Judgement In Wisa Gried’s Case Set For April 25

An Accra Circuit Court has fixed April 25 to deliver its judgement in respect of the case of Eugene Ashie aka Wisa Gried.

Wisa Gried is a hiplife artiste who has been accused of displaying his penis while performing on stage.

The court was presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku. She has ordered Mr Jerry Avernogbor, Wisa’s counsel to file his address by April 10.

This was after prosecution had ended its cross examination of Sylvanus Mawuli Ahiagble, a defense witness.

Earlier, Defence counsel led Ahiagble to testify before the court.

The defense witness also happens to be an artiste. He told the court that he and Wisa planned to have publicity stunt since they were new in the music industry. That was on December 24, 2016.

According to the defense witness the plan was that Wisa was going to pull out a fake manhood on stage.

Ahiagble, however, said he stood behind the stage. Hence he did not witness Wisa executing the said plan.

Defense witness said Wisa never displayed his manhood but a doodle.

This was an answer to a cross examination by Prosecution Chief Inspector Judith B. Asante.

The defense witness again mentioned that before Wisa’s incident, he had recorded a couple of songs. And same could be verified via the internet.

Defense witness admitted that he and Wisa planned to deceive the public with the fake manhood.

Ahiagble said he would be surprised to hear that Wisa displayed his manhood and not doodle.

When asked why Ahiagble did not accompany Wisa to the Police station he told the court that the Police did not invite him.

Background

Wisa Gried, of the ‘Ekikimi’ fame, was arrested for allegedly exposing his penis in public. This was while he was performing at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on December 24, 2015.

He has, however, denied a charge of gross indecent exposure and is on a ¢8,000.00 bail with one surety.

On December 25, 2015, the Accra Regional Police was alerted over a nude video posted on the Internet from an unknown source, in which Wisa intentionally exposed his penis, while performing live on stage.

According to the Prosecution the Police contacted the managers of Artiste to produce him at the Regional Police Headquarters for investigations, which they did.

The prosecution said investigations into the matter disclosed that on December 24, Airtel Communications Company and Citi FM, an Accra-based radio station, organised an event dubbed: ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ which included the accused as a guest artiste.

In the course of the show, the accused, while dancing with a female dancer identified as Monica Kumadeh, suddenly removed his penis out of his pair of jeans and began to caress the buttocks of the dancer.

Few weeks ago, there were reports that AMG Record artiste, Medikal was cheating on girlfriend, Deborah Vanessa. The source? Simply because Medikal was seen posing in a photo with actress Fella Makafui.

However, things got to their peak when Medikal during an interview openly admitted that he and sister Derby were facing a rough time in their relationships.

As usual, the nemesis were happy and perhaps just praying for the break-up headlines. Unfortunately for these nemesis the two love birds are still together and even stronger than before.

Already, there are many who have a problem with the relationship as if it was any of their business. Their reason being that Sister Derby is older than Medikal.

Well, if that be the case, then these two have really proved that when there’s love, age doesn’t matter. They’ve resolved their issue and are seen love struck in this recent video.

Ghanaian dancehall artist, Kaakie hasn’t released a song in forever. Moreover, it seems it’ll be a while before we hear from her.

Furthermore, Kaakie real name Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey is out of the country. Apparently, it is to continue her education.

The ‘Too Much’ hitmaker holds a BSc Midwifery degree from University of Ghana. Therefore, she is pursuing her master’s degree.

Stonebwoy Says Nothing Can Stop Him From VGMA Jam Performance

Stonebwoy needs to clarify his stance.

Zylofon Media sent a letter addressed to Charter House. They are the organizers of the Ghana Music Awards. Furthermore, the letter suggests that Zylofon Music wants to sue Stonebwoy. This is for agreeing to perform at the VGMA nominees jam without the consent of management.

Moreover, in the letter, Zylofon Music sought to confirm if indeed Stonebwoy was performing for the VGMA nominees jam. The lawyers for Zylofon Music seek clarity about whether or not Charterhouse booked Stonebwoy for the Vodafone nominees jam as published by several web-portals.

However Stonewboy posted a photo on Instagram The photo suggest that he’s still performing at Friday’s VGMA Nominees Jams scheduled for Cape Coast on Friday. He tagged it ‘Unstoppable’.

It’s Only Heartless People Who Will Say We’re Doing Business With Ebony’s Death – Bullet

Ricky Nana Agyeman, manager of the Ebony Reigns,  has stated that anyone who says they’re doing business with the death of the 90’s Bad Gyal is heartless.

