I Performed On An Empty Stomach In Some Churches, Got Paid With “God Bless You” – Hanna Marfo

Gospel singer, Hannah Marfo talks about her trials with money. Furthermore, she needs an amount of GHc 43,000 to treat her ailing daughter. Therefore, she appeals to the general public for help.

The singer narrated how she landed in such a sorry financial state after all her fame. Moreover, she revealed that the fame did not necessarily translate to cash. Also, she has been going through financial difficulties. This is because Pastors often take gospel musicians for granted. These pastors and are reluctant to pay them after they perform in their churches with the excuse that they are doing “God’s work”.

She made these revelations on Light FM in Kumasi. Furthermore, she explained that it was so bad that she sometimes had to go to bed on an empty stomach after performing in some churches.

Hannah Marfo talks about performing and not getting money

“Sometimes you have to drink water to bed after you have gone to perform in a church. No single church in Kumasi can tell me I charged to perform whiles I lived there. In those days, people paid me according to what they thought it was a good wage. Sometimes you have to drink water to bed after you have gone to perform in a church, you see…I have performed and gone to bed with no food. Even common transportation they won’t offer you”.

According to her, it is very common practice for heads of churches to take gospel artists for granted.

“Lots of them, all they say is God bless you. I don’t know if the trend has changed this time, but previously, some were doing it”

Wendy Shay’s ‘Uber Driver’ Video Cost Us $20,000 – Bullet

CEO of RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyeman best known as Bullet has pounced back at critics of his artiste, Wendy Shay.

Social media was awash with photos of the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker few days ago with critics calling her out to change her hairstyle. This according to them is because she has kept her weavon for three months.

But her Manager, Bullet has asked Ghanaians to do away with their needless criticisms. According to Bullet, it is high time Ghanaians supported young talents and did away with unnecessary criticisms.

In a post on Facebook, the artiste manager said Ghanaians with their demonic tongues killed Ebony Reigns and he will not sit for Ghanaians to do same to Wendy Shay.

“Some Ghanaians hate to see young talented people progress.you guys did worst to ebony reigns when she was alive now is wendy shay.i dey beg una make you remove that your evil mouth from her,and those who dont get it, her hair style is her brand,” he wrote.

He also added that the label was able to shoot a video worth 20,000 US Dollars for Wendy. Hence, if anything at all, buying a weavon for her wouldn’t be a problem.

“if rufftown records can shoot 20,000 us dollar video for wendy shay then how much is weavon.Ghana support your own and stop the pull him down attitude!”.

I Change My Hair Every Week – Wendy Shay Responds To Trolls

Budding artiste, Wendy Shay has finally responded to trolls on social media about her hairstyle.

The RuffTown artiste became a subject of troll on social media days ago. According to some Instagram users, Wendy has been keeping the same hairstyle continuously for 3 months.

They could hence not fathom why an artiste of her caliber will continue to put on a weave for three months.

But in a reply to a comment on her social media page, the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker indicated that she doesn’t keep the same hair for more than a week. According to her, she is a professional nurse and knows the importance of personal hygiene.

She indicated that she changes her hair every week but keeps the same style because that is her brand identity.

Meanwhile, her manager, Bullet has also come out to bash her Wendy’s critics. He also mentioned that this was the same unsavory remarks made by his late artiste, Ebony. However, Bullet pleaded with Ghanaians to stop their negative criticisms and support young talents.

275 Blay Buses v. 55 Ambulances: God Must Kill Our Leaders – Kwaw Kese Fumes

Rapper Kwaw Kese, aka ‘Abodam’ has expressed his views on the latest 275 buses provided by the chairman for the NPP, Freddie Blay.

According to Kese, It is “stupidity” and “foolishness” to import 275 brand new buses for a political party when the whole of Ghana is grappling with just 55 ambulances.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, Kwaw Kese is heard saying:

“It is stupidity and foolishness that a political party will be buying 275 buses for its activities at a time the nation is struggling with just 55 ambulances. God should continue punishing Ghana, and our leaders must start dying one by one.

“Go to Korle-Bu’s emergency ward and see how patients are suffering over lack of ambulances, yet politicians are able to raise money to buy buses for their activities.”

The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Worsemao Blay, has purchased according to reports 275 buses for his party.

Hundreds of those buses have arrived in the country with the remaining expected soon.

Meanwhile, Mr Blay, speaking about the source of funding for these buses told journalists said:

“We’re taking a bank facility to do so. It’s self-paying… We do so for and for every constituency. It’s not about if they vote for me first before I do it. The buses are in the country. They’re in the harbour,” he told journalists on Wednesday, 4 July 2018.

Some female artistes of Highly Spiritual Record Label have stated that men are more complicated in relationships than women.

This conclusion, according to the signees, Rashelle Blue and S3fa were deduced from their personal experiences.

According to them, men are just not complicated, but their inability to make definite decisions in a relationship could hamper the growth of the relationship.

“Men do not know what they want. They even change girls all the time. Men make us feel like we are doing something wrong, when they are making us do it” S3fa opined.

Responding to OAP, Kwame Bee and actor Peter Ritchie’s who have argued that men lie to save their relationship Rashelle Blue laments the unfair categorization and stereotyping that gives men an advantage in a relationship.

“They were saying something about I lied because…if a women comes with such an excuse as to why she is lying, he is not going to accept it but the other way around is allowed…it doesn’t make sense,” Rashelle said.

Gee Spot hosted by MzGee airs on Saturdays at 6.30 pm on JoyPrime channel on the MultiTV.
