An event organiser like me will not continuously book a comedian who is not consistent. You can never tell when that comedian will fail and I don’t want to put my work on the line.”

However, he stated that all is not lost and if the comedians can do their research well and learn more about their trade, they would be excellent.

“You need to put in your all when doing something because you can never tell who is watching. I personally link comedians to corporate organisations and those I have contacted did not disappoint me. A guy like Lekzy is not a bad comedian.”
