Nana Addo Has Failed His Campaign Promises On Creative Arts – Ola Michaels

Entertainment critic, Ola Michaels lambasts President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. This is over his failure to fulfill his campaign promises for the entertainment sector.

He made these statements while speaking on GH Entertainment. Moreover, the entertainment critic was a strong supporter of the previous Mahama administration. Therefore, he minced no words in describing Nana Addo as incompetent.

He wondered why the NPP failed in delivering on the one-region one theatre. This promise was in their manifesto.

He opined that, the NPP failed the creative arts despite the major promises they made in 2016. In 2016, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayokor Botchwey said except Accra, the remaining nine regional capitals will have their share of theatres.

Oboy Salinko Shows Off Beautiful Wife On 1st Wedding Anniversary(PHOTOS)

Kumawood actor, Abraham Davis, who is popularly known as Oboy Salinko has taken to social media to show off his very beautiful wife.

Salinko took to his official Instagram page to share photos of himself and his gorgeous wife.

He was clad in a blue suit with his wife in a charming gown with wide smiles.

I Did Not Call Kyeiwaa A ‘Dishwasher’ In My Interview – Nana Yaa Brefo

Adom TV’s morning show host, Nana Yaa Brefo talks about Kyeiwaa. She rubbishes reports circulating that she said that Kumawood actress, Rosemond Boateng is a dishwasher in the USA.

Last week, Nana Yaa Brefo revealed that the Kumawood actress was no longer acting. Therefore, she worked as a dishwasher.

She made these statements during a discussion with Kumawood actor, Papa Kumasi on the state of the Kumawood industry now.

Papa Kumawood stated that despite the challenges thinks are good. That was when Nana Yaa spoke about Kyeiwaa.

However, the host says she is a professional journalist endowed with ethics. Therefore, defaming people on mainstream media for news traffic cannot be part of her craft.

According to Nana Yaa, she cited an example using her current job in the USA for the interview.

Adomaa Drops First EP Off ‘Adomaa Vs Adomaa’, Announces Date For Concert

VGMA “Unsung” winner, Adomaa has dropped the first EP ahead of her ‘Adomaa Vs Adomaa’ album launch.

The fast rising artiste will rock the Alliance Française in Accra on Saturday, September 15 with the main concert.

The event, set for Saturday, September 15, at 7pm, is to officially outdoor her first project since 2016’s Afraba EP.

The rate is 30 Ghana Cedis for regular and 15 for AF students and cultural members.

Also on the bill for the evening, which is expected to be a memorable one are some of Ghana’s top artistes.

They include; Afrobeat and highlife star Kidi, two-time female vocalist of the year award winner Adina, Afro-soul sensation Mayaa, rap heavyweights Kojo Cue and Shaker with Fra as the carpet band.

Ghanaian Designer Aphia Sakyi Styles Janet Jackson For New Video Shoot

Ghanaian designer Aphia Sakyi  has made Ghana proud by styling legendary American superstar, Janet Jackson.

The American superstar’s necklace stood out in the costume for her ‘Made for Now’ short clip.

She did a short video clip which in remembrance of Michael Jackson on his birthday. Janet recreated a portion of his iconic music video ‘Remember The Time.’

The neck piece was by Ghana’s award winning jewelry designer, Aphia Sakyi.

The name of the necklace is ‘Yaa Asantewaa,’. The necklace is from her-soon-to-be-released Summer/Harmattan 2018 collection ’50 Shades Of Grey’ at Accra Fashion Week 2018 in October.

Magdalene Sakyi is a designer and artisan who has created our beautiful clutch bags under the brand name. Living in Labone, Accra, where she has a built her shop and hosts the AphiaSakyi School of Creative Designs.

She was born in Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo region but moved to Accra 7-8 years ago to take a Business administration program at Regent university college of science and technology. After the program she went into selling school uniforms (Friday wear). From watching the tailor who supplied her with the uniforms she was selling, she learned how to sew and she started sewing clothing items herself. A friend recommended that she’d take a course at a design school, which she also did to further develop her skills. At the school, Magdalene Sakyi was studying fashion design and a bit of bead making.

She later rented a shop where she was selling her own designs, and she kept expanding her range of products by learning how to make new items. She learned how to make bags, then beads and later moving on to slippers from various other artisans. By working as an apprentice she has kept on advancing her skills and added new areas of expertise to her repertoire.

Previously she was teaching design in a class room, during the weekends in the area of Nima in Accra. A few months back she acquired the work shop in Labone where she now gives her design classes. Magdalene Sakyi is the kind of person who enjoys taking on new challenges and who constantly keeps on moving. Her ambition for the future is to expand the school and to start selling her products on the internet.

Radio & TV Presenter Giovani Caleb Escapes Death In A Motor Accident

Popular radio and TV show host, Giovanni Caleb had an accident over the weekend. He escaped death when his black Toyota with 2016 registration number plate was in an accident.

However, the cause of the accident is unknown. The accident happened around Ayi Mensah here in Accra. After the accident, the EIB Network employee took to Facebook and thanked God for his life.

Also, Giovanni showed appreciation to the technicians of Citi FM who were returning from site and the police patrol team at the Ayi Mensah toll booth.

According to the drive-time host of Starr FM, the police could not believe that he was unhurt judging from the condition of his car.

