Kumi Guitar Slams Pastor For Tagging CEO Of Zylofon Media As Occultist

Zylofon Music Signed artiste, Kumi Guitar has lashed out at Osofo Kyiri Abosom for saying the CEO of the firm is occultist.

Osofo Kyiri Abosom, real name Christian Kwabena Andrews is the General Overseer of Life Assembly Worship Center.

The controversial prophet said on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, the young CEO acquired his wealth through blood sacrifices.

He also claimed that, all the musicians who have signed onto Zylofon Music, have sold their souls to the devil. According to him,the CEO is an occult and his wealth is not genuine but evil money meant to enslave people.

He indicated further that, all the musicians who have been signed onto the label are also going to be used to win more souls for the devil.

But reacting to claims by the prophet, Kumi Guitar, slammed the prophet, testifying to the great transformation the label has made on his life.

According to Guitar, his life has transformed significantly after joining Zylofon music.

‘’formerly I could not take care of my child nor pay for the medical bills but since I signed onto Zylofon Music, I have seen significant transformation in his life”, he said.

Kumi Guitar added, “Someone has decided to help the creative arts industry grow and you are making claims that he is an occult?”

He couldn’t fathom why the man of God failed to approach Nana Appiah Mensah on his so-called prophecy.

He further described the pastor as a fake prophet who is capitalizing on the popularity and success of the CEO to make himself relevant.

Kumi Guitar is among the six artistes the company has signed onto its record label so far. The number will however reduce to five if it’s really true that dancehall act, Stonebwoy has left the organization.

Education Remains Key In Stopping Early Marriages – First Lady

The First Lady makes strides with girlchild education.

The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo charged Ghanaians to join the fight against Girl Child marriage. Also, to empower girls through education.

This year’s International Women’s Day celebration forum focused on girl child marriage and education.

Mrs Akuffo Addo spoke at the forum on the Theme, “Press for Progress”. Furthermore, she acknowledged some individuals who had positively impacted the lives of children in their communities.

Press for Progress – First Lady, Rebecca Akuffo Addo

“The 2018 International Women’s Day theme is ‘Press for progress’. All over the world, we are experiencing strong and concerted activism towards gender parity. Today is an opportunity for us to add our voices to the discussions to get us closer to our goal.

I certainly want to have my grandchildren to live in a Ghana where we have gender parity so this year’s theme speaks to something deep within me. For me, it means we move despite the obstacles. That we push forward in spite of the resistance. It means that we do not allow anything to stop us. Today, discussions will focus on two important and related issues. Girls’ education and the elimination of child marriages. Why the focus on these two issues? Because education is the catalyst for the development of the individual and the nation.”

Nana Appiah Mensah Finally Breaks Silence On Zylofon – Stonebwoy- Shatta Wale Brouhaha

Zylofon Media has been trending on all major news as well as social media platforms for some days now.

They are however trending not because of their work but because there are currently lots of controversies going on there.

It started with Shatta Wale reproaching Stonebwoy for donating to the accident victims at Korle-Bu Teaching hospital as part of his birthday celebrations last week.

And then we later heard that Stonebwoy had resigned from Zylofon Media.

The controversies however heightened when it was reported yesterday that Stonebwoy had fired gunshots at Bulldog for attempting to seize his car. This incident according to reports happened on Saturday night at Champs Bar in Accra.

Amidst all these, the Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah had remained silent.

He has however broken his silence when he took to social media to urge Ghanaians to remain calm.

In a tweet by Nana Appiah Mensah, he promised to solve the brouhaha amicably for peace to reign.

His tweet reads;

“ I urge all well wishers of @ shattawalegh,@ stonebwoyb and @ ZylofonMedia to remain very calm. Whatever differences, as with all human institutions would be resolved in the most civil and decorous fashion. Ghana shall prosper.# zylofonmusic # Ghanamusic # Ghanawi” .

“Have You Heard About Self-Defense? – Stonebwoy Explains Himself

Stonebwoy explains himself about the incident.

Over the weekend, there was an altercation between Stonebwoy and reps from Zylofon Media.

According to reports, there were gunshots because of the misunderstanding which happened between the Zylofon signed artiste and the workers.

Also, the younger brother of Stonebwoy was injured during the altercation. Therefore, he has filed a case of assault and theft against Bulldog born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson at the Nima Police station.

Stonebwoy narrated what happened at the Paloma Hotel.

Reggae and dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy confirmed that he fired gunshot at the recent chaos at Champs Bar in Accra.

Moreover, this was because Bull Dog and other unknown persons approached him to retrieve a car from him.

Furthermore, the artiste stated that he exhibited that action to defend himself.

Also, he replied; “have you heard about self-defense?”

He continued that Bull Dog and his entourage took the law into their hands. Therefore, he needed to protect himself because Ghanaians will be worried if he loses his life through unlawful acts.

