Ebony’s Management To Visit Her Graveside With Awards

Bullet has plans for Ebony’s awards.

The management of Ebony plan to visit her gravesite.

Furthermore, last Saturday, Ebony won four awards including Artiste of the Year at the VGMAs.

However, according to Ebony Reigns’ father, her management treated her poorly.

Therefore, it looks weird that this same management plans to pay a visit to the graveside.

Management about visiting of Ebony’s grave site

The assistant manager of the late Ebony Reigns, Allen Kofi Anti spoke in an interview on Onua FM.

“We shall go to the graveside…We shall plan and let the public know when we are going”.

Also, he was questioned on the whereabouts of the fours awards.

There Is No Unity In The Music Industry – Obour

President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour best known as Obour has stated that there’s no unity in the Ghana music industry.

According to him, that is one of the key weaknesses facing the music industry. He however acknowledged that the industry is full of potentials which he considers as strength but engulfed with several weaknesses as well.

Obour made this revelation at the maiden edition of Zylofon Music industry party.  He was talking on the strengths and weaknesses of the music industry.

In a report by Attractivemustapha.com, Obour noted that for every industry to grow, there’s the need for some key elements. These he stated include; a certain level of unity, direction, properly laid down structures among other necessities.

“Because the industry and it’s bodies are not very united it doesn’t help the industry in collective bargaining”, Obour said.

He added that another major challenge facing the industry is that the players do not boast of their own.

“There’s another challenge that I don’t know how to theme, it’s the fact that Ghana as a country does not boast of its own. Ghana is one of the few countries that play more foreign content on radio stations than local songs”, he added.

Obour suggested that the institutional framework and the laws guiding the industry must be reviewed. This, according to him will help solve these problems.

I’m Disappointed In Amanpour – DKB

DKB wades into the Christiane Amanpour brouhaha.

Comedian, DKB expresses his resentment towards CNN’s International Correspondent, Christiane Amanpour. Furthermore, this was about her defence of controversial actress Moesha Buduong.

Last week, Moesha Buduong in an interview with Christiane Amanpour said she sleeps with married men for her livelihood. Moreover, this was due to the sate of the economy in Ghana.

However, the statement didn’t go down well with Ghanaians. It stirred anger against the actress.

Furthermore, Christiane Amanpour was against the backlash towards the actress.

According to her, women everywhere should be able to speak freely about sex and love.

However, DKB responded to Amanpour’s statement. He said he is highly disappointed in the journalist for calling Moesha a courageous person for opening up about her love life to the world.

Moreover, he questioned if Amanpour would have had the guts to call Moesha a courageous person if she had slept with her husband.

DKB’s comments about Christiane Amanpour

“I’m very disappointed in you for calling somebody who sleeps with married men courageous. Christiane Amanpour, if it had been your husband that Moesha was sleeping with, will you call Moesha courageous? Adultery is frowned upon by the law in Ghana and America so why will you call somebody who sleeps with people’s husbands courageous. Really?”

“Who has time to attack Moesha really? We have laws in this country, we are guarded by laws. This is not a jungle, the image you have been painting of us, poor people living with houseflies on their nose, we are not in a jungle. We have laws so nobody will attack Moesha, for what? Who will attack Moesha when Obinim is busy speaking Chinese for us to hear.”

“Hosting This Years’ VGMAs Meant The World To Me” – Berla Mundi

Media personality cum model, Berla Adarddey, best known as Berla Mundi has disclosed that hosting the 19h edition of the Ghana Music Awards “meant the world” to her.

Berla did a splendid job hosting the VGMAs which came of last Saturday alongside actor, John Dumelo.  In previous years, she was one of the hosts for the Red Carpet sessions of the awards scheme.

Speaking to Showbiz, Miss Adarddey expressed gratitude to the organizers of the awards for giving her the opportunity to host Ghana’s biggest music awards event.

It meant the world. This is my biggest stage ever since I started,” an excited Berla said.