Family and management of the late Ebony unveiled three clothes for her final funeral rites.

The clothes were named after her songs, ‘Maame Hwe’ and ‘Aseda’.

Again, a tribute concert to raise funds for her foundation, will be held today

This will be immediately be followed by her final burial service on Saturday March,24.

The family and her management, headed by Bullet, have revealed that all these are in line with some of the dreams Ebony had whiles alive.

They want her legacy to live on forever, hence they’ve taking it upon themselves to fulfil some of her dreams in her honor.

However, there have been several unsavory comment from the public to the family and management.

According to some section of the public, her management, seeks to make profit from Ebony’s demise. This is particularly, following their idea to charge a fee of GH¢10 at the gate on Friday.

Most people claim do not understand why they’re charging for entrance fee when the artistes billed to perform are doing so free of charge.

Bullet has however, reacted to these comments in an interview with DJ Adviser on Happy FM’s Ayekoo Drive. He expounded on the reasons behind the whole event.

Bullet Speaks;

“…Ebony has always wanted to have a clothing line. You are being heartless if you say we are doing business with her death. Ebony is an artist so what is wrong with having a clothing line in her memory. If her fans want to buy then what is your problem. Why should it be mourning… mourning… mourning? Bullet quizzed.

The exasperated Bullet indicated that he is not the first person to have done this for a late artiste.

“Ebony is a big artiste and there has been lot of big musicians in the likes of Michael Jackson and many more, so why are Ghanaians thinking this way? We are just doing all this in the memory of Ebony.” He added.

Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng lost her life in a fatal accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway in February. She was returning to Accra after visiting her mother in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Meanwhile, her bodyguard, Lance Corporal Atsu Vondee is also to be buried on Saturday in the Volta Region.

Patapaa Lost A Ghc 250,000 Deal Due To His Indisciplined Behaviour — Former Manager

Pataapa needs guidance.

Viral sensation, Pataapa is in the news again. Furthermore, his manager says he exhibits unsavory characteristics. Moreover, according to his former manager, the fame he attained got into his head. Therefore, he started behaving with no discipline. Also, cancelling shows with no reason and ditching business meetings.

His manager is veteran artiste manager, Godfred Bopkin. He says the artist has one last chance to change his behaviour before he dumps him.

Patapaa’s behaviour cost manager, Godfred Bopkin, a huge deal.

“He does not understand how things work in the music industry and that is the reason for his behaviour. He used to be very humble when he was underground but that has changed and he surrounds himself with many different people now.

Because of his behaviour there was no way we could go forward with this [Ghc 250,000] deal.”

Therefore, Bopkin said Patapaa should wise up and change his behaviour otherwise he would leave him on his own.

Counselor Lutterodt Apologises To Yvonne Nelson

Counselor Lutterodt is remorseful.

Controversial relationship counselor, George Lutterodt issues an unqualified apology to Yvonne Nelson. Furthermore, this was about the derogatory comments about the actress. He made the apology on TV Africa’s morning show ‘’Breakfast live’’.

Last week, Lutterodt tagged the actress as a “disgraceful born one”. Therefore, he went on the same network to render a heartfelt apology to the movie director and producer.

Moreover, Ghanaians and industry players descended on Counselor Lutterodt on social media over comments to the actress. A lot of people said the comments were unnecessary.

Speaking to TV Africa’s Nikki Samonas, the self-acclaimed counselor Lutterodt said:

“To Yvonne Nelson, I say a very big sorry. The wording of the write-up, the conversation and video didn’t really match up, however since it has been said and has denigrated your brand, I sincerely apologize.’’

Furthermore, he added that he personally has no grudge against the actress. However, he reiterated that he makes comments based on the issues discussed.

“We didn’t sit here to say we are coming to mock Yvonne Nelson or talk about Yvonne, No! But usually and constantly when the issues come up and in the quest to addressing them those things come in line. So the headline that says “Ashawo” or ‘born one” isn’t what it is. If you play the video, that’s not what it is. However, once it was derogatory to Yvonne Nelson and has hurt her brand, I will want to use this same platform that was used, to apologize to her. Yvonne Nelson, I am sorry.’’

“Every statement that has been said, even if it wasn’t what the write-up says, I retract it.”

Video: A Meeting Between Agya Koo And Film Makers End In Chaos

There was a stakeholders meeting in Kumasi on March 20,2018 between a section of film makers and actor Agya Koo.

The meeting, which was purposely to find an alternative solution to revamp the Kumawood industry rather ended in a heated argument.