Apparently, Zylofon Media‘s Bull Dog stormed Champs Bar in Accra with unknown peeps to retrieve a car from Stonebwoy they say the record label gave him when signing the musician for three years.

The hitmaker joined the Nana Appiah Mensah-owned company in June 2017. However, in recent times, there have been several reports of a possible breakup between the two.

Love At 35, Daddy At 36, Hubby At 37 – Ameyaw Debrah Narrates His Journey

Over the weekend, Ameyaw Debrah wedded his fiancee. Furthermore, he took to his website to detail the journey to his wedding.

Moreover, he spoke about how he met his wife and their baby and finally their wedding.

Words from Ameyaw Debrah about his wedding to Elsie

The last 3 years of my life have been exciting because I allowed myself to escape the comfort of hiding at home and my work to find love.

It came when I wasn’t expecting it, but at a time that I needed it. I was getting tired of doing the same thing over and over again; for although I loved it, it sometimes became lonely. And although I love the tranquillity and peace in loneliness, turning 35 was a good milestone to reflect over my life.

Darkoa was amongst the 35 family and friends I had selected to celebrate my 35th birthday with me over a dinner.

She was visiting Ghana for the first time since I started talking to her. The first memory I have of her was in May 2016 when I was in France, attending the Cannes film festival.

She had called, (through WhatsApp I think) to enquire about the services of an MC for a wedding. I told her I don’t do such but due to my work I could suggest someone for her.

Few days later she called again to thank me although they couldn’t use the person I has suggested for the MC job.

She drew a likeness for me and I her. And for some reasons although I typically hate chatting on WhatsApp with people I don’t know in real life, I became fond of her and gave her a lot more time than I give others.

We became buddies and as the universe would have it, she was meant to come to Ghana in the month of my birthday.

She surprised me with some pre_birthday gifts when she arrived in town. And when my birthday was due, I invited her to join my family and friends for dinner. And offer she refused initially but later called to accept.

More about the journey

the biggest dinner happened and there were a few more dinners later. And before she left Ghana, it was clear that we had some sparks.

So we continued exploring our friendship farther apart. But day in day out, we drew closer despite the distance. We would talk at odd hours due to the time difference about important and nor so important stuff.

She came back to Ghana for Christmas and that was when we got to spend more time together to know ourselves a bit better.

She stayed in Ghana for some three months and at this stage became comfortable to visit me at home and also meet my family.

So like the virgin Mary story, Darkoa conceived a baby. By the end of that year 2017, we welcomed our adorable Nathan under challenging circumstances. But he is a blessing, on that makes my proud to be a father.

Today I am happy that the journey has culminated into a blissful wedding that has United our families and friends.

Although it has been an expensive wedding, I believe it shall be an invaluable blessing.

I say a big thank you to all those who have stood by us to make this day possible. A special thank you to Mr Nathaniel Otu for not only being a great God father to my wife but a great body of counsel and example to me.

I also give a special thank you to Mr Abraham Aguribryi of Cedar Mountain Church for his great counselling sessions. Until I met him I never gave much importance to the role counsellors play in marriages but the real live examples and advice from him and his openness to bring challenged by a pragmatist like myself was simply impactful.

The journey has just begun but I am hopeful it shall end well with many happy stories to tell.

Please Note I typed this on my phone during my wedding so forgive any typos..

Shatta Wale Reproaches Stonebwoy Over Donation To Korle-Bu Accident Center

It looks like the bickering and between these two arch rivals is not ending anytime soon as the ‘Beef’ has been heated again. Who?  Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy of course.

Stonebwoy celebrated his 30th birthday a few days ago. As part of the celebration, he decided to make some donations and pay the outstanding bills of some patients. What best place than where he was also admitted some years back when he was involved in a car accident – the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

So Stonebwoy led his Charity team Foundation, The Livingstone Foundation there and they made their donations.

Just this morning, his arch rival and ironically label mate, Shatta Wale has heated the ‘beef’ again. The ‘Freedom’ hitmaker took to his Facebook wall to throw shades at the ‘My Name’ hitmaker.

According to Shatta, it is unfortunate the Stonebwoy pretends to be rich in the eyes of his friends. Meanwhile, he  ignores their needs and give absurd excuses that he doesn’t fancy buying cars for fans and friends like others do.

Read Shatta wrote on his Facebook Timeline below;

“They pretend they have money infront of their friends but anytime these friends ask them to do something for them. They will say chale me my money Ade put into sick people dem a inside for hospitals….and will continue to say things like and I quote “Me anobe like some people weh if dem get money dem go buy cars dash cars Etc…oh that’s good !! but my nigga you deh lie you kno get Foko….False pretender Stop pretending..it’s Friday”.

The rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has been on-going for as long as I can remember. Ghanaians for once thought it will all be over when Shatta was finally signed onto the same record label with Stonebwoy- Zylofon Media.