“And it just meant that Charterhouse, VGMA and Ghana at large had come to accept me as someone they could trust enough to host such an event and so it meant the world to me. I’m always grateful for that,” she added.

Berla revealed that one thing that made her excel that night was not concentrating on her mistakes. Instead she focused on how to make the night one unforgettable one for not only herself but Ghanaians at large.

“I’ve always been a positive person, and so instead of thinking of the mistakes I could make, I was rather thinking of how I could make this the most memorable night for myself and Ghanaians as well.”

She however disagreed with assertions on social media that  her co-host, John Dumelo performed poorly on the night. According to her; they “gelled really well. I think we did absolutely fantastic.”

Berla expressed her appreciation to Charterhouse, Vodafone and the Ghana Music Awards team for trusting her to host the show.

She was optimistic about doing “better” should she be asked to host the next edition in 2019.

Meanwhile, Ebony made history as the first female to win the ultimate – ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the 19th edition of the awards scheme which was held under the theme “Our Music Beyond Borders.”

Patapaa Has No Talent, He’s Just A Joker And I’ll Never Do A Collaboration With Him — Fancy Gadam

Fancy Gadam speaks out.

Northern based Hiplife artiste, Fancy Gadam has more words for Pataapa. Moreover, according to him, Pataapa is a joker and untalented artiste.

Furthermore, he said if he does a collaboration with him, it would be the biggest mistake of his life.

Total Cheat ‘beat’ Patapaa to win the ‘Most Popular Song’ of the year award.

However, Patapaa was disappointed when the award went to Fancy Gadam.

Furthermore, Patapaa stated that he had the award because Charter House collected ‘stupid’ money from Fancy Gadam.

The Northern based star responded to Patapaa’s bribery allegation. He explained that any of the artistes in that category could have won the award so for Patapaa to accuse Charterhouse of bribery is kind of weird to him.

Gadam made these statements on Bola Ray’s Starr Chat Show on Starr FM

“Patapaa is not talented, I’ll not waste my time doing a collaboration with him. I’ll not put Patapaa on my song, he’s a joker he’s not a musician.”

Patapaa Renders Unqualified Apology To Charter House

Pataapa apologizes to Charter House.

Last week, during the VGMAs, Pataapa didn’t win any award. Furthermore, he was touted as the winner for Most Popular Song Of The Year. The reason was his song ‘One Corner’ was everywhere last year.

Moreover, when he lost, he granted an interview where he accused Charter House of bribery. He stated that they took a bribe to give the award away.

His statements generated a lot of heated arguments and debate. However, he apologised to the organizers for his words. He blamed anger for his unguarded and thoughtless words.

He said this in an interview on StarrChat with Bola Ray.

Moreover, Pataapa made the apology to Bola Ray.

“I apologize to Charterhouse, that very day I was not myself. My fans were sad and I was very disturbed as well. I felt like going out of the auditorium and the media pushed me to do an interview, I know I didn’t speak well. Please forgive me, I’m very sorry.”

Stonebwoy And Shatta Wale Can Never Be The Same – Epixode

Ghanaian dancehall artiste and performer, Episode, has said Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale can never be the same.

According to him, both artistes are unique in their own ways and are all masters in the game of music.

He insisted that both dancehall artistes are giving their followers and Ghanaians what is expected of them as far as music is concerned. As a result, he cannot place one above the other.

Epixode made these comments whilst speaking on the Class Drive on Class 91.3FM hosted by Prince Benjamin.

Epixode speaks;

“I will say that any dancehall artiste learned from people like Wale and Samini. I will say, Wale now has toned down his lyrics because he has given the people what they want but he is a very good lyricist that is what I can say about Wale.

“With Stonebwoy, I think he is still giving the people who he is. It doesn’t matter if the people need trash he is still giving them good music.

“So Wale can never be Stonebwoy and Stonebwoy can never be Wale so I just give respect to both of them.”

He further revealed that he was the brain behind the Logo of the Shatta Movement.

“I even designed the Shatta Movement logo, like eight years now. I was a protégé of Wale and anybody who has followed dancehall back to that time will really know what I am talking about,” he said.

