Winners At The 2018 Exclusive Men Of The Year Africa Awards

Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards 2018 announced winners at a chic ceremony at the plush Kempinski Hotel, on Saturday.

Furthermore, among them was the ultimate winner Togbe Afede XIV. Also, others were Okyeame Kwame, Kuami Eugene, Stonebwoy, Isaac Dogboe, Daddy Lumba, and Dr Moses De-Gaulle Dogbatsey.

Moreover, in attendance were former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, MUSIGA boss Obour, boxing legend Prof Azumah Nelson, broadcaster Abeiku Santana, actresses Salma Mumin, Roseline Ngissah, and many others.

There were performances from Trigmatic, Daddy Lumba, Nigerian singer Simi and others.

Macho Rapper talks about his future aspirations.

Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Macho Rapper has words to the CEO of Menzgold Ghana, Nana Appiah Mensah. Furthermore, he says he wants a chance to work with NAM1 as his bodyguard.

The rapper made these statements in an interview on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda with Sammy Flex. Moreover, he disclosed that it has been his dream to physically lay down his life for the NAM1.

“I want to be NAM1’s bodyguard. I am very passionate about it because the security of my boss is very important.”

The rapper disclosed that aside from his plans of becoming a personal bodyguard to the business mogul, he will also continue dropping music to entertain his boss and his fans.

Former UN Secretary General-Kofi Annan Passes Away

Former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan passed away. Reportedly, he died in Switzerland in the early hours of Saturday.

He was 80 years.

Brief biography on Kofi Annan

Mr Atta Annan, born 8 April 1938, was a Ghanaian diplomat who served as the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations from January 1997 to December 2006. Moreover, Annan and the UN were the co-recipients of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize.

He is the founder and chairman of the Kofi Annan Foundation. Also, he is the chairman of The Elders, an international organization founded by Nelson Mandela.

Furthermore, the family of the late Secretary General released a statement confirming his death.

Also, according to the statement, he died peacefully surrounded by his wife and beautiful family.

Ebony’s Spirit Wants Revenge On Bullet – Ebony’s Father

The ‘war’ between the father of late Ebony Reigns and her manager, Bullet has taken a different path.

Nana Poku Kwarteng, and Bullet(Ricky Nana Agyemang) have been on each other’s throat since the untimely death of Ebony.

The father, has revealed during a recent interview as to why he has been on the later’s neck all this while.

According to him, he has nothing against Bullet but he believes it’s his late daughter’s spirit seeking revenge on Bullet.

Mr.Kwartend stated that, Bullet per the contract signed between them has been cheating Ebony

even before she died and he keeps doing it even in her death and Ebony Reigns spirit can’t it anymore.

The man claims Ebony’s spirit is vindicating his (Nana Opoku Kwarteng) claims against Bullet.

Explaining the contract between Bullet and Ebony, Nana Opoku Kwarteng revealed Bullet after

the agreed contract signed between him and her daughter verbally change the contract.

In the new contract, Bullet’s told Ebony that he has a partner called Midas Touch and every dime Ebony makes, 50% will go to Midas Touch.

Out of the remaining 50%, Bullet will take 60% and Ebony will take the remaining 40%.

This, he believes was a total cheat but because Ebony was desperate, she took the deal before telling him about it.

When he heard about it and confronted Bullet why he changed the contract he was a witness to and demanded the new contract, Bullet refused to give it out.

Even when his lawyer called Bullet and requested for it, Bullet never delivered it.

Now, in her death, Bullet keeps cheating her and Nana Opoku Kwarteng claims Ebony Reigns wants revenge.

He revealed he is a very forgetful person but he keeps remembering where he placed things that

will vindicate Ebony and something tells him his daughter is behind it.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng made these revelations in an interview with Abeiku Santana on his talk show, Atuu.

I Will Soon Become A Father – Patapaa

Swedru-Based artiste, Patapaa Amisty has hinted of becoming a father soon.

Patapaa waa recently reported to have put up a three-bedroom apartment in his hometown, Swedru in the Central region.

According to the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker, that is part of his preparations towards him giving birth soon.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News Patapaa said;

“In Accra, you would have to pay two or three-year rent advance, I have been able to build a three-bedroom house in my hometown, Swedru. Very soon I will have a child and he/she must have an abode”.

He noted that his biggest breakthrough on the continent has been the interview he granted to Joy News after the VGMA.

The ‘Pa2Pa’ leader was hence grateful that he showed Joy News that respect.

“It helped me a lot, initially I didn’t want to grant any interviews but out of respect for Joy News, I did,” he said.

No Need To Fight Over Dancehall King Title, I’m The Originator – Samini

Dancehall artiste, Samini has taken a subtle swipe at the self-acclaimed dancehall King, Shatta Wale.

According to Samini, he is not fighting anybody for the ‘Africa Dancehall King’ title because he is the originator of the term.

