Kwasi Ernest Lost An Opportunity To Work For Zylofon Music – Joyce Blessing

Joyce Blessing talks about lost opportunities.

The only gospel signed artiste on Zylofon Music, Joyce Blessing disclosed that CEO of Media Excel was nearly employed by Zylofon Music.

Furthermore, the hitmaker said she recommended Kwesi Ernest to CEO of Zylofon Music. Moreover, this was due to his competence and dedication. However, he lost the opportunity after he collected money paid Joyce Blessing due to her inability to perform at the 2018 ‘Bliss on Hills’ event earlier this year.

A couple of months ago, Ernest made news some after he collected the money from the artiste after her failure to perform at his concert. However, Joyce had an accident en route to the concert.

She made these statements on GH Entertainment. Furthermore, Blessing revealed to the host that she personally recommended Mr. Ernest to Nana Appiah Mensah despite resistance. Also, plans were far advanced for him to be called to join the Zylofon team.

Joyce Blessing on Kwesi Ernest not being on Zylofon Music

‘But he lost that opportunity after he collected his money back from me. Although I had had an accident and was unable to perform at an event he organized. I personally recommended him. My boss, NAM 1 asked why I recommended someone who was always attacking me but I brushed it off and told my boss he [Ernest] was exceptionally good,’

I Don’t Charge For Shows Anymore – Mzbel

Ghanaian singer, Mzbel said she doesn’t need money for performances. Furthermore, she stated that she does not demand cash when an individual approaches her to hire service for a concert. She made these comments on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch. Moreover, she was there to promote her single, ‘Tongue’.

Also, she disclosed that she is currently in the music industry because she wants to. However, it’s not for the reason that she needs to make fortunes from the songs she will release. Also, she stated the even though she doesn’t ask for money, she makes certain demands when she is needed for an event.

According to her, the event organiser should be able to pay for her transportation and also give her a good refreshment after the event.

Mzbel on her performance demands and reasons behind no cash for performance

“I’m not in active music as before. I record songs when I’ve time but if not, I’ll not worry myself over it. I’ve recorded a lot of songs but since I don’t have time, they are all stored for future release. I like it if I get money from music but that is not my focus now. I’ve not been charging for shows in recent times. I just ask if the event is a good one which will help my brand and I also ask what the person can offer. If organiser’s quote is good, I’ll accept it. At times charging discourages people so I wont charge but we will definitely need a refreshment when we come. If you can’t afford transport and refreshment then you are not serious.”

7 Common Myths About Sex

There are plenty of myths around sex and our attitude towards pleasure. In popular culture, it is often built up as something illusive or male-centric – so it’s not surprising that many people still feel misinformed in the 21st Century. With that in mind, we have picked 7 of the most commonly-circulated myths with the aim of setting the record straight.

1. “You can tell the size of a man’s penis by his shoe size”

Many people still seem to use feet as an indicator for size… elsewhere. But in 2002, a study of 104 men at University College London found absolutely no correlation between the two. Another conducted in Canada of just 63 men found a very weak link, as well as one between penis length and height. It’s definitely not certain, so for now we’d suggest the only thing you’ll learn by a man’s shoes is his taste in fashion.

2. “Condoms ruin sex”

This is a no brainer. Using condoms means your partner cares and you can relax, enjoy what is happening and worry about getting pregnant or contracting an STI.

Often the sensation of “not feeling anything” is due to a lack of lubrication so adding a little can make it feel more pleasurable.

Make sure you find the perfect fit because men who find condoms uncomfortable could be wearing the wrong size.

3. “Faking an orgasm is OK”

Sam at Jo Divine says:It’s a disservice to your partner by not teaching them what works best for you, even if you don’t want to hurt their feelings.

Most people appreciate a little guidance when it comes to pleasuring their partner. Even if you don’t orgasm it should feel pleasurable, so make sure to tell your partner what you want.

4. “Sex needs to last hours”

Sam at J0 Divine says:Sex should last however long you want it to. Contrary to popular belief that sex needs to last for hours to be considered good: many couples enjoy satisfying sexual intercourse which lasts between 3-13 minutes, according to Penn State Erie researchers Eric Corty and Jenay Guardiani (2008).

