Miss Ghana 2018 Launched

The search for the next queen to wear the Miss Ghana crown is on. Also, the queen takes up social responsibilities for the year.

Exclusive Events Ghana, organisers of the pageant launched the ceremony at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra. Furthermore, the launch paves way for various auditions around the country to select finalists for the main event.

Launch of Miss Ghana 2018

The launch comes off days after Miss Ghana 2017 allegedly resigned from her position.

Moreover, the organisers welcomed her resignation.

Under the Miss Ghana Foundation, the Miss Ghana pageant has, over the years, carved an impressive niche. The pageant generates awareness towards various socio-economic problems. The queen collaborates with government institutions and corporate firms in sending relief to various deserving communities across the country.

One of the major projects undertaken by the Miss Ghana Foundation, among many others, is the Don Bosco Street Child Project, where the foundation helped in acquiring a 10-acre of land and established a hostel where thousands of street children are given social and technical training.

The land also hosts the only functioning Child Protection Centre in Ghana.

Last week, the foundation, together with National Petroleum Authority (NPA), commissioned a water system to residents in Nabuli Witches Camp in the Gushegu Municipality in the Northern Region.

The Miss Ghana Organisation will be searching for queens who will best fit its agenda to impact society.

The pageant, therefore, would not all be about glitz, glam and the many privileges that come with the crown. It will come with an ambassadorial role that involves a lot of work – in joining other enterprising ladies to bring change to communities.

The role of the beauty queen is also to serve as a role model who helps in generating support for the under-privileged in societies to get access to quality education, health and good standard of living.

Exclusive Events Dare Beauty Queens To Name People

The organizers of Miss Ghana pageant speak up about the allegations. The statements is a PR campaign to win the good faith of Ghanaians.

Moreover, this is after allegations from 4 former beauty queens. The allegations ranged from sexual harassment, exploitation and pimping.

Furthermore, Margaret Dery’s resignation brings the issue back into the spotlight. Also, for many it validates the allegations of the former queens. However, Exclusive Events put out a press release

Exclusive Events Ghana Dares Former Beauty Queens to mention the names and addresses of the Big Men who wanted to Sexually Abuse them

The management of Exclusive Events Ghana, the organizers of the annual Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant by this statement categorically rubbishes the frivolous allegations of sexual exploitation, abuse and pimping of the winners of the pageant to preying men. These allegations levelled against Exclusive Events Ghana and Inna Patty are useless and categorically untrue, inspired by malice and mischief and only calculated to ridicule, embarrass, disparage and bring out the outfit into disrepute.

We are daring the former winners, Margaret Dery (Miss Ghana 2017), Stephanie Karikari (Miss Ghana 2010), Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi (Miss Ghana 2013) and Antoinette Delali Kemavor (Miss Ghana 2015) to mention the names and addresses of the Big Men that Inna Patty and Exclusive Events Ghana wanted the Beauty Queens to have sex with in return for financial returns and sponsorship deals.

It is very sad that in this modern era some young women still see themselves as only useful sex objects. Beauties without brains always consider themselves as sex objects and nothing else.

Rest of the statement

Women empowerment and development will continue to suffer setbacks. This is if naive women still hold onto the old tricks of using sex as a medium to manipulate, discredit and blackmail people when situations and events do not favour their ways and aspirations.

Institutions, organizations and prominent people in society have had their hard earned reputation destroyed by the ‘foolish’ attitude of some women using frivolous sex allegations as a powerful tool in blackmailing.

Exclusive Events Ghana and Inna Patty have never on any occasion use the Beauty Pageant to sexually harrass and abuse contestants and that is so.

We urge our former beauty queens to exhibit maturity and back their sex allegations by mentioning the names and addresses of these Big Men who wanted to sleep with them so the necessary legal action can be taken against them.

Why is it that the beauty queens did not report the so called Big Men to the security agencies over sexual exploitation and abuse?

KSM Mocks Prophets Amidst Collapse of Ghanaian Banks

Satirist, Kwaku Sintim-Misa, best known as KSM seems to wonder why prophets in Ghana do not seem to foresee the collapse or closure of banks in Ghana.

According to the actor of “Build Your Ark” fame, It does not look as if God was concerned about the closure of banks.

This, however appears shocking to the comedian.

Especially, considering the fact that some prophets only put out supposed ‘doomsday’ visions of celebrities.

The collapse and closure of banks is a recent spate by which the Bank of Ghana

(BoG) is clamping down on irregularities in the financial and banking sector.

Only this week, the BoG forced the merger of five independent banks.

The five banks in question are UniBank, The Construction Bank, The Royal Bank, Beige Bank and Sovereign Bank. They are now called The Consolidate Bank.

Customers of the individual banks have expressed worries over the merger. However, banks such as UniBank have informed customers through text messages about new details regarding the merger.

KSM who has always had issues with Prophets and some “men of God” in the country was shocked

God did not inform these prophets about the closure ahead of time.

Individuals like Bishop Obinim, Nigel Gaisie and co have been fond of doomsday prophecies.

Meanwhile, KSM doesn’t seem to be the only one who hold onto this belief.

Many commenting on his tweet agreed with him when he put out his thoughts in a tweet.
