Attah, is currently pursuing his education outside the country.

Photos: Sarkodie’s Daughter Grows More Beautiful Each Day, Turns Two Years Already

Adalyn Owusu aka Titi, daughter of the best Rapper in Africa, Sarkodie turned two years old yesterday.

Born on March 28th, 2017, Titi has won the hearts of many across the globe.

Sarkodie and his baby mama, Tracy couldn’t hide their joy and love to their daughter.

Each took to social media to wish Princess Titi a happy birthday with much love.

On Instagram, Tracy posts beautiful photos of the girl with the caption;

Fuse ODG Buses 200 Kids To Watch Epic Black Panther Movie At Silverbird

Awards-winning Ghanaian born-UK based musician, Fuse ODG has bused 200 pupils to watch the current reigning movie i the world, Black Panther.

According to Fuse, his musical career is not to enrich himself but to help the poor and vulnerable in the society.

The ‘Antenna’ hitmaker further revealed that he seeks help others make it in life. For this reason, he and his team built the ‘Wood Word Mission’ school for the less privileged in Akosombo.

Fuse ODG, does not only provide education for kids. He is also committed to harnessing the talents and creativity of his pupils.

In line with that, ODG bused 200 of his pupils to Silverbird Cinema to watch the epic American Marvel Studios movie; Black Panther.

Quotes from ODG’s Interview;

“I just feel like as an artiste with the opportunity and blessings that I have, I need to use it to help other people. My purpose is not just to make music; it’s to help other people. And these kids are kids from a primary school that we built in Akosombo.” He told Joy News’ MzGee;

According to Fuse; “It’s a school that we built from scratch; we started in 2007. So it’s been a long time since we started building the school. It was way before my music actually blew up globally. So it’s a school that we started from the foundation so when my music blew up, I decided to contribute a lot more to it because I had the platform”

“And now, we’re working to raise money to build a secondary school so right now, it’s just a primary school,” he added.

Asked what motivated him to bus 200 kids from his school to Silverbird to watch the Black Panther movie, he said;

“It’s such a pleasure. To be able to bring them to Accra for them to watch an international movie that’s like the highest selling movie of all time is a blessing.”

He also added that; “Because it’s not just any movie, it’s a movie that promotes self-love and pride in our culture so it’s such a pleasure to see these kids enjoy it, they had a great time, and it’s an experience they’ll remember forever.”

Build More Theaters To Aid Growth – Wanluv Tells Government

Controversial musician Wanlov the Kubolor, has made a passionate appeal to the government of Ghana.

Kubolor appeals that the governamnt should build more theaters in the country to aid the growth of the creative arts industry.

The ‘Konkonsa’ crooner argued that when theaters are built across the country, actors will effectively tell stories that impact society.

Quotes from Kubolor’s appeal;

“I will be [happier] if there were smaller theaters all around the city or the country doing small plays which are addressing issues in the community,” he said.

“That will be a better sign for me than huge plays which will offend some people who are taking advantage of us,” he added.

Kubolor made this comment as the world marked Theater Day on Tuesday, March 27. He was speaking in an interview with Becky on the EWITHBECKS show on Joy Prime TV.

Wanlov, who is also a film production tutor, revealed that his music group, FOKN Bois, has been signed by ‘Quiet Elegance’ in Germany.

Ebony’s Look-Alike Threatens To Exchange Blows With Anyone Who Messes With Her

Tema based nursing assistant, Akosua Kyeremanteng, ‘Ebony’s look-alike’ has sent a strong warning to her critics.

It looks like there’s a controversy between Ghanaians about Akosua. Whiles a section of the public actually believe she looks like the late dancehall diva, the other section does not concord to that.

The ‘Nay’ section of the public are strongly disagrees that the nursing assistant bears any resemblance with their late star. According to them, apart from her hair style and probably dark complexion, there’s nothing more on her the bears any resemblance with Ebony.

