Shatta Wale Needs To Join The No Tramadol Campaign Because Most Of His Fans Are Tramadol Abusers – Nukre

Nukre calls out Shatta Wale.

Moreover, this is considering the influence he wields over the ghetto youth.

Nukre about Shatta Wale and the campaign on end Tramadol campaign

“I’m disappointed in Shatta Wale for sleeping when Tramadol is destroying the lives of many in the ghettos. People living in the ghettos especially the youth, look up to him. Shatta stands as the father of the ghettos and this is the time the youth needs him.”

Furthermore, in his opinion, Shatta Wale should be calling on the government to put more effort into developing the country. Therefore, he should be composing more positive songs to influence the youth.

“If Shatta was able to compose a song to create awareness on fake prophets and their fake prophecies then what stops him from doing same in the fight against the abuse of Tramadol?”

Let’s Encourage Our Children To Research About Marijuana – David Oscar

Ghanaian comedian, David Oscar talks about legalizing marijuana.

Furthermore, according to him, people have a lot of misconceptions about marijuana. This includes the rumor that it makes people mad. However, he states emphatically that there is no scientific evidence to prove that marijuana use causes madness.

Moreover, according to him, anyone who went mad from smoking marijuana definitely injected themselves with heroin or sniffed some cocaine earlier.

Furthermore, he claims marijuana is a divine plant with healing properties. Therefore, he boldly testifies to it because he was suffering from severe hemorrhages for a while. However, marijuana healed him.

Also, Oscar believes school children should be allowed to research and debate the benefits of marijuana and be more open-minded about its uses, both medicinal and commercial. He says he is aware that people might conclude that he has suddenly started preaching about marijuana because he now has dreadlocks, but he insists it has nothing to do with it. All he wants is for others to see the light as he has.

GAS, MUSIGA To Wage War Against Vulgar Lyrics

The Ghana Association of Songwriters (GAS), will soon clamp down on the use of vulgar lyrical content contained in music churned out in the country.

This was revealed by Emmanuel Barnes, President of GAS at the launch and inauguration of new executives of the Association in Accra.

Emmanuel Barnes

According to Emmanuel Barnes said it is important to place premium on the kind of content that musicians produce.

“Recently, we have had bad songs than good songs, and sometimes I look at the future and ask what the kids coming up would say about us so with GAS, we are going to make sure we curb all these things. I think this is the time to make a change.”He said.

Barnes, who is also music producer, re-emphasised that the Association would sanitize the airwaves and ensure that music put out there is devoid of vulgar language.

“I understand the need for clean songs because I believe music impacts on the people’s mind a lot. It either corrupts or elevates, entertains and educates.” He stated.

The Ghana Association of Songwriters is a cooperative effort by individual songwriters in Ghana. It helps increase royalty rates and educate members about the business of songwriting and lyrical content.

Speaking at the launch, executive member of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Daddy Bosco commended the leadership of the Association. He further pledged the Musicians Union’s support for the Association.

“I want to assure the Ghana Association of Songwriters of our utmost support and collaboration. I invite everybody here to celebrate the leadership of Association,” he said.

Kwesi Nyantakyi in the video claimed that the President, his vice and other govt officials could all be bought with certain sums of money.

Furthermore, Bempah commented on the video for the first time. He said Anas is a trickster who goes out attempting to force people to commit crimes.

Also, Bempah argued that in the video none of the people asked for money. However, Anas forced it on them and they cannot be said to have done anything wrong in that instance.

He said in any case, if Nyantakyi has done wrong then so has Anas for offering the bribe.

Bullet Finally Reveals Why He Was Quick To Replace Ebony With Wendy Shay

The CEO of RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet has finally revealed why he was quick to replace the late Ebony Reigns with Wendy Shay.

Bullet was heavily criticized by many Ghanaians when he announced his new artiste, Wendy Shay just some few days after Ebony’s burial.

He has since been the ‘toast’ of many social media users and even some artistes whosaid it was too early for him to replace Ebony.

But Bullet has finally revealed why he recruited another artiste or replaced Ebony that early in an interview with Dr. Pounds on Hitz Gallery on Accra based radio station Hitz Fm.

According to him, it is a Ghanaian mentality to say he replaced Ebony or was too quick to recruit another artiste because he’s a business man.

He further stated that, no business entity closes down for losing an employee.