Samini was speaking during an interview with DJ Advicer on Happy FM‘s Ayekoo After Drive show.

The ‘My Own’ hitmaker was asked if he is fighting to be relevant in the industry as the African Dancehall king following the emergence of artistes like Stonebwoy, Epixode, Jupitar and Shatta Wale, who has on countless occasions branded himself as the best on the continent.

He however answered that;

“I’m a musician and dancehall is one of the things I do so when the kids want to flex their muscle, I just drop down the level to show them I’m still the boss.”

“I’ve never fought over dancehall king title because I brought the term African dancehall king but someone is claiming it today but he has to give credit where it is due.

Go listen to my African dancehall king track and you will realize it. My term in that song attracted people to claim that name upon themselves.”

“I’m not fighting with anyone over it because when you look at that genre, there were people doing way back before I came into the scene.

In our time there was Sonny Bally, Ronnie Coaches, Borax, Terry Bonchaka, the list is endless but the term African dancehall was originated by me.

“When I hear people bragging I laugh because I don’t need to make noise about that. I appreciate everything that I’ve done so far and If my fans are happy, I’m happy because I appreciate them a lot.”

Kumawood star and musician, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin is a new chief in Ashanti Region. Moreover, the people installed him as a chief in his home region.

Furthermore, he is the Nkosuohene of Duaponko, a town in the Afigya Kwabre East Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

The actor’s stool name is Nkosuohene Nana Nkansah.

The chief of Duaponko, Nana Akwesi Gyabaa, bestowed the stool on Lilwin for his contributions towards improving the lives of his townspeople.

After his enstoolment, the actor expressed his shock and awe at such an honour.

I Lived With 3 Snakes At Home – Diabolo Man

Veteran Ghanaian actor, Bob Smith Jr, popularly known as Diabolo man has revealed that he lived with three snakes under his roof.

He got the name Diabolo man from the movie the famous movie ‘Mama Mia’, which was a hit in the early 2000’s.

The name was synonymous with snakes. Many simply feared the man even in real life.

His antics in his movies and how he metamorphosed into a snake, made him famous in Ghana.

But the legendary actor has revealed that he did not only have encounters with snakes in movies. He actually lived with some at home.

The executive member of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), speaking in an

interview with Sammy Forson on the Cosmopolitan Mix Joy FM, revealed that, he lived with

three snakes at home.

“I used to have three snakes in my house. I learnt about snakes. I don’t fear snakes,” he stated.

Asked about the history behind the famous snake movies, Bob Smith Jr. recounted that he,

together with a producer called William Akuffo, came together to produce ‘Diabolo’.

He said ‘Diabolo’ was based on the experiences of Ghanaians who traveled to seek greener

pastures in countries like Nigeria.

According to him, they produced the movie based on the horrifying stories some of the females

who engaged in prostitution shared.

In a recent interview, he ‘revealed that he has now purchased a building in Swedru as he prepares to become a daddy.

Takoradi-based artiste, Nero X, real name has said that he is set to release his first album.

He made this known during some interviews on several radio stations in the region.

The ‘Osey’ hitmaker also posted this good news on his timeline on facebook to alert his fans.

Nero X, real name Nana Kwame Nkrumah Buabeng revealed that the album is titled ‘The Grace Album’.

According to him, the album is made up of new songs, remixed old songs and some refixed old songs of  some highlife legends.

He however mention of Ck Mann, Papa Yankson and others as some of the Highlife legends.

Ghanaian Footballer, Kevin Prince Boateng Releases First Music Video Under The Stage Name Prin$$

Kevin-Prince takes another career path.

Ghanaian international forward, Kevin-Prince Boateng ventures into the world of music. However, he is still playing football actively. He released his first rap video titled “King”.

Currently, Boateng plays for Italian Serie A side Sassuolo where he signed a two-year deal this summer. He released the single ‘King’ under the stage name PRIN$$,

The chorus of the song features Boateng declaring “I live my life like a king/living with no pressure/hustle like I don’t know better”.

Moreover, the former AC Milan star is not the first Serie A star to make the move into music. Dani Osvaldo left football to pursue his passion for rock music.

Kevin-Prince Boateng has not played for Ghana since he was suspended from the Black Stars camp during the 2014 World Cup and recently took a swipe at the Ghana FA after the Anas expose.

A Plus wades into the fight between Bullet and Nana Opoku Kwarteng. Moreover, over the week, Ebony’s father waged a war against Bullet over monies earned from his late daughter’s tribute concert. However, people expose him as nothing more than a money hungry man.

Furthermore, Bullet listed numerous times that he handed him money he was not entitled to without gratitude. Also, according to A Plus, he abandoned his daughter at a very crucial point in her life.

Reacting to the trending news of Ebony’s father and Bullet’s feud, A Plus took to Facebook to reveal that at a point in her life Ebony was hustling without any help from Daddy. However, after Bullet made her famous he’s now back to claim all credit and money.