It would be recalled that after Ebony died, she was spotted at her one-week memorial dressed like the late Ebony.

In an interview, she indicated that she knew Ebony and had always liked her and her songs.

But perhaps, what enraged Ghanaians was the fact that organizers allowed her to perform on one of Ebony’s songs. This was at the tribute concert for the late dancehall star on March 23.

As a result, many have back lashed her for this. Moreso for showing up at the funeral of the late songstress. They believe that Akosua Kyeremanteng is just using that assertion to the fame ladder.

However, Akosua is saying enough is enough. She took to her Facebook page to sound a strong warning to Ghanaians.

Akosua(Ebony’s look-alike) threatened to beat  up anyone she caught gossiping about her.

She added that she doesn’t beg anyone for before she feeds because she’s gainfully-employed nurse.

Davido Fires Sarkodie’s Fan For Comparing Him To The Rapper

As reported earlier, Sarkodie, the best rapper in Africa threw a Jollof cooking contest to Nigerian singer Davido on Twitter.

This comes after Cassper Nyovest who is currently in Ghana stated he is having a hard time choosing between  Nigerian and Ghana Jollof.

We all know the ‘Jollof’ battle between Ghanaians and Nigerians and how far that has gone.

Cassper, in a tweet further stated he enjoyed a Jollof when he visited Nigeria at Davido’s house and it was the best.

“Hahaha..Had some lit Jollof at Davido’s house actually. Called him the next day like WHA???.”

Davido replied by tweeting;

“Looooool na we get the sauce oo”

However, Sarkodie weighed in and sarcastically stated that Nyovest ate it because he had no choice. As a result,  Sark threw a Jollof cooking challenge at Davido.

“Forget bro … you had no choice… You need options… hit me up I can even make you the best jollof via voice note”

Davido on the other hand responded but wants the competition to be at the studio.

He tweeted,

“Forget this one, let’s do gbedu competition.. make studio turn to kitchen lmao“.

It’s obvious that when celebrities are playing, their fans will definitely jump in.

That was exactly what one fan, believed to be for Sarkodie did. However, the fan decided to let go of the cooking aspect and to jab Nigerian act Davido. He also tweeted:

“Davido at your singing field, you’re not even the best in Africa. Sark is currently the best rapper in Africa. Lol. Conquer your field first so we talk about this.”

The Nigerian superstar also did not let this comment pass. He replied the fan asking him to shut up and go work for his daughter imade.

“No, let’s talk about your face first! Coming from someone with zero achievements! shutup and go and work for imade”

Photos: NPP Government Renames Flagstaff House To Jubilee House

.The official name of the seat of government has been reversed from Flagstaff House to Jubilee House by the current NPP Government.

It was initially given the name Flagstaff House by Ghana’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This was after he re-developed it in the 1960s to serve as his official residence and office.

The facility was re-built in 2008 during the tenure of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) John Agyekum Kufuor.

In 2009, the Indian government took over the finance and construction of the edifice which serves as seat for the president with an amount of $135.

After its construction, it was named the Golden Jubilee House when Ghana was celebrating 50 years since independence.

However, the name didn’t go down well with the then Opposition Party, the Democratic Congress (NDC) under the late President John Evans Atta-Mills.

And so when he took over governance in 2009, Prof. Mills moved the office of the president back to the Osu Castle. He later changed the sign in front of the building back to its original name(Flagstaff House). This according to him was because the previous government had not used a Legislative Instrument to effect the change as required by law.

As usual, the NPP couldn’t also accept this change. It vowed to change the name back to Jubilee House whenever it regained power.

Background

The name of the building has been a bone of contention between the NPP and National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the past decade. This is however, depending on which party is in government.

Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his campaign hinted of the name change.

According to him, the position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rename the Flagstaff House and Founder’s Day is outstanding.