It however seems they got it all wrong as the rivalry between these two great talents continues. We eagerly waiting for the day these two will finally come out and say they’ve buried the hatchet though.

The birthday celebration which came off at the at the Polo Club Restaurant in Accra saw many public figures in attendance.

According to Rex Omar, he joined his colleagues at the event as a way of showing his appreciation to the ace broadcaster.

Rex Omar Speaks;

“Bola Ray as we know him has done a lot in the industry. He has supported a lot of up and coming artistes. He is someone who has always been supporting the creative industry especially the music industry so i thought that it was good for all of us to show appreciation and let him know how we appreciate him.” He told Eli Kharis on Rythmz Live on GhOneTV.

Rex Omar also noted the disunity among Ghanaian artistes, both the young and old ones. He further called on them to unite to help grow the Ghanaian music industry.

“It is not only the young artistes. Even the old artistes are not unified, and it has had its effect on the up and coming artistes. Most creative people have a chip on their shoulder so it makes it difficult for them to be together unless some neutral people like Bola Ray. Also is the management around these artistes, because they are all competing brands everyone wants to be in their corner and show who he is. It takes people who are neutral to us to help unify us.”

Most Christians Are Brainless And It’s Affecting Our Development — Kennedy Agyepong

Kennedy Agyepong speaks his mind.

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong has slammed Ghanaian Christians. Moreover, he describes a huge number of them as brainless.

Furthermore, he explains that they prefer going to church to speak in tongues than to use the brain God put in their heads.

According to Agyepong, that brainlessness is holding back Ghana’s development. This is because we are not utilizing our full potential.

God gave us a brain to use – Kennedy Agyepong

Furthermore, speaking on the issue, Agyepong said that God gave us a brain for a reason. Therefore, we have to use it rather than wasting it in church.

“How can we develop when we spend most of the time in churches praying?

God gave you the brain to think, protect yourself and work to feed yourself but every day you are in the church praying in tongues, how can you develop with such a mentality”.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, the women advocate said the reports are hoax.

“I was tough on Joselyn Dumas and she will testify to that because she had huge potential. We have best of respect for each other. I can never understand where I and Joselyn Dumas having an issue came from,” she said.

The outspoken presenter also lamented the practice where companies demand years of experience before employing young people.

According to her, it is an unfair practice. This she explains is because a person can only become experienced in something if only given the opportunity to do that thing.

“Companies are looking for perfection from these young ones even though they don’t have the experience. If we don’t give them the opportunity, how do they gain experience? It’s not fair,” She bemoaned.

Strongman Queries Sarkodie’s Influence On His Career

Since the announcement and unveiling of the nominees for the 19th edition of the VGMAs, tempers have been rising.Whilst some artistes are celebrating, a few on the other hand have been registering their disappointment.

We however seem used to it when the temper is rising at the VGMA board because, it has been the norm for years now.

However, the drive has taking a new turn as it’s not towards the VGMA board but to an artiste’s own record label.

And to think that it’s no other label but the SarkCess Music Label owned by multiple awards-winning act, Sarkodie.

Sarkcess Music’s Strongman has registered his disappointed at his record label. Strongman, from all indications expected more from his label. This is because, he couldn’t help but to attack the label on his tweeter handle  shortly after the announcement of all the nominees.

Ghaflagh.com has come across such tweet by the ‘Odasani’ singer and one could feel his fury from his tweets below;

“So everyday the #sarkeffect #sarkeffect u guys dey talk no only one nomination for the whole TRANSFORMER. This is very bad.”

Not even a piece of advise from a fan could calm the peeved nerves of the Sarkcess Music act.

The tweet from the fan who goes by the name Evans Konadu reads;

“you shouldn’t have tweeted this man. When your time comes you would understand. No one can stop your talent not even Awards”

Strongman fumed back with the reply;

“When will that time come… 8yrs now”

Background

Strongman

Strongman, known in real life as Osei Kwaku Vincent was signed onto the SarkCess Music Record Label in 2017.

He  however saw himself in the limelight after winning the “Focus fm Freestyle Friday” in 2010. Again, he won the “Kfm Freestyle Saturday” in 2011 and “Tha Next Big Thang In Gh Hip-hop” in 2012. He is regarded as one of the most creative rappers in Ghana.

That notwithstanding, Strongman got just one nomination at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He’s in the ‘Best Rapper of the Year’ category with his song ‘Tranformer’, which features Akwaboah.

He’s competing with five others including his Label boss, Sarkodie himself.

Since its inception in the year 2000, The Vodafone Sponsored Ghana Music Awards has become the biggest awards scheme in Ghana.

It is arguably now the biggest event on the Ghanaian Entertainment Calendar which aims to among other things, recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the various players in Ghana’s music industry through the nations most coveted awards scheme.