Advantages Of Dental Flossing

Flossing is the process of cleaning the food particles between the teeth and gums. Furthermore, it’s using a special type of soft thread called dental floss. It is an important dental hygiene practice. Moreover, it is imperative to know the importance of flossing the teeth. This is to prevent embarrassment or inability to chew.

Usefulness of Dental Flossing

  • Flossing Prevents Teeth from Falling Out: Floss helps in removing the food bits that stick in between two teeth. Also, it helps to keep bacteria away from teeth. Flossing helps in preventing teeth from falling off by removing the root cause of gingivitis.
  • Flossing is Helpful in Preventing Heart Diseases:
When it comes to preventing heart disease, flossing is actually helpful. Studies have shown that there is a link between gum disease and serious health conditions. Often gum diseases are known to cause stroke, birth of low weight babies and heart diseases.
  • Flossing May Help in Preventing Dry Mouth
Saliva is one of the best natural disinfectants and without saliva bacteria gets a chance to affect gum and teeth. When there is insufficient saliva secretion, flossing helps in removing the food bits that saliva is unlikely to kill bacteria in those food bits due to insufficient saliva secretion.
  • Flossing Helps in Saving Money: Because flossing helps to prevent bacteria growth, it helps to reduce cavities and other dental problems. This not only keeps you healthy but also save your time and money by reducing unnecessary cost on dental treatment.

Manasseh Azure Responds To Christiane Amanpour’s Defence Of Moesha Boduong

Moesha’s story isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

CNN reporter, Christiane Amanpour penned a letter to Ghanaians over the treatments to Moesha Boudong. However, a lot of people didn’t appreciate her letter. Moreover, a lot of people thought it was hypocritical of her.

Amanpour said Moesha was entitled to her opinion. Therefore, she should not be judged for simply speaking her truth.

Furthermore, Manasseh Azure responds with a lengthy piece slamming her take.

Read Manasseh’s response to Christiane Amanpour’s letter

Dear Christiane Amanpour,

I have read your article in defence of Moesha Boduong, one of the people you interviewed in Ghana as part of your documentary on love and sex around the world. Your article is addressed to Ghanaians, especially the media.

You expressed your outrage at the outcome of the said interview, the condemnation Moesha has received following the publication of excerpts of your series. You wrote:

“As a woman and a journalist, I’m hurt and angry to see such an innocent woman condemned by the press and by many people on social media in this way. It’s to the point that Moesha is not sure she can return to Ghana safely. I am so surprised to see this happening in Accra, a city that has rightly got so much attention recently for being one of the most economically and politically successful capitals in Africa. Indeed I was heartened while I was in Accra, listening to a speech by the President himself, defending the rights of the free press to report fully, accurately and fairly…”

More of the letter

First of all, I want to assure you that there is freedom of speech in Ghana. And what the president said is a true reflection of the reality. You can trust the President when he talks about freedom of speech. He repealed the Criminal Libel Law when he was the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice. And he appears committed to passing the Right to Information Law before he ends his term as President of Ghana. So he was not lying in that speech you heard.

Ghana constantly ranks higher than the United States in the annual Press Freedom Index compiled by Reporters Without Borders. In 2017, for instance, Ghana ranked 26th while the United States ranked 43rd. So there is free expression in Ghana.

Besides, don’t make this a woman thing. Like the Archbishop rightly told you, women are free here. There is no state-sponsored discrimination against women. Taboos that inhibit the development of women are fought and criminalized by the state. Men who say stupid things about women often get unanimous condemnation from both men and women.

Women in Ghana seem to have more unfettered freedom of expression than men these days. Men have to be extremely politically correct in the wake of the feminist movements. Women get away with comments that would get men into trouble.

We had our Music Awards last weekend. While Samini, one of the best musicians in Ghana, performed, a radio and TV show host tweeted that anytime she saw the energy Samini exuded on stage, she imagined him in bed.