Akufo-Addo gets $1m India money to renovate Jubilee House
The Indian government donated an amount of$1 million dollars to the Akufo-Addo government. That was in August 2017 for the renovation of the edifice.

Making the donation was India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, M.J. Akbar who paid a courtesy call on President Nana Akufo-Addo on the occasion of India’s 70th independence anniversary.

The change of name of the seat of government become the second time in nine years.

Kelvynboy apologises to Mark Okraku Mantey.

Burniton Music Group artiste, Kelvyn Boy sincerely expressed regret to Mark Okraku Mantey. Moreover, the apology was for using a line of Oheneba Kissih’s ‘Asen Ben Ni’ song in his single, ‘Na You’ unlawfully.

Furthermore, the fast-rising singer, Kelvynboy apologized to Mark Okraku Mantey song on Hitz FM.

Mark made his intention to prompt the singer over the illicit act. However, he made it clear that he did not need his cash but just wanted recognition.

Kelvyn Boy in the interview with Andy Dosty admitted his mistake. Furthermore, he asked the music producer to forgive him.

He explained why he used words of Oheneba Kissih’s tune in his song. The VGMA’s unsung artiste disclosed that he liked the verse of the legendary highlife artiste. Hence his decision to add it in his ‘Na You’ single.

Also, he was asked why he did not contact the owner of the song or his producer, Mark Okreku Mantey for permission. Kelvyn Boy replied that he saw no need because it was just some few words of the song but not instrumentals, rhythm or sampling of the full song.

Koku Anyidoho Charged With Treason

Koku Anyidoho is in hot waters.

The police arrested the Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress Koku Anyidoho. Moreover, the CID charged him treason.

Furthermore, his lawyer Victor Adawudu confirmed the charge to Joy News. Also, he reported the police saying the suspect will not be released on bail.

Therefore, he spent the night in jail. This due to his comments government described as “treasonable.”

The police whisked him from the headquarters to an unknown location.

Moreover, hundreds of supporters converged at the Police HQ to demand the release of Koku Anyidoho. They blocked roads, fomented trouble and later dispersed by the police.

“On the January 13, 1972 a certain Col. Ignatius Kutu Acheampong led a movement that removed the Progress Party from power. Busia was the Prime Minister and Akufo-Addo’s father was a ceremonial president. Somebody should tell Nana Akufo-Addo that history has a very interesting way of repeating itself.

There’ll be a civilian coup d’etat; there’ll be a social revolution and the movement is starting on Wednesday. He [Akufo-Addo] will be fed up at the Presidency.”

2018 Jollof War: Sarkodie Challenges Davido To A Jollof Rice Cooking Competition, He Responds With…

Awards-wining Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie has challenged colleague Nigerian musician, Davido to a Jollof cooking contest.

It all started with South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest, in quest to find out which country has the best Jollof.

Of course, he has heard about all the Ghana Vrs Nigeria Jollof sagas and he wanted to know who really is the champion.

As a result, Cassper Nyovest posted a poll on his twitter handle with the caption;

“Don’t know if I love Ghanaian or Nigerian Jollof rice more…. What’s your Preference?”

At the time of writing this story, the poll has 18,031 votes, with 52% of the votes in favor of Nigerians and 48% in favor of Ghanaians.

However, Davido replied by tweeting; “Looooool na we get the sauce oo”

Cassper came back to say he had the best Jollef at Davido’s house;  “Hahaha.. Had some lit Jollof at Davido ‘s house actually. Called him the next day like WHA??? @iam_Davido.”

Sarkodie who couldn’t take it any longer came on to tell the South African rapper he had no choice but to eat what Davido presented.

“Forget bro … you had no choice … You need options … hit me up I can even make you the best jollof cook Via voice note ”

He later added that he should just put he and Davido in the kitchen and he’ll know the end result.

Davido however responds by tweeting that he wants the challenge to be a music one in the studio.

“Forget this one let’s do gbedu Competiton.. make studio turn kitchen lmao.”