Agya Koo claimed he was recently called to be part of some key personalities in the creative arts industry. And has therefore been tasked to expedite action on resolving the movie industry challenges.

Agya Koo, who recently launched his Agya Koo Tv, urged movie producer to form an alliance. This alliance according to him, is to aid in creating one platform where all locally made movies would be uploaded on.

He added that this technological initiative is a pre-eminent choice to revive the ailing film industry.  And as well as support producers to recoup the huge sums of money they invest in their movies.

 “For me I’ve my own Agya Koo TV that is why I’m advising producers to team up and subscribe to one channel, where local movies will be uploaded and the returns come to us. That is the only option that can save our dying industry.”Agya Koo said.
However, some of the producers and directors were not in support of his digitization initiative.According to him, the monetisation of their movie contents is directed to a different source. Therefore film makers cannot influence that course.

“There are so many sabotages with regards to these online channels. Once we as film makers don’t have control over the search engine it becomes so difficult for the movies to be popular. We did a research to look out for online websites where Ghanaian movies are uploaded and we had 623 websites but the money doesn’t come to the owners of these movies.” One of the producers told Agya Koo.

The meeting was held at the Kumasi Culture Center.

Sarkodie Releases Song “Wake Up Call” (Road Safety) Featuring Benji

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie is out with another song. The song is ‘Wake Up Call’. Furthermore, it features Benji and produced by Willisbeats.

Moreover, the song “Wake Up Call” talks about Road safety. For the past couple of days, Sarkodie’s tweets have been about road safety. Also, he’s spoken about the death toll from road accidents. The passion about the subject is evident in the song.

Furthermore, this came about as he was reminiscing about the late Ebony. Therefore, this song is a tribute for her as it is a song for better safety.

Apparently, four people die each hour from road accidents. This is an unacceptable figure. Therefore, this will act as a clarion call for the authorities.

Captain Smart To Demonstrate Against Counselor Lutterodt

Adom FM’s Morning Show host,Godsbrain Smart, also known as Captain Smart says, he has had it from the controversial counselor, Rev. George Lutterodt.

According to the Radio presenter, he is fed up of hearing what he describes as ‘disrespectful’ utterances from the Counselor.

Hence, as as a way of showing his displeasure, he has served notice of an intention to stage a demonstration against the clamorous counselor.

Counselor Lutterodt is known for his ‘loud’ mouth and controversial issues. Among the many controversies surrounding him is one concerning female celebrities who have given birth out of wedlock.

He did not mince words when he categorically tagged these women as prostitutes. This is because, he strongly believes that such women are no different from commercial sex workers.
According to him, beautiful women who have kids out of wedlock make him sad as there is no excuse for any woman to have a baby when she is not married.

“Especially, not by virtue of marriage or the husband dead but by virtue of unprotected sexual intercourse…I feel so sad and I break down,” he said.

“Pregnancy is not an airborne disease so if you want to really have sexual intercourse and you are not ready to make babies why do you have sex unprotected with the excuse that she did not know what happened and she got pregnant? I feel so sad for human beings like that. It saddens my heart because when you are a role model and you don’t have any proper standard to use, it becomes a headache for me,” he posits.

Background

Counselor Lutterodt has however come under a lot of ridicule recently. This follows his scathing attack on actress and movie producer Yvonne Nelson.

One Ghanaian born musician based abroad, Chase has even come out to condemn his comment in relation to Yvonne.

Chase has promised to give $200 to anyone who would slap Counselor Lutterodt and send him [Chase] a video clip as evidence.

Though Captain Smart has condemned Chase’s ‘challenge’, the radio personality is ready to stage a demonstration against Counselor Lutterodt.

“When you begin to attack people thinking that will make you popular, I disagree. I will demonstrate against Counselor Lutterodt,” he said on Daybreak Hitz, Monday.

According to Captain Smart, he sees nothing wrong with giving birth out of wedlock. He however called on all to respect women.

“We should begin to respect women. The reason why the African man cannot be rich till his time of death is that we fail to respect women. Yvonne has committed no crime. David was born out of wedlock. I’m not glorifying that but if you’re my child and you beget out of wedlock, praise God; if you beget after marriage, praise God.” Captain Smart said.

We’re sure he’ll get more than a thousand people who will gladly join him in his demonstration. This is because, Counselor Lutterodt seems to have steeped on many toes since his appearance in the showbiz industry with his comments.

The month of March is the ‘Wear Ghana Month’.

Wear Ghana Month,” a national campaign to promote the country’s cloth cultural heritage and boost the local textile and fashion industries.