Comment on the picture

This passed without any furore. I can assure you that if that statement had been made by a man in Ghana, hell would have come tumbling onto mother earth. So the reaction that greeted Moesha’s interview had nothing to do with she being a woman. Let’s get into the substance of the discussion.

Amanpour, if you will be truthful to yourself and your conscience, you will realize that much of the condemnation resulted from her generalisation and the lies about Ghanaian women.

Moesha did not limit the conversation to her lifestyle. She suggested in your interview that the economy of Ghana was so hard that a woman could not earn a decent livelihood:

“Ghana, it’s like our economy is just such in (sic) a way that you just need someone to take care of you… You can’t make enough money as a woman here. Because even when you want to get an apartment in Ghana, they take two years’ advance and I just started working. Where will I get money to pay for an apartment for two years?”

Obaapa Christiane, that’s where the problem is. Moesha told you a lie when she said a woman in Ghana couldn’t make enough money to take care of her needs. It is not true. It’s a lie. And Ghanaians had to point that out.

Letter continued

Of course, I understand your pain. Moesha’s lie fits into your stereotypical narrative and the unfortunate generalisation and characterisation of Ghanaians, whom you describe in the promo as “Sunday morning saints and busy sinning the rest of the week.” The more we expose the weakness of Moesha’s claim, the more the credibility of your own story suffers.

Have you asked yourself why nobody condemned the confession by the woman you interviewed together with Moesha? She spoke for herself. Moesha spoke for others.

Amanpour, when Moesha told you she had to give in to the s*xual demands of her man even if she was sick, you exclaimed, “Holy cow!” Why did you exclaim if she was just expressing her s*xuality? It is not a lifestyle that is okay to you, judging from your reaction. And it certainly is not right with others.

There is also a video of you advising Moesha before you parted company. In that video, you, Christiane Amanpour, said to her, “ When you have your own daughter, good luck, teach her to be free and independent.”

Why should she not teach her daughter to live the kind of life she was living if everything was okay with it? Or are you telling us you have the right to see something wrong with that lifestyle and advise Moesha, but those of us who live with her here cannot express an opinion even after she tarred all Ghanaian women with the same shameful brush?

Continued

There is a saying in Ghana that “everyone loves a fool but no one wants him for a son.” In this case, you loved the content Moesha gave you but, as someone who is known to have empowered women with your influence, you were not proud of her as a person. So you held her hands and advised her, like a mother would advise her daughter.

If there’s any judgment, you started it. You basically told her this: This lifestyle is shameful. Your daughter should not do what you’re doing. Teach her to be different. She must not be in this bondage of s*x to survive. She must be free.

It smacks of double standards on your part to disapprove of a lifestyle and condemn Ghanaians who also disapprove of it.

And if any of you male colleagues at CNN told you that he sleeps with another man’s wife, would you commend or condemn his behaviour? Why do you want Ghanaians to think it is normal in Moesha’s case?

As a journalist who has travelled widely across Ghana, I will be the first to admit that our economy is not what we are proud of as Ghanaians. I will also be the first to admit that finding a job is a difficult task, but it is not limited to women. In the midst of this difficulty, however, Ghanaian women are some of the most resilient and enterprising you can find anywhere in the world.

Continued

There are many women who are single-handedly taking care of families while contributing significantly to the growth of this nation. From the markets to the farms to the corporate world and in public service, women in Ghana are excelling with their brains and talents and physical strength. Some of those women have no basic education.

When I was in the journalism school, there was a lady called Florence Adjokatcher. She was from a financially distressed background and supporting her education was difficult. This lady ignored the scornful eyes and mocking mouths of colleagues and set up a joint on campus where fried yam and sold to her colleagues. In Ghana, that job is meant for people who have not been to school. But that was what Florence did to pay her fees. She graduated with first class. As a young woman, she could have chosen to sleep with men to pay her fees, and use poverty as an excuse.

If Moesha, a university graduate, tells you that the only way to survive as a woman in Ghana is to sell her vagina to someone’s husband, it is not representative of the reality in this country. Ghanaians have the right to reject that assertion.