Ghanaian actress, Victoria Lebene caused a stir on social media with her latest post. Furthermore, the photo shows her in a beach photo with a white man. Apparently, the man is her new alleged boyfriend.

Happy Birthday To President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo

Today is President Nana Addo’s birthday.

Nana Akufo-Addo is the son of Edward Akufo-Addo and Madam Adeline Akufo-Addo. Furthermore, he hails from Kyebi in the Eastern Region.

Nana Akufo-Addo’s wife is Rebecca Akufo-Addo (nee Griffiths-Randolph). Moreover, he has five daughters.

Nana Akufo-Addo was raised at Swalaba in Accra (Accra Central) and in the Nima area of Accra.

Educational Background

Nana Akufo-Addo received his primary education at the Government Boys School and went to Orielly Secondary School, and later at the Rowe Road School (now Kinbu), both in Accra Central. He went to England to study for his O Level and A Level examinations at Lancing College, Sussex.

He returned to Ghana in 1962 to teach at the Accra Academy before going to read Economics at the University of Ghana, Legon, in 1964, earning a BSc(Econ) degree in 1967.

Subsequently, he studied law in the UK. The English Bar (Middle Temple) called him to the bar in July 1971.

Political career

In 1995, he led the famous “Kume Preko” demonstrations of the Alliance For Change (AFC).

Nana Akufo-Addo contested as NPP Presidential Candidate in 1998 for the first time and came second to J A. Kufuor.

Nana Akufo-Addo resigned from the Kufuor government in July 2007 to contest for the position of Presidential candidate of his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the then ruling party of Ghana, for the 2008 elections.

Finally, in 2016, he campaigned and won the general elections. This makes him the 5th President of the Fourth Republic.

Wutah Breaking Up Again?

Ghanaian music group, Wutah is possibly on the verge of breakup.

Moreover, the group first broke up somewhere in 2009. Also, they went their separate ways for almost seven years. However, they announced their comeback in 2017 and releasd ‘AK47′ as well as ‘Bronya”

On Zylofon radio morning show, their entertainment news stated that Afriyie and Kobby have problems. Moreover, it might end up collapsing the music group.

Apparently, the genesis of the disagreement between the music duo is that Kobby has started releasing singles over the expense of promoting works by the group. However, Kobby denied the pending split when he was contacted. He stated that all the songs he has been releasing in recent times were recorded before they reunited.

“Wutah is still together and I will forever be Wutah. The truth is that when we parted ways in 2009, I had two albums to my credit and did a couple of singles. I actually recorded a full album that had only one song out before we reunited so those are the ones I’m releasing now. There’s nothing like disagreement in our camp or whatsoever. Afriyie and myself are still together and Wutah”

Judges For ‘Bumper To Bumper’ Announced

TV Africa’ first-ever dance reality show, Bumper To Bumper names their judges.

Moreover, the judges are dance lecturer Terry Bright Fosu and famed dancer Adjetey Sowah. Furthermore, they are lead and supporting judges respectively.

Firstly, Terry Bright Fosu plays a key role on the show as a permanent judge. Therefore, he will offer constructive criticisms to the contestants to shape their careers.

Due to his years of experience and contribution to dance, Terry is the preferred choice as lead judge for Bumper to Bumper.

According to him, one of his greatest passion is to train dancers. Therefore, they will impact arts and society positively. He also mentions that the thought of TV Africa bringing people together to dance and show their skills on Bumper To Bumper is a great fantastic idea. Also, he is excited to be part of it.

Paa Kwesi Ackom, executive producer of the show in an interview stated that Bumper To Bumper is TV Africa’s initiative to empower the youth.

Expect ‘Shatta Lipstick’ On The Market Soon – Shatta Wale

Self-acclaimed dance hall King, Shatta Wale has said Ghanaians should watch out for him as he’ll soon drop into the market a lipstick line called ‘Shatta lipstick.’

