Disable Federation To Sue Shatta Wale Over ‘Insult’

The Ghana Federation of Disability (GFD)Organization has made their intention known to sue self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale.

The organization has threatened to drag the ‘No Mercy For The Cripple’ crooner for reportedly insulting Stonebwoy on his Facebook page as a disabled person.

In an interview with Mike 2 on Adom entertainment hall last Saturday, the

The GFD president, Ofori Debrah, gave the hint in an interview with Mike 2 on Adom entertainment hall last Saturday.

According to him, if Shatta Wale does not render an apology over the said pronouncements, they would take legal action against him. This he said is because, they see his utterances as an insult to all Persons With Disabilities(PWD).

“We see it as an insult on all of us and as such, we are going to use article 191 of the disable Act to file a case against him”, he threatened.

He however maintained that they would first write a letter of caution to Shatta to come out and render an unqualified apology to them and Stonebwoy to avoid any legal suits.

Mr. Ofori further that they have delayed in taking legal actions. But that’s because they were waiting for Stonebwoy to first take action before they follow.

Meanwhile, the station reported that when Stonebwoy was contacted on the issue, he said he was not going to comment on it.

But all attempts to contact Shatta Wale has proved futile as well.

Beef

Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah and his nemesis, Stonebwoy(Livinstone Etse Satekla) have been in a ‘beef’ for as long as we can remember.

However, Shatta Wale recently took to his Facebook wall and backlashed Stonebwoy, calling him a cripple.

He even went as far as composing a song dubbed ‘No Mercy For The Cripple’ to diss the latter.

This follows an interview in which ‘Stonebowy’ said he is lyrically and ‘musically’ better than Shatta Wale.

Meanwhile, it seems the two acts have finally burry the hatchet over the weekends.

They were seen laughing and conversing with the CEO of Zylofon Media in Kumasi during the Akwasidae Festival.

I’m Very Disappointed In GTP For Unveiling Ebony’s Cloth – Lilwin

It is always said and has on several occasions been proved that Ghanaians love to worship the dead.

Perhaps, this is how actor cum musician, Kwadwo Nkansah feels in relation to the Ghana Textiles Print(GTP) Limited unveiling cloths for the late Ebony Reigns.

According to him, he is disappointed in the company for only reaching out after the death of the young songstress.

“I’m much disappointed in GTP for unveiling cloths for Ebony after she is dead. They did not support her or manufacture cloths for her when she was alive…GTP could have supported Ebony’s brand the time she was alive. Ghanaians would only use celebrities to sell their products when we are dead”.

“Look at M.anifest, he is always in African print but they will not use him until he is gone before they realize that he was into African prints”, he bemoaned.

Lilwin was speaking in an interview with Koo Fori on Koforidua-based Bryt 99.1 FM.

Background

GTP signed an agreement with the family of the late musician, Ebony born Pricilla Opoku Kwarteng, and produced clothes in her memory.

One of the cloths with the black and red colors bears the name  ‘Maame Hw3’. The other one is ‘Aseda’

Ghanaians can use the Ebony cloths on any other occasion in order to keep the legacy of Ebony alive. This is  according to the family.

Meanwhile, Ebony cloths are still available for purchase from any cloths sellers outlets across the country.

Stop Re-Branding Highlife To Dancehall And Afropop – Rex Omar Tells Young Artistes

Chairman for the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO)  Rex Omar has started a campaign to make the highlife genre has a strong Ghanaian identity.

The highlife legend has lamented how the young artistes are refusing to associate themselves with the highlife brand. This according to him is because they perceive it to be an old-fashioned genre.

He maintained that dancehall and the afropop songs released by these promising artistes have Highlife contents in them so should be under the highlife genre.

The ‘Habiba’ crooner disclosed his campaign would focus more on organizing fora and meeting stakeholders. So as to possibly brainstorm on how to make Highlife genre appealing to young artistes, presenters and Djs.

Rex Omar’s speech

“Why can’t we expand the genre of Highlife brand and put the sub genres of Ghanaian music under Highlife after all we will not be the only country to first do that. When you talk about Reggae, they have root rock, ragga, dancehall, lovers rock and still call all these Reggae so we can do same.

Any form of Ghanaian music should be put under the highlife brand so that the youth and all musicians can develop and in that scenario.  Then we’ll claim our own Highlife title and use the Highlife banner to propel our traditional music.

When you listen to their new type of songs they release everyday, it’s Highlife but some of them are calling it dancehall and afropop. Shatta has created his own type of Highlife because we’ve all ignored the Highlife music in a way.

The young artistes see the Highlife genre as an old school and outmoded and they don’t want to associate with it. You can’t play Agbadza and call it Dancehall and you can’t play Highlife and call it dancehall.” Rex Omar said.

Rex Omar made these comments in an interview with Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM last Saturday.

Kwadwo Nkansah tells his side of the story.

Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win rubbished the claims of his fellow Kumawood actor. Furthermore, according to Kwaku Manu, Lil Win conspired with movie producers to sabotage his movie career.