Guru Calls On Vodafone Ghana To Sponsor His ‘Journey Of Judah’ Album Launch

Ghanaian artiste, Guru is set to release another masterpiece in the form of an album titled ‘Journey Of Judah”

The ‘Lapaz Toyato’ in a series of tweets has been keeping his fans updated on new development

of the album launch.

The date, which has so far been communicated by Guru for the launch is 29th September.

Although the time and venue are yet to be released, Guru says he wants the colors of the

launch to be all red and white.

In this regard, the ‘Problem’ crooner has called on the telecommunication network, Vodafone Ghana to come to his aid.

‘Shatta Wale Is Just Too Fake’ – Gemini Supports Kwaw Kese

Ghanaian artiste, Gemini has seconded rapper Kwaw Kese’s assertion that dancehall star, Shatta Wale is a hypocrite.

Kwaw Kese a few days ago in a tweet advised Shatta Wale to “stop the hypocrisy and be straight.”

According to the ‘ Katiboom’ crooner, Shatta wale always claims he preaches about unity among artistes but he goes back to insult them.

According to Shatta, Sarkodie never shot a music video for their ‘Megye Wo Girl’ banger even

We Should Focus On Marketing Ourselves Internationally – Joey B

Joey B speaks about the ongoing beef between Shatta Wale and Kwaw Kesse.

Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin speaks strongly against the beef emerging between two top Ghanaian musicians.

He made these statements in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM. He told the two artists that their public utterances against each other are unnecessary. Moreover, he asked them to put an end to it because it is not good for the growing Ghanaian music industry.

He asked Ghanaians to quench the fire that is emerging between the two musicians because they are “two highly inflammable materials which might end up on a wrong note.”

“Shatta is my father and Kwaw is also my father. However, I don’t think this thing is important. Right now we are at the moment where our industry is shaky and not stable so I think we should focus on how to build it internatonally for us not to go and stand somewhere for people to behave they don’t know us. The ‘Gringo’ hitmaker has been granting interview to the media ahead of his ‘Reign Album’ launch date.

TiC, Kuame Eugene Drop ‘Kwani Kwani’ Part 2(VIDEO)

Tic, formerly known as Tic Tac has released the part 2 of his 2003 hit song ‘Kwani Kwani’.

Featuring the new single is Lynx Entertainment artiste, Kuami Eugene.

According to Tic, he had promised not to remix any of his songs due to the successes they garnered when they were released in the early 2000’s.

But upon further deliberations, he saw the move as an opportunity to challenge himself on another level.

it was only right for him to remake ‘Kwani Kwani’ to challenge himself.

Former Supreme Court Justice V.C.R.A.C Crabbe Passes Away

Former Supreme Court Justice, Vincent Cyril Richard Arthur Charles Crabbe passed away

Justice V.C.R.A.C Crabbe died early Friday in a hospital in the capital.

He was 95.

About Supreme Court Justice VCRAC Crabbe

The former justice was a distinguished personality his entire career, holding several vastly prominent roles.

He served as a Supreme Court Justice as well as the first ever Ghanaian to chair the Electoral Commission. He received several international appointments including First Parliamentary Counsel and Constitutional Advisor to the Ugandan Government, Director of the Commonwealth Secretariat Scheme for Legislative draftsmen for the West African Region, Southern African Region, the Caribbean Region and a Professor of Legislative drafting at the Cave Hill Campus, Barbados, University of West Indies.

During the drafting of Ghana’s 1979 constitution and the review of the 1992 constitution, he played a key role.

Before his death he served as a Professor of Law at Mountcrest University College in Accra.

Movie producer, Shirley Frimpong-Manso retracts her comments on saying goodbye to the movie industry. She stated that those comments weren’t well thought off.

Earlier, the renowned movie producer revealed the frustrations in the movie industry. Therefore, she stated her decision to say good bye to movie production.

However, the CEO of Sparrow Production takes a U-Turn on her statement. In a conversation at the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards in Lagos, the producer revealed that her initial comment was made out of emotions.

Therefore, she called on government and stakeholders to take a cue from the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards and support the arts.

Nana Yaa Brefo Is A Disgrace To Journalism – KK Fosu

Ghanaian highlife singer, KK Fosu expresses his displeasure on his recent interview with Nana Yaa Brefo. He says that Nana Yaa is unprofessional.

The ‘’Sudwe’’ hitmaker said this in an interview on SVTV Africa.

Also, he added that Multimedia must pay key attention to that program and how it is hosted.

“I think Nana Yaa Brefo is not professional and has disgraced the media industry.

Even if, the nature of the show, is to always put people on the spot, it is still necessary that you allow the interviewee to answer his questions before you come in again”.

Actress and fast-rising entrepreneur, Fella Makafui shares photos of herself. The actress shows people that they can do anything they set their minds to.

For a while now, she received a lot of backlash from many social media users for a lot of reasons. One of them was the seven-bedroom she building for her mum.

The chief executive officer of Beauty by Fella products reopened her wine shop. This was after it was alleged her ex-boyfriend closed the first one down.

The actress debunked those allegations later. She explained she moved from the old place because of high rent.

Adina talks about female singers in Ghana.

Ghanaian-South African singer , Adina thembi Ndamse clarifies the notion that Ghanaian female artistes are not united .

She made these statements in an interview with Foster Romanus on e.TV Ghana on The Late Night Celebrity Show. She stated that there is only reason for such notion. This is because the female artistes in Ghana are less compared to the male artistes.

However, she added that Ghanaians recognize and promote just a few female artistes.