“it is a Ghanaian mentality. It’s business. Dr pounds if something should happen to you or a presenter at Hitz fm , Multimedia is not going to close down. KABA was at Multimedia, he died and Multimedia is still working.

Rufftown Records is a business. I am doing business, people should rather say Bullet did well after all he went through; all the sufferings ,bashings. He is on his feet trying to push other young talented artistes. Ghanaians should look at the positive side of it. I can wait for Ebony 100 years and Ebony is not going to come back. Music must go on, work must go on and people are saying I should wait ?,” he said.

Bullet has signed male artistes like Brella, Danny Beatz, on his label. But he revealed on the show that his concentration is focused on helping the female artistes as the industry is flooded with male artistes

I Owe All Actors Who Featured In ‘Table of Men’ Series – Ekow Smith-Asante

Ghanaian Actor, Ekow Smith-Asante talks about financial woes. Furthermore, he disclosed that he is financially indebted to all actors he featured for his television drama series, Table of Men.

The popular Television series used to be aired on TV3. However, it was taken off due to lack of finance to continue the other episodes and pay the casts.

The series features actors such as Gloria Sarfo, Jessica Williams, Fiifi Coleman, Adjetey Annan, Naa Ashorkor, Okyeame Kwame, Martha Ankomah. Others include Prince David Osei, Foster Romanus, Grace Nortey, Elikem Kumordji and many others.

He made these statements on Kasapa FM.

Ecow Smith Asante on not paying cast of Table Of Men

“Table of Men is not aired on TV3 anymore because of financial challenges. I really owe the casts, all of them. Prince David Osei, Naa Ashorkor, Abeiku Acquah, Fred Amugi, Elikem Kumordzie, a lot of quality actors. I won’t lie, it’s embarrassing, I’m owing all of them but they have just been patient. The thing is, I had a contract with a man at TV3 who promised to help me but it got to a point the money was not coming as per the contract agreement.

We went for close to a year and there was nothing coming and they were also not saying anything relevant as well. According to them, the initial payment they did was supposed to cover a number of episodes, but this is he situation where the program was not already made, they willingly promised to sponsor everything so why then do you give excuses when we’re half way through it?”

Furthermore, according to the Actor, TV3 had the perception that once they had paid some percentage of the money, they should have access to the whole show and air it to their audience. However, he argued out that, ideally TV3 was to finance the show to the last episode.

Smith Asante on finding a new home for the show

Also, Asante stated that the television series did not really succeed on TV3 because of the misunderstanding that ensued. However,  Zylofon TV has agreed to air it after they signed a contract with them.

“We have shot the first season and handed it over to Zylofon to air it for us so that we can use the money we’ll generate from it to finance the subsequent seasons. Because we have two seasons more to shoot, the series is made up of three seasons. The show will be aired on Saturdays 7:30pm and on Tuesdays 2:30pm

“To be very honest, I’m broken. I fell empty and down. It got to a point I lost hope. If you ask me if I wanted to finish the second part of the second season I will tell you that I’m not in the mood, because it’s a series we were shooting, the halt to it brought a lot of changes, the casts’ lifestyles changed, the movie locations were affected and all that, it wasn’t easy.”

Moreover, the actor and producer was still optimistic that the Ghanaian movie industry will progress and become better someday.

Some Top Artistes Called TV Stations To Stop Playing Wendy Shay’s ‘Uber Driver’- Bullet

CEO of RuffTown Records, Bullet has made some shocking revelations about how some top artistes wanted to end his artiste, Wendy Shay’s career.

According to Bullet, some top artistes called TV stations to question why they frequently play Wendy Shay’s hit song dubbed ‘Uber Driver’.

He further stated that, this surprised him to the core considering the fact that it was coming from A-List artistes.

Bullet made this revelation in an interview with Dr. Pounds on Hitz Gallery on Accra based radio station Hitz Fm.

He however refused to mention the names of such artistes although the host pushed him to do so.

Bullet could not fathom why top artistes are trying to sabotage Wendy Shay, considering the fact that she’s a new artiste.

“When she dropped her music and TV Stations were playing it, other musicians called the TV stations to question them on why they were playing Wendy Shay’s song too much. It is surprising too, when its coming from A-list artistes…” he said.

Bullet however took the opportunity to charge fellow musicians to be supportive of each other rather than pulling each other down.

“Wendy Shay was bemused when she witnessed this, but I told her its part of the game and she should do her own thing. I will guide her through to the top. She seems new to these stuffs…” Bullet added
