Tracy Sarkcess’ 10-Year Wait Shouldn’t Be The Standard For All Women – Chantelle Asante

The love story of rapper Sarkodie and his wife, Tracy Sarkcess has been one inspiring story most fans of the artiste love to dwell on.

Most people believe that Sarkodie did well by marrying Tracy with whom he has been in a relationship with for over a decade, even before coming into limelight.

However, TV producer and co-host of Celebrity Fanzone on GH One TV, Chantelle Asante has also shared her views about the love story of the newly wedded couple.

Chantelle believes that the 10-year period it took for Sarkodie to marry Tracy Sarkcess shouldn’t be the new standard for every woman in Ghana.

Her comments follows some ridicules on social media after Sarkodie’s marriage ceremony last week.

Many seem to ridicule impatient women who wanted to marry after few months of dating pointing to Tracy Sarkcess’ patience in waiting for 10 years.

“I don’t know her age but I think she is under 30. Not everybody wants to get married early. Maybe she was in no rush to get married. I know she went to school abroad so she left for a while. They could have broken up at a point in time, we didn’t know whether they were on and off,” Chantelle argued.

Meanwhile, according to sources, the beautiful TV presenter; Chantelle Asante will be getting married this weekend in a private ceremony.

Sarkodie, real name Michael Owusu Addo, got married to Tracy in a traditional ceremony on Tuesday July 17,2018 at a private event in Tema.

The couple has been together for a long time now and is blessed with a 2-year-old baby girl called Titi.

“When I finished writing the song, the only person that came in my mind was Sarkodie. I had two songs to do with Sarkodie. The one that I wanted to do first was what he chose (Nana). He sent me the audio of his part…and People around me were very excited with his contribution,” Becca stated.

Commenting on how the song has been received by the people, she also substantiated that the release date of the song—and Sarkodie’s wedding date was a coincidence.

“The impact of Nana has been amazing. The song which is over a week now is trending well. Nana came at the right time…because of he [Sarkodie] getting married. It looked like we planned it…but Sarkodie didn’t tell anybody about his wedding…so I didn’t know about that…we had already discussed the release date before I got to know about his wedding,” Becca disclosed.

On how the concept of the ‘Nana’ video came about, she divulged: “We planned it very well…it talks more about love…when you think about Nana, you think about royalty. It involved different cultures. Money Not Barrier To Good Production; You Lack Attitude – Leila Djansi

American and Ghanaian filmmaker, Leila Afua Djansi shares her opinion on making good quality movies to meet international standard.

She made this analysis in a Facebook post. Furthermore, she rubbished claims by several Ghanaian film makers that high budget is a priority in producing an international standard movies.

Moreover, she said main the reason why movie makers are unable to produce standard movies is because of their attitudes.

According to her, without change of attitude, the Ghanaian film industry will lack behind.

Also, she added that, exposure to technology and collaborating with expertise forms part of good production.

According to her, money plays just thirty percent (30%) role in good movie production.

Leila Djansi to Ghanaian filmmakers about quality

No, my dear filmmakers in Ghana. The difference between your films and black Panther is NOT money.
Money is only maybe 30%. It’s attitude towards the arts.

Exposure – technology, art and crafts is not part of our upbringing. Chew and pour is. We’re never invested. Social media has made it worse. Everything now is for facebook and blogs fame.

Ideas and execution – Ryan Coogler educated his art. He read comic books, attended comic con, explored his passion. He went to labs, workshops.

Attitude towards work – No passion without money. Give an african filmmaker 200million and first thing they’ll do is buy a car and change their wardrobe. Wear shades and sit behind the monitor and look forward to the red carpet. Come late to set, not read the script.

Ego. – Ryan Coogler is all about his craft. He cares not for attention or fame. He even rejected an academy membership. How many African filmmakers can say that about themselves? Reject academy membership?

Collaborators. – you can have all the money in this world and if you are not surrounded by the right people, you will pay them handsomely and they will still do shoddy work! I’m speaking from experience. Give them the healthiest budget, they will cut it in half, spend half on themselves, doctor the receipts and give you bad work. Make sure everyone in your boat is rowing, not making holes that will sink your vessel.

More from her about money and filmmaking

Attention to the little things. – Why are you telling this story? Be true to the art and it will burn for you.
I’ve seen African filmmakers at film festivals and all they cared about were the parties and red carpet photos. Not the workshops, not the panels, not networking.

Money can only go so far.
Like Cotton Twines is the lowest budget film in my library. But it is also the title that took me further than my million dollar budgets. Yes, timing was right as well, but the material still had to be good enough. I’m sure the filmmakers behind Nakom can say the same.

Ryan Coogler did not start with Black Panther. He started with Sundance labs, where he horned his craft with Fruitvale Station, a timely story. He had good supporters and crew who did not make everything about money. When things got hard, they helped him up and he carried them along.

Material, Education, Timing, Collaborators, Action plan.
All these come before money. No one starts from the top.

Once again, we’re making everything about money. This is the trap that holds us back in every aspect.
Church, money
Politics, money
Hospital, money.

When will compassion and innovation be given a place?

Gospel Musician Reveals How Doctors Nearly killed Her During Pregnancy

Gospel Musician, Abigail Coleman has recounted some of the horrors she went through in the hands of some doctors whilst pregnant.

According to her, she had one ectopic, lost her child after delivery and doctors left placenta in her womb and yet she is still alive.