Shatta Wale yesterday released a long video on Facebook in response to the mockery of his ‘big mouth’ by his critics.

The mockery about Shatta Wale’s big mouth gained traction on social media when rapper Yaa Pono made a diss song titled “Gbee Naabu”, which means, the mouth of a dog, about Shatta.

Since then, Shatta Wale’s critics have been taunting him on social media with the tag Gbee Naabu.

However, it seems the SM King is fed up of people criticizing him for the size of his mouth that he had to record a video to warn his critics.

Reacting to this in a Facebook live video, the award-winning controversial artiste wondered why his lips had become topical on social media.

The ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker did not spare his critics at all as he back lashed and preached to them in the video.

He noted that people are envious of his big mouth. Adding that the ‘plenty’ talk about it has encouraged him to introduce a lipstick brand onto the market.

“Because of my lips, I will start to do lipstick for girls, shatta lipstick, because you people love this lips too much. I have to host a show and name it ‘all lips show’ because my lips do so many things, if you envy my lips please tell me,” he said.

The freedom hitmaker further stated that his mouth is a creation from God and whoever wants such a big mouth should pray to God for one.

“It’s God who gave it to me, so, if you want similar or same, I’ll give you his post office number, write to God, he’ll surely deliver it because if you ask anything from God, he’ll surely give it to you. Just tell God that you want your lips to change like Shatta’s own, he’ll do it for you but don’t envy my own” he stressed.

South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest debunked media reports that he did not know the identity of Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.

Moreover, he disclosed this on TV Africa’s, ’The Breakfast Live’’

The rapper came under fire from SM fans. Furthermore, he stated that his comments were misconstrued by the media.

“I was asked a question on who my favorite dancehall artiste was and I said Stonebwoy. Stonebwoy because, I mean I have known him for years. Also, I am a big fan and then I say I don’t know Shatta Wale’s music. However, it wasn’t an insult. Just like how South African music isn’t popular here and his music isn’t popular in South Africa so I don’t know his music, I can’t judge.”

“He further explained to the host, what I have to do is to sit down and listen to his songs but I am aware of his name because I have read about him saying something about Wizkid.”

“So yeah I know the controversy and how he speaks his mind but I have never heard the music. People just took it like I am throwing shades at him or comparing. I can’t because I know only one of them.

I have realized some SM fans have been losing their minds on social media and taking swipes at me but I’m used to it.”

Stonebowy Records New Hit Song With Cassper Nyovest

Ghanaian BET award-winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy keeps raising the flag of Ghana high with each passing day.

The ‘Bawasaba’ hitmaker is once again ‘cooking’ something we all know will be delicious with South Africa born recording artiste, Cassper Nyovest.

Both Cassper Nyovest and Stonebwoy made this announcement via posts on the social media handles.

“Made a smash hit last night,” Stonebwoy wrote on Facebook on Wednesday afternoon.

Cassper on the other hand took to Twitter and wrote; “Amazing Brother.. Great Session Last night”

This comes few days after Cassper had publicly chosen Stonebwoy as his favorite dance hall artiste in Africa.

 

This is the second time Cassper and Stonebwoy are doing a joint project. The first, ‘Fever’ was released in 2015.

The BMG frontman divulged what a great time their session was, taking to Twitter to express that to his fans.

Popular Ghanaian musician Kwaku Gyasi clarifies an allegation that he is into occultism.

Moreover, a certain Osofo Maame Dokor mad these claims. Furthermore, she stated that Gyasi is a member of the secret society.

Kwaku Gyasi made these statements to Nana Romeo on Accra FM

“I am not into occultism and I have never belonged to any occultism group, I hardly hear that word”.

On this earth, if God does not help you, no one can help you. Everything Satan does has limitations and consequences as well, but for God it is natural. You can be thousand years but if God wants to bless you there are no limitations.”