Some women find long sex sessions, while men can find this boring and often prefer for it to end sooner rather than later. Other people enjoy slow, sensual sexual pleasure. It depends on who, where, when, why and how you have sex.

If you only have time for quickie sex, then three minute sex is perfect and extremely satisfying. You may not orgasm but it’s fun and might lead to a longer session later that day.

So dispel these myths, and enjoy better sex.

5. “He comes first”

Sam at Jo Divine says:Female orgasms are just as important. If a woman finds a male partner has beaten them to it, why not have your orgasm during foreplay or just tell him he can’t come before you do – this can make sex feel more intense!

6. “You can only orgasm through penetrative sex”

Most women require clitoral stimulation to experience an orgasm and 70 percent of women achieve an orgasm clitorally.

Depending on what position you have sex, some women are able to orgasm this way and is probably due to stimulation of both her clitoris and G-spot which causes this.

7. “All women orgasm”

Sam at Jo Divine says:This isn’t true as some women experience anorgasmia whereby they cannot orgasm. This doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy sexual pleasure. Orgasm tends to be the end of the journey but travelling to that point can be just as much fun than reaching it.

Maccasio Thinks Anas Should Look Into Fancy Gadam’s Wins At The VGMAs

Ghanaian artiste, Sherif Abdul Majeed, best known as Maccasio believes that there’s a question mark to Fancy Gadam’s win at the VGMAs.

As a result, the northern region based artistes thinks Anas should delve into the awards of his rival, Fancy Gadam.

Fancy Gadam won the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’ with his ‘Total Cheat’ song at the this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs).

Meanwhile, many had already tipped Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ song to win.

He also caused another surprise last year when he won the Best New Artiste of the Year Awards.

This time round, many had highly tipped AMG artiste, Medikal to win.

These two awards, have made people to raise suspicious brows at Gadam and even Chatterhouse, organizers of the event.

Many, including other artistes believe Fancy’s awards are highly questionable. But as it stands, one cannot make allegations but must provide evidence to banter such claims.

Something all the suspicious people have up to date not been able to do.

Macassio was one of the numerous artistes who congratulated colleagues for their VGMAs this year, including Fancy Gadam.

But Maccasio believes something definitely got crooked at some point.

He therefore thinks it will only be prudent for someone to delve into the matter, who surely is none other than Anas.

Maccasio thinks Anas would reveal “something else” should he delve into the last two (2) VGMAs by Charter House.

In a latest post on Facebook, he indicated that Anas might surface shocking revelations should he look into the awards scheme.

He wrote:

“Sorry guys I didn’t want to talk about Anas’s #Number12 expose but just imagine if Anas was gonna give us some videos of the previous VGMA AWARDS my man Medikal and one Corner man would be shocked ????.”

The rapper is also set to release his latest single ‘Lyrical Stamina’ featuring Stone B on June 13, 2018.

There Are Many ‘Talented But Broke Artistes’ In Ghana – D Black

Ghanaian rapper, entrepreneur and Black Avenue Music Boss, D-Black has made some shocking revelations about show business.

The ‘Vera’ hitmaker is of the view that, success in any kind of business or even showbiz cannot be solely achieved based on talent alone.

D Black bluntly admitted that there are better rappers than him but are struggling to become successful.

D-Black, born Desmond Blackmore was speaking in an interview with Ghanaweb.

According to him these “talented broke rappers” out there do not have the ability to afford “the machinery or business acumen enough to push what they’re doing,’ in order to be ‘wealthy’ like him.

D-Black blatantly admitted that “It’s not just about talent” that makes musicians relevant.

He further added that, there are rappers who are as good as or even better than Sarkodie and Guru. These rappers, according to him may have found success in the rapping game. But they may have still not found their big break in Showbiz at large.

To him, apart from not being business minded, a potential rapper is bound to fail if he lacks a business driven team.

One which he added may not have the mindset to push that rapper to the point of success.

He labelled them as “talented broke artistes” while emphasizing the importance of having a “business savvy team.”

One who would compensate for the talent’s lack of basic business skills.

D Black is positive the combination of talent and business making skills would contribute greatly to the success of young artistes.

