VIDEO: I Sometimes Pick ‘Trotro’ Not Because I’m Broke But To Show My Humility – Joey B

Ghanaian musician, Joey B has finally revealed why he sometimes parks his own cars and use public transport popularly called ‘Trotro’.

The ‘Tonga’ hitmaker was spotted  aboard a ‘trotro’ days ago and videos of him in the car went haywire.

Many even began to speculate that he was using a commercial vehicle because he is broke.

But Joey B has refuted claims that he is broke enough to resort to the use of ‘Trotro’

He has addressed the issue in an exclusive interview on Enatomy live show on Class Fm with Barima Amoaning. He stated that, being in the limelight doesn’t prevent him from using a public transport.

According to the ‘U X Me’ crooner, he is learning humility by doing so.

He explained that he is from a humble background, and the fact that he is a celebrity now doesn’t mean he is above anyone picking ‘trotro’.

Joey B revealed that the news report that he was on board a commercial vehicle went really far. This, he said made a lot of people call to verify from him if all was well with him.

“I was really shocked when the news came out that I was broke and so boarding ‘trotro’. People called me; even my uncle called and was like Kwesi is everything okay with you? But the truth behind my picking trotro is that I was trying to portray something. I remember at a point in time when things were not all that rosy and my sister and I were picking trotro to school.” It was a norm; my dad who is a graduate and a very nice man was picking trotro that means he was very humble. So I learnt from that, hey I need to teach people how to be humble; I can never be broke,” he said.

He urged all his fans to get his latest single ‘Nsa’. The official music video for the song is also currently trending on Youtube.

Eazzy was one of the early artiste’s signed on to Richie’s Lynx entertainment in 2009. She was however, officially handed over to broadcaster cum designer Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) in 2012.

“When Eazzy left, for two weeks I was always weeping. I wept because that was the time he (Richie) parked his car and shot a video for Eazzy; the ‘Go Go Wind’. I Want To Be Like Daddy Lumba And Amakye Dede – Sarkodie

Sarkodie talks about future plans

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie praises legendary highlife singer, Charles Kwadwo Fosu aka Daddy Lumba. Furthermore, this is about his consistency in the music business.

Moreover, he made these statements at the 5th edition of All Africa Music Awards launch in Accra. He stated that legends like Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, and Amakye Dede have failed to release hit songs in recent times. However, they still charge huge sums of money . This is due to the good songs they released years back.

Also, according to him, he believes the ‘Awoso’ singer and his colleagues released timeless songs. These songs will never die from the system and that is why they still get thousands attending their concerts.

Furthermore, Sark revealed that Lumba sometime past told him that musicians of today are focused on going international. Therefore, they forget that they need to conquer the country before getting the outside recognition they want.

Therefore, he advised his colleagues to work on building followers in Ghana instead of the cash.

Moreover, the Sarkcess Music boss stated that

“I want to end up like Daddy Lumba who won’t sing the whole year but can wake up any month and organize shows and will still take any amount maybe I (Sarkodie) cannot charge. He still rocks big shows without any hit song.

They are extremely painful depending on where you get it. Some are painful some are not. I don’t know if I should say this on TV, but whenever I am having a tattoo, I get orgasms. I was worried; this is out of this world. I read about it and apparently it is natural.”

PHOTOS: Joselyn Dumas Donates CCTV Devices To Korle-Bu Pediatric Block

Awards-winning Ghanaian actress and Broadcaster, Joselyn Dumas has donated CCTV to the Children’s/Pediatric Block of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

On Friday, May 18, Joselyn and her foundation, The Joselyn Canfor-Dumas Foundation (JCD)  Officially handed-over installed and fully functional CCTV Cameras to the Children’s department of the hospital.

The installation of the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) devices at the Children’s block, will augment security. It’ll go a long way to help management and staff to monitor the daily activities of the block.

The CCTV devices will help prevent cases of baby theft and pilfering which is very rampant at the wards. It will as well as help check irregularities perpetrated by guardians and staff at the health facility.

This kind gesture by Joselyn Canfor-Dumas Foundation (JCD) followed a request by management of the facility earlier this year.

Management of the department had earlier this year appealed to help install CCTV cameras in all the wards.

As expected, the co-host of ‘Drive Time’ on Joy FM on Friday did not turn them down but has honored their plea.

Miss Dumas facilitated the installation of the devices at the wards in the company of some associates.