And for your information, this is not the first time Moesha has spoken openly about her s*x life. Go on YouTube and type “Delay Interviews Moesha Boduong.” They spoke mainly Twi so get yourself an interpreter. She said more damning things about her sexuality in that interview than what she told you. Whoever selected her for you to interview probably watched that interview or knew how she made a living. It was not a new revelation in Ghana, except her generalisation.

Ending the letter

In that interview, she revealed her taste for good living kept rising, so if at any point in time, a man was not able to cope up with her increasing demands, she often moved on to someone richer, who could afford to fund such lifestyle.

In that interview, she spoke about her life. Ghanaians did not charge at her because she did not suggest that was the life of all Ghanaian women. In your interview with her, she had the right to say what she said. Ghanaians had the right to agree or disagree with her, to commend or condemn her pronouncements.

And if Moesha tells you she’s afraid to come to Ghana, it is not strange. Admittedly, the economy of Ghana is hard. People who would not want to make it the hard way will look for the least opportunity to emigrate. Someone like Moesha, whose lifestyle is not sustainable beyond a certain age, has a “good” reason look for greener pastures elsewhere before her stock in trade expires, before her raw materials sag and wrinkle. You can help her to resettle for those reasons if you so wish and care, but Ghana is safe.

As an investigative journalist who does hard-hitting stories and articles that have landed people in jail and sometimes hurt the most powerful in this country, I find it extremely laughable for Moesha to pour her heart out to Amampour about her safety because she talked about s*x. She probably takes herself more seriously than we do.

Video: Afia Schwar Finally Exposes Mysterious Man She Was Caught In Bed With In Her Cheating Scandal

Media Personality Afia Schwarzenegger was involved in a sex scandal last year when her estranged husband caught her red handed in their matrimonial bed with another man.

It therefore became the greatest desire of many to know the identity of the man who was so courageous to sleep with  a married woman in her matrimonial home.

Many journalists and writers tried their best to uncover the mysterious man in the video which went viral.

However, tried as they did, no one was able to discover the man as Afia did well to hide his identity from the public.

Luckily for that man, the room was dark, and his dark complexion saved him, so we didn’t get to see his face in the video. He also managed to run out of the room, with a blanket covering his face. However, the only hint he left everyone was his bald hair and mustache.

Surprisingly or not, the  mysterious man in Afia Schwar’s sex scandal has popped up. How?, Well, it seems after what Moesha Boduong said in her inter with CNN, Afia has gathered the courage to showcase her ‘man’ to the world.

Afia Schwarzenegger herself has recorded and shared a video in which proudly introduces the mysterious man as her ”Baby’.

“Hi girls, this is my baby, you guys have been looking for the guy in the video, you’re looking at him,” she said and later goes ahead and throws a jab at Moesha.

Stop Spending Too Much Money On Dresses For Red Carpets, Invest Them – Baby Blanche To Slay Queens

Ghanaian actress, Baby Blanche has advised her colleagues in showbiz to stop spending too much money on dresses for red carpets.

Baby Blanche believes that, it is better for a woman to invest and be financially independence. This according to her goes to all women, whether single, married or is yet to marry.

According to her, it makes no sense to spend huge sums of money on a dress just for a day when the same amount can buy several bricks for a project.

Blanche, who was speaking on the latest episode of Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix noted that it’s very good for a public figure to look attractive when stepping out for an event. She believes it’s part of the showbiz package, however, she quickly added that looking beautiful does not mean spending huge sums of money on an outfit.

The ‘Hot Fork’ actress further stressed that since we do not wear dresses with their price tags, it’s better for one to cut their coat according to their cloth.

She advised the ‘slay queens’ out there not to borrow clothes for events just to look flashy. This according to her is  because several rich women who can afford expensive outfits are at their ‘one corner’.

Asked why she is mostly not seen slaying on red carpets as her counterparts do always, she replied that she has several clothes but she is not used to the new trend of slaying.

The actress and producer of ‘Trophy’ movie revealed that she is working on her building. Hence will not spend cash on high-priced textiles since that’s not her priority for now.