Speaking to Accra based radio station Accra FM, she recounts how this was the worst situation the Lord had ever saved her from.

Abigail Coleman revealed this when the presenter asked her “What was the worst situation you’ve been in that the Lord has saved you”

She recalled: “The worst was, I don’t even know which one to pick. When I came here from the UK and went to Canada, I’m sure a lot of people already know about it.

When I was pregnant and had an ectopic, the next one was when I gave birth and my child died in my hands. But the other one that was more serious was when I was carrying my third child. The doctors had left a placenta in my womb from the previous pregnancy.

And when you read on the internet, this killed a lot of people, and I was going back and forth for 2 months with it in my stomach and I was bleeding like an open tap.

That was when I knew what God had for me was not yet done so I’d never die. If God doesn’t kill you, no human can”.

9 Biggest Mistakes Men And Women Make In The First Month Of A Relationship

Here are nine things to avoid doing in the first month of dating:

1. Make plans for the distant future.

Here’s a rule you can steal from “How I Met Your Mother”: “Never make plans with a date further in the future than the amount of time you’ve been going out.”

Of course, in a non-sitcom land, this rule gets voided once you’re in a serious, committed relationship — otherwise, no one could ever make marriage vows — but in the first month of dating, keep plans for the future at a minimum. This should be a no-pressure time to get to know one another.

2. Use the “L” word.

You might be falling for Mr. Right, but don’t drop the “love” bomb just yet. Keep your date from getting overwhelmed — and guard your own heart — by taking things slow. There’s plenty of time for love talk. In the meantime, just keep things at “like” and reassure your date that you’re interested in moving forward.

3. Talk about your future wedding. (See #1)

Don’t get ahead of yourself. You’ll have plenty of time to plan a wedding…if the relationship makes it past the one-month mark. Also, no one wants to hear that you’ve been planning a wedding on your own. It can come across as too eager — or worse, desperate.

4. Introduce your date to your entire family.

Meeting up with some friends or a sibling for a drink is one thing, inviting your date to your aunt’s birthday party is another. Set aside month #1 as getting-to-know-you time. You don’t want your grandma coming to conclusions about the where the relationship is headed before you do.

Related: Don’t meet the kids either. Give it time. Only introduce your kids to someone you’re serious about.

5. Co-purchase something together.

Don’t buy a dog together, an antique table together, or a couples’ membership to the zoo. Don’t even buy a lottery ticket together.

Unless you’re just splitting the cost of dinner, keep purchases separate. Otherwise, you’re prematurely adding a level of commitment to the relationship.

6. Slam your ex.

Your date wants to get to know YOU, not that jerk who dumped you. In a long-term relationship, all the dating horror stories of the past will be revealed. Don’t overwhelm your date with unnecessary (and bitter) details in the early stages of a relationship.

7. Ask for money.

Don’t do it. Your first month of dating might turn into your last.

8. Give him a key.

Draw some careful boundaries for your burgeoning relationship. Don’t merge lives too soon.

Related: Don’t ask him to reschedule his life for you. You’ve been dating less than a month. Don’t expect him to cancel poker night for your friend’s wine and cheese night. It’s okay to have separate lives, especially this early on.

9. Show up at her work.

Let her brag to all of her coworkers about you for months before you make an appearance. Her work is her space. Respect it. (And when you do eventually show up at work, bring flowers.)

‘Praye Is Back For Good’ – Tiatia

Praye Tiatia, a member of the music trio group, Praye, says the group is back for good under the management of EKB records owned by Kiki Banson

According to Praye Tiatia, born Stephen Fiawoo, the group is now mature and they have put their past behind them.

Praye Tiatia, told Joy News‘ MzGee their maturity would reflect their new songs.

“The maturity will be felt in our compositions; even the way we behave we are in the studio has changed.  A lot has changed and it is for good. When you grow, you grow for good,” he stated.

However,  Tiatia, who rebranded to Cartel Big J after group members went their separate ways a few years ago was uncertain if the group’s bane was lack of maturity when they went their separate ways.

“We were young and when you are young so when you are growing you mature and you learn from your mistakes you’ve done in the past and bettered it. I will say we are in a better place.” He noted.

Praye, made up of also Praye Honeho, Tintin and Tiatia, came into the mainstream music in 2004. This was after they emerged winners at the maiden edition of the Nescafé African Revelations talent hunt.

Members of the group, however, went their separate ways in 2014 but two of them – Tintin and Tiatia- came back later to keep the group until Honeho(Choirmaster) joined recently. They are sure they won’t go their separate ways again.

I’m A Proud Product of Dr Obengfo’s Hospital – Actress

  1. Many female entertainers have often times shy away from admitting to have undergone surgery to enhance their forms at the Advanced Body Sculpt Centre known as Obengfo Hospital.

Nonetheless, singer and actress Nana Frema Koranteng says she will always admit that she is a product of the hospital, owned by the renowned doctor, Dr. Dominic Obeng Andoh.

The singer said she does not feel diffident to tell the public that she underwent surgery to gain her current form.

“I’ve not committed a sin so why should I feel shy to announce that I’m a product of Dr. Obengfo? We have to be real as human beings. If I’ve done a surgery, why should I feel shy to say it? When I planned on doing it, I told him about it and he asked me to gather money for the process” she said.

When asked if the surgery was expensive, she replied yes but quickly added that Dr. Obeng gave her a discount since he realized that she needed it so badly.