Meanwhile, D-Black is not the only artistes who believes most of their colleagues are living a fake life.

Other artistes, including Shatta Wale and celebs have also in one way or the other admitted to this assertions.

Wizkid Is A Super Star, But I’m A F*ucking Super Star – Shatta Wale

Y’all didn’t really think Shatta Wale was just going to let sleeping dogs lie that easily, did you?

Well, if you did, then sorry to bring you this news because, Shatta still insists he’s a igger artiste than Wizkid.

The just ended Ghana Meets Naija concert was indeed a spectacular one as some ‘beef’ were supposed ‘buried’ there.

The self-acclaimed King of dancehall, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, best known as Shatta Wale started a social media war last year.

Shatta Wale said in an interview that he did not recognize Wizkid, real name Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun as a superstar.

His comment, however, did no go down well with fans of the Nigerian artiste. This resulted in both artistes’ fans exchanging insults on social media.

The heat, however seemed to have cooled down between the two camps weeks later.

However, last Saturday when the multi-award winning Nigerian Afrobeats star introduced Shatta Wale on stage as his brother.

Shatta Wale in-turn showed his appreciation for Wizkid’s kind words by hugging him on stage before putting his set into gear.

Perhaps, to the SM boss, making up on stage was not an admission that he had lowered his stance and his view of Wizkid. As a result, Wale stopped midway during his performance to address Wizkid.

He referred to the Wizkid as a superstar but called himself a “f*ucking” superstar.

Dubbed Rescue Mission, this year’s Ghana Meets Naija concert was put together Empire Entertainment. Kasapreko Alomo Gold and Storm Energy Drink were the proud sponsors of the event.

Moreover, she made these statements in an interview on Happy FM. She labelled Stacy and her husband, Okyeame Quophy as bad people hiding under the umbrella of Christianity to sin.

Mzbel about Stacy Amoateng and husband, Okyeame Quophi

“Stacy is bad, she can’t be my friend. All she can do is to lie and she has covered it with Christianity, she is not real”.

Furthermore, the singer’s problem with the couple may be because out of her 2015 interview with Stacy’s “Restoration” show. In the show, the singer claimed that the ‘Jesus’ story was a hoax.

In conclusion, she said

“Okyeame Quophy and Stacy Amoateng are ‘Ananias and Sapphira’ of your own New Testament Book! Big Liars! Hypocrites! Snake under grass attention seekers! War you ask, war is what you will get!

I Care Less About ‘Bad Rapper’ Tag Because I Know My Audience – D Black

Ghanaian rapper Desmond Blackmore, best known as D-Black has stated that he’s not at all perturbed about being tagged as a ‘bad rapper.’

According to the ‘Julie’ crooner, he knows his audience, and ‘everybody is entitled to their own opinion’. Hence he can be called by all sorts of names so long as his audience love what he’s doing.

He however boasted of a very successful career in rap music that has span over nine years. Not forgetting him clocking along the way, awards in cities around the world.

“I’ve performed my music all over the world, won awards all over the world, sold albums.” Casually dropping in “hit songs” that he has blessed the ears of his fans across the globe with.

The last thing therefore on the rapper’s plate is the opinion of his non-fans. Those who cannot seem to jump on to the wagon of those who see the real artistry in his songs.

“The people that love me, the fans on social media, the people that purchase the music, the people that get the ticket to come to my shows,” are according to D Black, those “that matter to me.”

D-Black made these comments in an interview with Ghanaweb.

I Pioneered Zylofon Music With Nana Appiah Mensah- Kumi Guitar

High Life musician, Kumi Guitar has said he started Zylofon Music with his boss, Nana Appiah Mensah.

According to Kumi Guitar, CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah was his classmate at Adisadel College although they were not that close pals then.

Kumi made this revelation when he took his turn on the ‘Delay Show’.

“I won’t say we were that kind of friends who’ll break bread together but we were very cool.”

The ‘Betweener’ crooner recounted, how he had a call from Nana Appiah two months after leaving Slip Music which belongs to Mark Okraku Mantey.

According to him, Nana Appiah called him over to his office and that was when their bound rejuvenated.

He further stated they had lost each other’s contacts for a very long time. But Nana Appiah, being well aware of his singing dexterity at school was not skeptical about investing in him.