The launch for this year’s took place in Accra under the theme,“Wear Ghana to promote the fashion industry.”

This is to be celebrated every March, Ghana’s independence month. The campaign is in honour of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana who was passionate about the Ghanaian cultural heritage.

Spearheading the event are; the National Commission on Culture (NCC), the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and Street Fashion Train.

The month-long activity include a seminar for industry players, fashion show and exhibitions.

Other activities are a social media challenge which involves the public.

Here, the public are expected to flaunt their made in Ghana attires under the tag #wearghanamonth on all social media platforms. There will also be prizes and an awards ceremony to recognize various personalities for their contribution to the industry’s growth.

The month so far has been very ‘Ghanaian’. No coat, no International designer saga, only made-in Ghana products.

It has been all colorful one as social media was filled with Ghanaian products.

Many Ghanaians took turns to showcase their talents in the craft industry. A visit to the social media pages of some designers shows amazing products.

And when it come to the ‘slayers’ too, they never disappointed us.

One thing that was also predominant about the month was ‘Kente Weddings’

I call them ‘Kente Weddings’ because the couples indeed ‘Slayed’ in the Kente cloth.

This Video Of The Late Ebony And Her Father Cracking Jokes Will Bring Tears Into Your Eyes

The untimely death of the late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns has not only left many in shock. Her death has also had diverse effects on many Ghanaians including a few of those who were not even close to her.

Since her demise, no day has passed by without someone posting a video or photo(s) of the songstress. She’s celebrated every passing day by her fans, friends and family. Different photos and videos have clogged social media of the late songstress.

The latest video to catch the attention of Ghaflagh.com is one we’ve spotted on Instagram. Whilst alive, Ebony was noted to be a ‘Daddy’s Girl’. She and her father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng shared a very enviably strong bond. The two, probably run into each other in the video and began to crack jokes.

Ebony was captured sitting in a car and her father stands by her as they chat in the pidgin language laughing heartily.  It seemed one of them was coming in whiles the other was also going out.

The daddy is heard saying: “What goan” as if to ask her daughter “what’s going on?” or “how is it going?” But Ebony laughs at him, trying to tell him that she speaks better Pidgin than he does. Her father then responded, telling her that he is the 60’s good man, vs. the 90s badgyal as Ebony referred to herself. The two then break into deep laughter, and though it was a hearty moment, it is also a sad one, knowing that Ebony is no more to play with her dad.

It was hearty conversation which was concluded with Ebony telling her dad “I love you baby”. Yes, Ebony referred to her dad as ‘Baby’ when she was alive. Nana Poku also responded in the same way.Indeed, this video goes a long way to prove the strong bond that existed between the father and daughter. Sure, you’ll have tears in your eyes after watching this, knowing that Ebony Reigns is no more to put that smile on her daddy’s face.

Meanwhile, her tribute concert is coming off tomorrow March, 23 at the Trade Fair Center in Accra.

Stonebwoy Finally Reveals Why He Rushed To Wed His Wife

Dancehall act, Livingstone Etse Satekla, best known as Stonebwoy has finally disclosed why he rushed to wed his wife.

According to the new father, he rushed to marry his wife before she put to bed in order to avoid the popular ‘Baby Mama’ tag.

Stonebwoy and his wife, Dr. Louisa made headlined mid of 2017 with their marriage. However, it was widely speculated his girlfriend, as of that time was heavily pregnant. Hence many believed they were forced to hurriedly get married.

Stonebwoy came out and denied the story, claiming it was all hoax. However, barely six months after marriage, Mrs. Satekla miraculously gave birth to a baby girl.

Now his daughter is here and he has finally admitted what was reported long ago that he got married to cover up his girlfriend’s pregnancy.

Speaking with JoyNews’ MzGee, Stonebwoy revealed that he wanted to “save” the situation and himself the popular ‘baby mama’ tag. He therefore had to “rush” to wed Louisa first before the pregnancy became public.

Stonebwoy Speaks;

“This is my first child. No baby mama drama. I have always had it at the back of my mind to be able to build a family and grow it. I have to build my career besides my family so this is me having to be a responsible father and a married man. It is bigger than being a baby father. This is worth emulating,” he said.

The couple christened their first child a few days ago. The baby girl, Catherine Jidula Satekla was named after the late mother of the ‘My Name’ hitmaker.

Celebrity stylist and personal shopper, Nana Yaw popularly called Wardrobeyak married over the weekend. Moreover, the wedding was a star-studded ceremony. He married his beautiful girlfriend, Ama.

