Gospel singer, Hannah Marfo talks about her trials with money. Furthermore, she needs an amount of GHc 43,000 to treat her ailing daughter. Therefore, she appeals to the general public for help.

The singer narrated how she landed in such a sorry financial state after all her fame. Moreover, she revealed that the fame did not necessarily translate to cash. Also, she has been going through financial difficulties. This is because Pastors often take gospel musicians for granted. These pastors and are reluctant to pay them after they perform in their churches with the excuse that they are doing “God’s work”.

She made these revelations on Light FM in Kumasi. Furthermore, she explained that it was so bad that she sometimes had to go to bed on an empty stomach after performing in some churches.

“Sometimes you have to drink water to bed after you have gone to perform in a church. No single church in Kumasi can tell me I charged to perform whiles I lived there. In those days, people paid me according to what they thought it was a good wage. Sometimes you have to drink water to bed after you have gone to perform in a church, you see…I have performed and gone to bed with no food. Even common transportation they won’t offer you”.

According to her, it is very common practice for heads of churches to take gospel artists for granted.

“Lots of them, all they say is God bless you. I don’t know if the trend has changed this time, but previously, some were doing it”

Angel celebrates Sarkodie’s birthday.

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie celebrated his birthday yesterday. Furthermore, he received a lot of well wishes from family, friends and fans alike. Moreover, one of those people was his manager, Angel Town.

Gloria Sarfo talks about veteran actors.

Actress and television personality, Gloria Sarfo encourages industry players and stakeholders in the movie industry to support the veterans. This is because these veterans contributed towards the growth of the industry.

Moreover, the actress made it a norm to celebrate her birthday with the aged. Furthermore, she confirmed that they feel “neglected”.

“They are not happy, they are not okay with what is happening in the system…it looks as if we have neglected them…it looks as if we don’t think they exist. These people those days, I mean years back who entertained us when we get back home.” 

She made these statement to TV Africa’s Nikki Samonas in the wake of the sudden demise of the actor, Mac Jordan Amartey. Moreover, she added that movie makers and producers should involve the veteran actors when assigning certain roles.

“Most of our veterans wish they are called back on set, they miss being on set and in front of the camera…You know most of them do admire we the young ones who are emerging… They wish they can act and have something to do with us but nobody calls them. Instead, what do we see, we see people who are made-up to play the roles the veterans can play”

Shatta Michy dispenses wisdom to Rosemond Brown aka Akuapem Polo.

Ghanaian socialite, Shatta Michy met Rosemond Brown at the just ended Ghana Football Awards. Furthermore, she used the chance to talk to her and advise her about the industry. Moreover, a couple of weeks ago Rosemond made a video and she said she wanted Shatta Wale.

However, it seems Michy is over those sentiments.

Sumsum talks about Ghallywood actors.

Kumawood actor, Sumsum stated that Van Vicker was arrogant. Furthermore, he made these statements on the Delay Show. Moreover, he opened up about numerous topics including his grudge against Van Vicker.

Recently, numerous Kumawood actors have been speaking up about their Accra based colleagues. According to them, their Accra colleagues look down upon them.

Also, he spoke about an incident which he believes clearly illustrates that point.

“I met Van Vicker and some other people. I raised my hand to shake everybody present and when it got to Van Vicker’s turn, he decided not to shake my palm but rather give me a fist; something I saw as discriminatory and disrespectful. Since then I’ve decided not to cross paths with him.” 

According to Sumsum, that made him feel Vicker believes he’s better than him and he warned that Ghallywood actors must stop having those feeling of superiority over their colleagues in Kumawood.

Bullet hits back at social media trolls.

CEO of RuffTown Records, Bullet responds angrily to reports that his newest signee, Wendy Shay, wears the same wig.

Furthermore, social media trolled the singer about her unchanging hairdo.

Moreover, according to social media users, since she was unveiled has been wearing the same wig. Also, it was the same wig in the music video of her hit track “Uber Driver”.

Therefore, her fans appeal to her to change the wig as well as the hairdo.

However, in an angry rebuttal Bullet claims the wig is part of Shay’s ‘brand’. He made this known in a Facebook post. He stated that they (RuffTown) can shoot a music video costing $20,000 for Shay so why the hell can’t they afford a simple weave-on.

There is another beef brewing between Efia Odo and Delay.

Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo hits back at Delay. Furthermore, she stated that she doesn’t sleep with people husbands. Therefore,  that is why she always flaunts her boyfriend on social media.

Moreover, she made these comments after Delay tried to advise her about her relationship.

Furthermore, for some time now, the actress flaunts her lover Kweku Reveloe to the world through her various social media handles.

However, people think their relationship should be kept private.

Lynx entertainment artistes, KiDi and Kuami Eugene disclosed their relationship troubles. Furthermore, they stated that finding the right women is a big problem. Moreover, this is ever since for them since they ventured into the music industry.

The two musicians revealed that they have not gone into any serious relationships since they started pursuing their music dreams.

They made these statements in an interview on the Nkeche Late Night Show (NKL) with Daniella Asante.

Moreover, he disclosed that he was once told that when he becomes a musician finding the perfect woman would be a burden for him but he doubted it.

“People used to tell me that it will become difficult for me to date when I become famous but I downplayed it and now that I’m here I realized that it’s not easy. First of all, there is paranoia because you don’t know who is coming to you for real so it’s very hard trusting anybody”.

Moreover, according to her, the trolls broke her down. Therefore, she cried for two days.

She made these statments on Berla Mundi’s show on GhOne Tv discussing ‘Social Media trolling-who to blame?’. Furthermore, she disclosed that there has been a lot of body-shaming trolls on her on the internet. The trolling has gotten her angry, sad or broken.