“I was the first artiste he signed on Zylofon Music before bringing on board other artiste to form a formidable music label. NANA Appiah knows I have a keen interest in music. I was best known for dancing and singing in high school so he had every reason to put me on.”

According to Kumi, he also considered what benefits or advantages Nana Appiah could give him before taking his offer into consideration. And he would say that, signing onto the Entrepreneur’s label was not a bad idea at all.

He also added that, Nana Appiah is very much aware of what he is doing so the public should not think he is just ‘throwing’ his money away.

“Nana Appiah is doing very well. He has invested in us and we’ll repay him when the time is due. But as at now, he is just sowing, knowing very well that he’d ripe very soon.” He said.

More importantly, he revealed that there’s no feud or whatsoever between him and Stonebwoy. And same goes with  the remaining signed artistes under Zylofon Music.

However, the event, just like any other came with its pros and cons.

Artistes on the bill did not disappoint their fans as they kept them on their toes jamming to their performance all night.

Then came an embarrasing moment for a die-hard fan of Nigerian artiste, Wizkid. This fan was bundled off the stage by the security men of Wizkid. Simply because, she  control her obsession for the Nigerian superstar.

But it seems that wasn’t the only embarrassing moment of the night according to an Instagram post by Fatimah.

Fatimah, aka ‘Funke Akindele’s’ look-alike seems to have also witnessed one embarrassing moment from Ghanaian songstress, Efya, born Jane Awindor.

The actress, who obviously couldn’t keep this to herself therefore decided to descend on Efya through her Instagram page.

Fatimah Ama Adeoye

According to her, Efya greatly surprised her with her ‘bush’ behavior at the just ended Ghana Meets Naija concert.

She went on to brand Efya as being ‘uncultured’ and doesn’t deserve to be called a celebrity. She further added that Efya was busily fighting for seat whiles her colleagues were on the bill performing.

Perhaps to prove her point and not that she’s just ‘hating’ she called on another witness of her alleged ‘Stupid’ act by Efya.

She tagged Nigerian celebrity Fashion stylist Jeremiah Ogbodo aka Swankyjerry in her post.

Efya

Again adding that even that man could not help but to show his surprise at Efya’s uncouth behavior at the event.

Fatimah, however praised Moesha Buduong for her good behavior she showed at Ghana Meets Naija.

Meanwhile, she, Fatimah also didn’t have it easy as her followers ‘lambasted’ her for also showing her ‘immaturity’ by choosing to address the incident on such platform.

She later pulled decided to delete the post after shealso met such harsh criticisms from her followers.

But, well, there are many ways of killing a cat.

We already have the post saved and present it for evidence sake below;

Ebony Empowered Female Artists – Louisika

Lousika talks about the legacy of Ebony.

She made these statements in Showbiz.

Lousika about Ebony changing the game for female artists

“The ladies are working hard, they’re trying and it is very good to see them motivated and poised to make a difference. Now the females have more confidence, even when it comes to outfits; some are very bold to wear anything unlike before when they were afraid of what people would say about them.

It has always been difficult for females to break out, we don’t get much attention but I think with the shake-up that the late Dancehall Queen, Ebony brought into the industry, the ladies are awake now.”

However, she spoke about the lack of recognition to female rappers. For her, that discrimination has gone on long enough.

“To me, female rappers not being respected is not a new thing because it has been like this for years. But there are many females who are working hard and breaking that stereotype and I pray, hope and believe that with time, things will change. We females need to work harder to make things change and produce good stuff for the people.”

Moreover, she has been missing in action for a while. However, she says she is taking time off to have a second child in Paris, France.

“I am still into music, I can’t leave what I love. It’s just that I need time off to attend to family issues but I am still in the business. I’m pregnant but not handicapped and I’m working on my EP.

“I will be coming back to Ghana very soon and to be honest, I take my time to do my music. I’m not in a rush but then I wanted to have my baby and that’s what I’m doing and with God’s grace, things will follow. My family is very important to me and music will forever be part of me so I don’t have the intention of stopping now. I am just 24, still very young.”

She raps and sings in four languages; French, Twi, English and Spanish.