Furthermore, because he’s a stylist, everyone on his team looked dapper. He ditched the traditional monochrome style. However, he opted for a vibrant hue jacket, white shirt and chequered trousers for his white wedding.

Also, he wore a bow tie different from that of his groomsmen who looked dapper in patterned suits to support their friend.

Among the groomsmen was Ghanaian actor, TooSweet Annan.

The lovely bride competed fiercely with her stylish husband as she glowed in her stunning wedding gown.

Freda Rhymz Drops First Single Under Black Muzik Avenue

Nana Appiah Mensah Commence Nationwide Tour With NAM Mission

Nana Appiah Mensah takes his mission nationwide.

The NAM MISSION team founded by Nana Appiah Mensah visited the Western Region Of Ghana. Furthermore, they went there to embark on a welfare state activism.

About NAM Mission nationwide tour

Moreover, NAM Mission is a missionary team with the objectives of state welfare and development for national economic growth.

Also, in his bid to identify places and people who need development and welfare, the missionary team plan a national tour of fact-finding throughout the 10 regions of Ghana.

The tour started last weekend from the Western Region. Member of Parliament for Evalue Gwira and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Honourable Catherine Abelema Afeku hosted them.

Nana Appiah Mensah and his NAM mission team visited some areas of interest. They included the slave dungeon in Axim and an island, tourist sites including some educational facilities with the mindset of giving these places a facelift and refurbishment.

The chief of Winneba Neenyi Kobina Ghartey VII welcomed the team in his palace and asked them to support their Aboakyir festival which has international media appeal and market appeal.

 

The tour continues to the rest of the regions in the coming weeks.

Trigmatic Presents ‘Music Speaks’ Seminar

Trigmatic teaches about music.

The Matic Music informs the general public of its “Music Speaks” seminar. Moreover, it’s on 28th March, 2018 at 6pm at the Impact Hub, Accra.

Furthermore, the music seminar themed “Music and its role in building the Next Generation”.

Also, the Matic Music Club initiative under the Global Leaders’ Program seeks to educate the youth on the following topics:

  • Music as a pedagogical tool
  • New media and digital skills for online promotion
  • Music production
  • Music as a tourism tool

The speakers for the seminar include Ghanaian musicians and music theory production experts from Spain. The speakers are Víctor García Cano, Amparo Rejas García, and Iris Jugo Núñez-Hoyo.

Furthermore, other speakers are Trigmatic.

 

Former President Mahama Calls Out Pastor Mensa Otabil

Former President Mahama isn’t holding back.

Former President John Dramani Mahama launched a stinging attack on Pastor Mensa Otabil. He is the founder and leader of the International Central Gospel Church.

Furthermore, Mahama stated that Mensa Otabil had a lot to say when he was in power. However, now politics tires him. This is because his favourite party is in power. Therefore, he now watches ‘animals’ on tv.

Moreover, according to former President Mahama, Otabil is a hypocrite.

“Something is pardonable when one government is in power but when another is in power it’s unpardonable, things that the media would have been so loud about under my administration, it happens every day and it’s like it’s business as usual. That is the hypocrisy of our civil society and religious and traditional leaders, everybody is quiet, suddenly some say they don’t watch TV anymore and that they watch animals.

In our time they were not watching animals, they were watching political discussions. You’re now tired of too much politics…you’ll be tired, because your darling government is super incompetent and so you’re tired of hearing the analysis, that’s the hypocrisy we face in our country. So let us not buy into their propaganda”.

Ghaflagh.com has come across a photo of an invitation card for the funeral of late dancehall act, Ebony Reigns.

The invitation to the funeral is reportedly coming from the family of the late singer.

The turnout was a massive one for her one week memorial. As a result, management, and family of the late songstress are expecting a mammoth crowd during the final funeral rites of their beloved.

Details on the car sees the bereaved family extending their invitation to Ghanaians. They’re calling on Ghanaians to partake in the solemnization of the late star slated for March 24.

The venue for the burial service as reported earlier is at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.

Her final resting place is going to be the Osu Cemetery, Accra.

Meanwhile, her family and management in partnership with GTP Textile Limited recently unveiled the cloths for her burial.

The cloths according to her family can also be used at any occasion to keep the legacy of their late daughter alive.
A tribute concert is also scheduled to take place on March 23 in honor of the ‘Maame Hw3’ hitmaker.

On the bill to perform at the event which is coming off at the Trade Fair Center are several top Ghanaian artistes. The rate fee for the event is a cool Ghc10.