Therefore, Lil Win’s comments come after it was rumoured that he had a secret meeting with some influential movie producers. This was to sideline his colleague, Kwaku Manu from movies.

According to Nkansah, movie producers are the final decision makers as to whether an actor or actress should be featured in a particular movie and not him. Therefore, for someone to spread this falsehood is a bit confusing to him.

“I have heard this for a while now but I wish to establish once and for all that I don’t have the right or power to tell any movie producer to sideline Kwaku Manu.

Supposing I am sabotaging Kwaku Manu as widely speculated, how will that benefit me. Disregard those rumours as they are all false.”

7 Awesome Ways To Use Watermelon

Watermelon is a delicious, refreshing as well as thirst-quenching fruit. Watermelon is a great source of carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and vitamins A, C, and B. In addition, it has potassium together with other important minerals, like iron, calcium, phosphorous, and magnesium. It also contains organic acids, enzymes, and natural sugars as well. The water content in this fruit is also extremely useful in keeping your body hydrated during the summer. There are different ways you can enjoy your watermelon.

Below are seven of such awesome ways;

1. Aqua fresca:

Blend about four cups of cubed, seedless watermelon with one to two tablespoons of simple syrup or sugar, and then strain solids out through a sieve as you pour the mixture into a pitcher. Then add two cups of cold water.

2. Yogurt parfait: Layer chunks of watermelon with granola and plain yogurt. Drizzle with honey if desired.

3. Summer smoothie: Add frozen watermelon cubes to a blender with some nonfat plain yogurt, strawberries, coconut water and a drizzle of agave syrup.

4. Margarita: Blend frozen watermelon cubes with some tequila, lime and Triple Sec.

5. Granita: Blend watermelon chunks with a little lime juice and sugar, pour into a pan, and place in the freezer. After about an hour, take a fork and scrape the top frozen part to make crystals. Place it back in the freezer and repeat the scraping every half hour or so, until it’s the right consistency.

6. Fancy ice cubes:

Freeze cubed watermelon with a little water and mint into ice cube trays for a refreshing – and pretty – addition to iced tea.

7. Popsicle:

Cut blocks of watermelon, stick an ice-cream stick into the end, and freeze into watermelon pops.

Photos: Nana Appiah Mensah Finally Resolves Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy ‘Beef’?

I don’t think anyone needs an introduction to the ‘beef’ between Ghanaian dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

The two stars have been in the news for a while now due to their rivalry. It even got worse when they both got signed onto the same record label, Zylofon media.

Stonebwoy recently released a song dubbed ‘Dirty Enemies’ believed to be a diss at Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale on the other hand also dropped his titled ‘No Mercy For The Cripple’ and we all understood his message.

Many Ghanaians have therefore been worried about the rivalry between these two acts. Some believe it’s a healthy competition for the music industry. Others on the other hand also maintain that it’s rather destroying their careers and the industry as a whole.

However, it looks like their ‘father’ CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has been able able calm the storm between these two artistes.

Nana Appiah and his Zylofon Media Family on Sunday graced the Akwasidae festival of the Asantes in Kumasi.

All Zyofon artistes, including Shatta Wale and Stonebowy were spotted at the events ground.

However, what has caught the attention of many Ghanaians are some photos of the two artistes with Nana Appiah.

The two artistes were seen chatting and laughing heartily with Nana Appiah holding their hands whilst standing in between them.

Many Ghanaians have since expressed joy seeing these two acts together. Others too congratulated Nana Appiah for his relentless efforts in making peace between these two artistes.

Some also prayed for peace to remain between them.

I Didn’t Kill My Mother For Rituals – Maame Serwaa

Kumawood star, Clara Benson popularly known as Maame Serwaa has debunked claims that she killed her mother for rituals.

Maame Serwaa’s mother passed on early December last year after a short illness.

However, shortly after her demise, there were rumors that the young actress  is a member of Illuminati hence sacrificed her mum for rituals.

The rumors further had it that she had bought a new car just after the death of her mother.

However, speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Delay Show’, the 18-year-old actress denied ever using her mother for money rituals.

She added that she never bought any car after her mother passed on. According to her, she doesn’t even have any car but rather, it is in her recently signed contract that she will get a car from.

“It is never true. Kill my mum for what? I was accused of killing my mum a few days after she died.

The accuser did not even wait for us to finish her one-week memorial service. It was alleged that one ‘osofo maame’ came up with the claims. Another pastor also said I was a member of Illuminati. I don’t even know what an Illuminati is. I don’t even own a car”, she told Delay.

Background

Maame Serwaa lost her mother on Thursday, December 7 to a short illness according to reports.

Few days after that, one Prophetess Donkor accused the young actress of using her mother’s blood for sacrifice.

According to her, it was revealed to her that the young actress killed her mother for sacrifice. This she said is because she wants fame and money.

Another Kumasi based ‘pastor’ also claimed that she is a member of a secret society thus she (Maame Serwaa) used her mother for sacrifice to get a new rank in the group.