Professor Lorna Renner, a consultant at the Department of Child Health Department, received the devices on behalf of the Head of Department who was absent during the presentation.

She was grateful to Joselyn Dumas for the immense support while noting that the devices will ensure the safety of children on the wards.

“Children are very vulnerable…someone could take a child away. Workers are sometimes assaulted…This will also deter people from pilfering…The CCTV cameras are really valuable,” Professor Renner stressed.

Each ward at the Child Health Department has cameras fixed with a central monitoring point manned by the hospital’s I.T experts.

Joselyn Dumas was delighted she met the expectations of the hospital’s management and pledged to do more.

The media personality also encouraged individuals and groups to offer any kind of support to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

JDC, among many other charities, continues to finance the education of smart but underprivileged children around the country. It also spearheaded the widely known #Xcholera, an effective campaign organized to eradicate Cholera in Ghana a few years ago.

On New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, 2018, Joselyn along with the JCD Foundation and family, organised a fun-filled party in collaboration with Think Mahogany Events by Debra Jane for the Children’s/Pediatric Block.

The purpose of the party was to bring the cheers of the festive celebrations to the hospitalized children and their families.

Men Need Six Packs To Keep Ladies Of Today – Prince David Osei

Just some few years ago, a man would do anything to get a ‘pot belly’. This was because, pot bellies were seen as a sign of wealth and ladies loved men with it.

However, a visit to any gym these days shows even old men vigorously training for good health and most importantly, ‘six packs’.

Oh yea, the six pack guys are now reigning because the ladies have shifted their ‘love’ there. Just be a good looking guy with six packs. You’ll surely get that ‘ hot chick’ in your area your pot bellied friends have been trying without effort to have.

It’s almost like how the men these days prefer ‘curvaceous’ or endowed women. They want their women, even after birth to workout for slim waist and flat stomach.

Now both single ladies and married women expect their man to have a well- built body: six packs, flat stomach and some upper body muscle, just to show off.

The sad part is that, even most of the ladies still with the pot belly men are just there for the money which they’re also spending on their six pack guys. Funny right?

It’s therefore not surprising that actor and runway model, Prince David Osei has categorically stated that men with pot bellies risk being dumped for those with six packs.

According to him, women currently want men who are physically built and have been able to keep their shape and not men with pot bellies.

“As a man, while growing up you need to keep the shape together. The ladies now want men who have six packs and have been able to keep their shape together. They want to feel the cut behind your waist when they hug you if not your woman may leave you for a man who has it”. He told Nana Ama McBorwn on the latest episode of ‘McBrown’s Kitchen’ s TV show.

MzBel Expresses Her Regrets At Supporting John Mahama And His NDC

Hiplife artiste, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has expressed her regrets at supporting and ‘sacrificing’ her career for former President John Mahama and his NDC team.

According to the songstress, she ignored every ‘insults’ and put her career on the line for the NDC party during the 2016 election. However, not even a single member of the party has come to pay her a visit since she got involved in a an accident few days ago.

About two weeks ago, Ghaflagh.com reported that the singer had been involved in a quad cycle accident at the Labadi beach.

As a result, she has been temporarily bedridden. This was two days before mothers’ day which she celebrated in bed with her children at home.

Mzbel, who feels rejected by the NDC and John Mahama took to her Facebook page to express her regrets.

She lamented over how the very political party (NDC) she supported had ignored her.

She added that, the NPP party for which she was rather against has shown her love as compared to the NDC. According to Mzbel, she was paid a visit by Hon. Tina Naa Ayeley Mensah, Deputy Health Minister and MP for Weija-Gbawe Constituency. This she bemoaned was the very woman she had vigorously campaigned against.

She wrote:

“For the love of my political party NDC, I offended a lot of people, jeopardised my career and was verbally abused, but that didn’t deter me to keep fighting for what I believed in.

It’s sad that I’m temporarily stuck in bed now due to a minor accident and not even a phone call or text message from any of the people I genuinely supported, to wish me well… And the amazing fact is that Honourable Tina Mensah, mother for my constituency, the woman I strongly campaigned against rather visited me yesterday when she heard about the accident.

I am learning my lessons and I’d also want to appreciate madam MP for the love and care, even though we were on different sides, God bless you… You are just too real ??*Teary Eyes*

If i had died, the story would have been different with big speeches and donations… Oh my people!”
